Impressive integration of customer behavior with an easy setup and okay support
I've worked with all major content management systems. Currently, I work with the leaders such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, and Acquia Working with big companies, I help them either consider setting up a new content management system or address issues they might have with their existing…

Good integration capabilities and good security but needs to allow for easier template customization
The solution should be offered in Persian. Right now, our version is in English, and there's a bit of a language barrier between the users and the product. It would be helpful if Oracle could create some sort of facility to customize templates easily if users use JavaScript or other internal tools.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The best feature is the experience fragment; if you want to replicate content across multiple websites with 1,000 or 20,000 pages, this feature helps accomplish it in a fraction of seconds."
"The integration of customer behavior and website setup is impressive."
"Easy to work with the solution."
"Adobe Experience Manager is pretty stable."
"It is easy to learn. You don't need to be an advanced Java developer."
"Adobe Experience Manager is a content management system, and we use it to create and manage a website."
"The integration of customer behavior and website setup is impressive."
"The most valuable features of Adobe Experience Manager include its capability to manage content and create reusable fragments."
"You can move workloads in between sub-servers so that you don't overload a portion of the server."
"Oracle integrates well with other products to cover Big Data."
"Integration within the solution is very good."
"The WebCenter Content is its most valuable feature. After we update a document in WebCenter Content, it can be update automatically in our intranet."
"It's a very scalable solution and the performance is pretty good. The scalability, in my opinion, is the biggest advantage."
"WebCenter's interface is very user-friendly."
"A great solution for storing and searching large volumes of documents with easy access."

Cons

"Many people complain about the price as it's one of the most expensive tools."
"Tool-wise, the Adobe Experience Manager support team is not very responsive when the user face issues in AEM as a Cloud Service."
"Programming model could be improved, it's a monolithic solution."
"Adobe Experience Manager could improve by allowing the reuse of components like a progress bar across multiple pages to make the development process more efficient."
"In comparison to other CMS products, Adobe Experience Manager is missing some capabilities such as proper versioning or a better versioning system and backend connectivity. If something is deleted in AEM, the user cannot recover it. You have to call technical support, and they will need to recover the whole instance. So, it's really difficult. For example, if you delete a page, you cannot recover it. There should be an option to recover it. In AEM, you have to go to the previous state of the instance itself or the virtual machine, and you have to restore everything, which is not good."
"There is a feature missing where if content is created on the UAT environment and needs to be transferred or synced to the production environment, there is no direct way of doing the sync."
"The solution's pricing and stability could be improved."
"Adobe's technical support is so-so."
"The speed of the backup should be enhanced."
"This solution needs to support translation into the Arabic language."
"Does not seem to be totally compatible with Windows 10 as of our current version."
"WebCenter requires a lot of design effort to upload content to our regular system."
"Its functions need more stability."
"The solution should be offered in Persian. Right now, our version is in English, and there's a bit of a language barrier between the users and the product."
"There are many document management systems that offer pretty much the same functionalities but at a lower price. The product as such is pretty good. However, the pricing is not comparable. They need to adjust their pricing to be more competitive on the market."
"I would like them to add more Web 2.0 features."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's really costly."
"Users have to pay a yearly licensing fee to use the solution, which is highly-priced."
"There's a free trial for one month for Adobe Experience Manager, which you can use for learning purposes, then, after the trial period, you'll need to purchase the license. Adobe offers a few plans for Adobe Experience Manager, but I'm unaware of how much my company is paying."
"It's a costly solution. I would rate the price at two out of five on a scale from one to five, where one is the most expensive and five is the most competitive."
"WebCenter's pricing is on the higher side."
"The price needs to be lowered."
"The price of this solution is considered to be high; however, when speaking with Oracle, it is possible to get discounts of up to sixty percent."
