Adaptive scales well, simple to create new budget versions and models
For the organization I used to work at, it streamlined the process of creating budgets. It's very simple to create a new version and do some more modeling based on your need for planning things like headcount, other expenses, and revenue, everything is configurable within Workday. So that made it easy. Reporting was pretty easy to set up as well. It streamlined the amount of time it took to do the budget as well as kind of making it simple to implement a rolling forecast process. So, it really was more just a productivity increase and time shortening for the budgeting and forecasting process.

The use of data forms simplifies financial data management and input processes
The best feature of Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud is the possibility to use data forms to input data and allow users to have a template with the data form. For users, it is not necessary to go with a free form to take data or input data. My automotive customer transitioned from Essbase on-premise to Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud specifically for the data forms functionality. This is the main feature that Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud offers compared to the Essbase on-premise solution. Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud offers the possibility to use data forms for viewing and inputting data. This is the easiest way to perform these actions without using free forms.

Has reduced manual effort through customization and streamlined API-based integrations
The best features Sage Intacct offers include the import functionality, support for customization, and the platform that allows me to modify whatever I want. The triggers and reports are built very well and user-friendly, so I can modify this, and this is one of the best features it provides. The import functionality helps because once I download the template from Sage Intacct, I can fill out the specific columns with the data that I need to import into the system, and it will do the work instead of adding those details manually. The platform services allow me to add functionalities such as sending an email once I generate any AP bill or approve vendors. Additionally, I can call external API services or Sage Intacct API to validate those fields, which is good for users. Sage Intacct has positively impacted my organization through improved collaboration and saved time. I can import data easily, and since it is user-friendly, I encounter fewer errors. For example, the work I used to do in one or two days now gets completed in one or two hours.

"The solution automates the planning processes and does it in real-time."
"The most valuable feature of Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud is ad hoc reporting."

"Sage Intacct has impacted our organization very positively; we now have a good relationship with Sage Intacct and are working on new projects for Sage Intacct."
"The user-friendliness of Sage Intacct has helped my team and clients by saving customer time and our developers' and consultants' time; for instance, if a project takes 100 hours on Sage X3, it only takes about 60 or 50 hours on Intacct, allowing us to manage it from anywhere since it is cloud-based."
"The best features Sage Intacct offers include the import functionality, support for customization, and the platform that allows me to modify whatever I want."
"We also use some of the other Sage solutions and for the most part, everything was integrated in the manner that I found beneficial."
"The reporting capabilities stood out for me because we could generate required reports from Sage Intacct, including all financial statements needed for consolidation and various reconciliations with the parent company and the subsidiary."
"Overall, Sage Intacct has helped us move faster, improve accuracy, and make better-informed decisions with real-time data."
"Sage Intacct has impacted my organization positively as it improves on a regular basis whenever I find glitches."

Cons

"The integrations could be simpler. It takes quite a bit of internal and IT know-how to set up."
"It's a Workday product; they could do a little bit better to integrate a pure-play integration with Workday, which really doesn't do that."
"We tried Discovery and OfficeConnect at one point and found them too cumbersome, at the time."
"Users continue to become more advanced and are looking for more advanced solutions."
"Better user interface (UI)."
"Their customer support team is slow to respond and not extremely confident."
"Adaptive Insights could improve the data designer interface to make integrations easier to set up."
"Discovery (the data visualization module): Needs to catch up with BI leaders, such as MS and Tableau. E.g., sorting by amounts in column charts and page slicers to control all visuals."
"Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud could improve by creating a more visual and user-friendly interface similar to the old ABC analytics."
"The FR recording studio that is used to build reports is clunky and awful to use. This could be improved a lot. The solution does have problems and limitations."
"Oracle made a mistake by forcing HFM users to transition to FCCS before the solution was mature enough."
"Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud could improve by having better integration with some other modules that we would add to this solution."
"There are some issues with block creation in the memory. Sometimes, when we run a calculation and a new intersection is hit during the calculation, the memory block doesn't get created, which doesn't give the correct result."
"Oracle initially forced HFM users to migrate to FCCS, which was difficult because moving applications wasn't easy."
"Some of the things in this product are just too cumbersome and we don't need them and they make it harder to do certain things, or certain things have to have more specific names or descriptions."
"One potential improvement would be a more visual workflow, as the current method using a tax list is not as effective."
"Customer support can be improved, as they sometimes respond with a delay. For instance, if I expect a response in two days, I receive it in four to five days."
"Sage Intacct can be improved because it is not always intuitive; there is a lot of money that goes into customization and reworking, and when they pilot new enhancements, they have an early adopter promo that can come with bugs."
"There's a little bit of room for improvement in the way that accounts payable approval workflows are set up. They could be a little more powerful than they are."
"Customer support can be improved, as they sometimes respond with a delay. For instance, if I expect a response in two days, I receive it in four to five days."
"While we can create, post, and manage general entries, we face a limitation in allocating multiple JL accounts."
"The area where I would like to see significant improvement is in stock management."
"Sage Intacct is very strong overall, but if I had to suggest improvements, I would say the learning curve could be smoother for new users."
"I would rate the customer support from Sage Intacct a 3 or 3.5, while I would rate our reseller's support around 7 or 8."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Prior to purchasing licenses, make sure you understand which users will only need planning and which users will need both planning and OfficeConnect."
"It's affordable."
"Adaptive Insights' pricing is relative to its peer competitors. It's certainly competitive compared to a spreadsheet template that you build in Excel. It can be expensive if you need to have 100-500 budget holders giving input and building financial plans. However, in that case, it becomes an extremely good bargain. Compared to its competitors, it offers an excellent value."
"Licensing seems to be worth the cost considering the efficiency Adaptive brings."
"Everything is negotiable, but this solution is low cost compared to others."
"Adaptive Insights' pricing is reasonable."
"Pricing is in line with other cloud-based EPM tools. It is a subscription-based model based upon the number of users and site type if it's an admin or end-user type thing."
"Ensure that you have the proper pricing plan in place."
"There is an annual subscription for this solution and it is priced high."
"The price of Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud is expensive. However, it solves a lot of issues at the company. Having a better price could make us think about using more cloud products for Oracle and increase usage."
"It is expensive."
"The solution is free."
"Compared to other ERP systems on the market, it offers competitive and reasonable pricing."
"The price is comparable to other companies which offer similar products."
"Sage is on the higher end of pricing."
"It's reasonably priced, offering fixed pricing, which is quite fair."
