The best features Sage Intacct offers include the import functionality, support for customization, and the platform that allows me to modify whatever I want. The triggers and reports are built very well and user-friendly, so I can modify this, and this is one of the best features it provides. The import functionality helps because once I download the template from Sage Intacct, I can fill out the specific columns with the data that I need to import into the system, and it will do the work instead of adding those details manually. The platform services allow me to add functionalities such as sending an email once I generate any AP bill or approve vendors. Additionally, I can call external API services or Sage Intacct API to validate those fields, which is good for users. Sage Intacct has positively impacted my organization through improved collaboration and saved time. I can import data easily, and since it is user-friendly, I encounter fewer errors. For example, the work I used to do in one or two days now gets completed in one or two hours.

The best features Sage Intacct offers in my experience include dimensional charts of accounts, real-time dashboards for reporting, automated workflows and approvals, multi-entity and multi-currency support, a strong core for financials, its integration-friendly platform, audit trails, compliance features, and project, contract, and costing functionalities. Since we started using Sage Intacct, the biggest improvements have been visibility and efficiency. We now have real-time access to accurate financial data, which means we are not waiting until month-end to understand how we are performing. Reporting that used to take days is now available in minutes, and there are far fewer manual spreadsheets. Overall, Sage Intacct has helped us move faster, improve accuracy, and make better-informed decisions with real-time data. The biggest outcome for us has been time savings around reporting and month-end close. For example, our monthly management reports went from taking around two to three days to less than half a day, mainly because reports are now real-time and dimensionally driven instead of spreadsheet-based. Reporting time has dropped from days to hours, and errors have decreased significantly due to better controls and automation.

There are a few small things I have observed that Sage Intacct could improve, such as the ability to categorize customers or vendors, but when running aging reports, it does not allow running aging for categorized types. For instance, there are inter-company vendors and trade vendors, and the trade vendors can have sub-categories such as legal vendors, lease vendors, utility vendors, rental vendors, professional services, and audit services. When we sub-categorize these types of vendors under trade vendors, the system does not allow us to run aging exclusively for trade vendors. This is one example of a small change that could enhance the system. I would suggest that Sage Intacct provide more content regarding integrations, specifically example videos for integrating with major players such as Salesforce. Short examples demonstrating integration processes of approximately 20 minutes would be particularly useful. On the reporting front, while Sage Intacct's reporting capabilities are good and include a paid module, any enhancements in this area would certainly add value. I chose 8.5 as my rating for Sage Intacct because there is a good utility example from QuickBooks. In QuickBooks, when creating a vendor transaction, if you need to refund the vendor, you can track all transactions under one record. Unfortunately, in Sage Intacct, we lack this facility. There are several minor improvements that could be addressed in future updates, and while Sage Intacct is an excellent tool, it is not yet near perfection.
