Our use case is sharing the file with multiple users. It's a centralized file share system.
The best features in GoAnywhere MFT are that it's fast, reliable, and secure.
First, the improvement is that we have resolved one of our security points with compliance. So that compliance point we resolved. And also it's a centralized file sharing system. All the users are able to access the file. There is no one-to-one sharing. It's improved about 80 to 85%.
It saves about 80 to 90% resources. In terms of time, we can say 90 to 95% time is also saved because it avoids the one-to-one sharing and simply a user can put one centralized directory and all the users are able to access this solution and access the file. So it's 95%.
There is room for improvement in the UI part. Sometimes file sharing gets failed. Many of the users in the last week faced the issue that the files are not delivered. Maybe the sharing part, the consistency, we can improve.
I'd improve the UI and the file-sharing aspect because the UI needs lots of improvement because it's very confusing and it's good for the technical person, but any non-tech person who is going to use that, they get confused.
There are rarely file issues, but I can say it's a nine, stable, because it rarely shows any issue.
It's a 10. In scalability aspect, we haven't seen any issue.
Technical support is a 10.
Positive
GoAnywhere MFT is a very good product for the large scale of users. Since we are using it, 200 plus users are using this solution. It's good for the large scale of users. Compared to the other, in the first initial stage, before moving to GoAnywhere MFT, we deployed one open-source SFTP system. But it's very critical, we are not able to manage its high availability. Since GoAnywhere MFT is a reliable solution, it's good.
There is one open-source SFTP software. Compared to that SFTP, GoAnywhere MFT is the most reliable solution we can say. It does not crash or it rarely shows some issues. There are some issues, but it rarely shows some issues. But that SFTP solution we had implemented has lots of issues and bugs and glitches. Compared to that, it's very good.
Deployment is pretty much straightforward.
It takes around two weeks to deploy.
From the last eight months, maintenance is not complex to maintain. It barely required any maintenance, but maintenance is not a big thing. During the maintenance also, it doesn't go down. During the maintenance, it's able to share the file. It's easy, and easy in the sense it's reliable. During the maintenance also, it serves its purpose.
The pricing aspect is not handled by the DevOps team, particularly. It's managed by the finance department, technical finance department. We don't have any particular clarity about the pricing.
The purchasing, that whole finance and purchasing, licensing, it doesn't come under the DevOps team. It's all handled by our finance team.
There is one connector with SharePoint. But the thing is I don't have any technical idea about this, but there is an endpoint, connector endpoint.
I don't have any idea about this because I haven't deep dived much in these connectors.
We are not using any agents of GoAnywhere MFT.
I have to verify about secure forms, but we are sharing the file in encrypted format. Maybe this one is a secure form, then we are using it.
I'm not sure about that, so I'll say we are not using it.
There is a standard data transfer.
The recommendation is simple, if you are using the product for the large scale of users, then it's good. But if you are using it for a low number of users, 10 to 15, it's an overkill. And if you have some compliance, compliance policy that you require the encrypted files and auditing purpose, then SFTP is a good option. I would rate it a 10 overall.

As I said, mainly for secure automated file transfer between our internal systems and the databases such as MySQL and the external business partners. We use GoAnywhere MFT for secure protocols such as Secure File Transfer Protocol, File Transfer Protocol, and HTTPS. I have used it for securely transferring the files.
As a core data engineer, I used to transfer the files over the databases with GoAnywhere MFT. I haven't used any other tools to transfer the files. This is the first software I'm using to transfer files as a tool, so I don't know very much about other tools.
I appreciate the features of GoAnywhere MFT such as advanced workflows to automate all the transfer and reduce manual effort. The logs and reporting are very helpful for checking all the compliances. The encryption is quite good. The main feature which is very useful is connectors to connect it with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, GCP.
The automation in GoAnywhere MFT really helps us because it reduced the manual work significantly. We can transfer hundreds of files with zero manual interventions. The audit trails also help during the compliance audits. It has given stakeholders more confidence in the security of file transfer. It also helped developers to securely transfer the files. Overall, the impact was very good and positive in our business and personal improvements.
Overall GoAnywhere MFT is good, but I would love to see more AI-driven analytics for monitoring. In our company, the data analyst used to monitor it for transfer patterns and they require some more modern UI and smoother upgrades with less downtime. This feature could be improved to make it better.
The transferring with GoAnywhere MFT is not visible during maintenance. We have to monitor it manually, so there is a need for a dedicated team to manually monitor it. It needs some maintenance.
I am a data engineer professionally and I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for around six months, as I have started a new job in Cognifize. I use it mainly for secure automated file transfer. I am still learning it because it's a little bit complex at the start.
At the start, the process of deploying GoAnywhere MFT and the learning curve was very difficult. Currently, it feels quite easy. The deployment is quite easy for me now, but at the start, there were difficulties to deploy it.
Both stability and scalability of GoAnywhere MFT are strong points as it's a very scalable file transfer tool. Stability is good. We started with a few jobs and scaled it to 100 without any issue. Stability is excellent, downtime is rare, and even large files can be transferred completely without any problem.
Both stability and scalability of GoAnywhere MFT are strong points as it's a very scalable file transfer tool. We started with a few jobs and scaled it to 100 without any issue. Stability is excellent, downtime is rare, and even large files can be transferred completely without any problem.
The technical support for GoAnywhere MFT is very responsive. We have raised many tickets, and the support engineers had deep product knowledge and they are very helpful. I would rate them an 8 out of 10.
I haven't started working on agents in GoAnywhere MFT.
Sometimes we use GoFast in GoAnywhere MFT because there are many failures or server issues. We use GoFast because the protocol sometimes doesn't work properly.
There are 30 to 35 members in my overall data engineering team who use GoAnywhere MFT.
GoAnywhere MFT saves a lot of time because it automates approximately 20% to 30% of manual work. In terms of money, it really saves 30% to 40%. We can make it 30% to 40% time saved with GoAnywhere MFT.
I think the price of GoAnywhere MFT is moderate because it's not much on the higher side and not also on the lower side. It's quite good, but it's a choice of my company's.
As of now, I have used only Salesforce as a CRM with GoAnywhere MFT and some databases such as MySQL. I haven't started any ERP yet, but I am working on CRM such as the Salesforce platform.
When I was working as a full-stack developer at the start, I used Secure Forms once with GoAnywhere MFT, but not currently because I totally changed my career to data engineering.
I really want to recommend GoAnywhere MFT to others because it's really good for transferring files securely. There are many other tools available in the market, but this is affordable. We can afford it for small organizations. I have rated this solution 9 out of 10.

I use GoAnywhere MFT for file management, as well as for converting file extensions from one type to another.
GoAnywhere agents have helped me extend MFT automations to remote systems; for example, using schedulers, I can schedule jobs weekly, monthly, or hourly, and even halt jobs on specific holidays with cron jobs.
GoAnywhere MFT has saved us approximately 30% of the time in securely connecting with third parties, as it previously took about 50 minutes to transfer files manually, but now it takes about 35 minutes.
The best features of GoAnywhere MFT include a very seamless approach to transfer files from one location to another, providing authentication, and authorization using PGP, along with many protocols such as HTTPS, SFTP, and FTP for secure file transfers.
I use the GoFast feature to accelerate data transmission. GoFast has generally affected my operations by helping in encryption and compression, allowing data packets to be encrypted using AES 128 or 256, and supporting optional ZLIB compression to reduce bandwidth usage while facilitating workflow integration and automation for projects and data transfers using UDP instead of just TCP, which is significant for fast delivery.
The solution is quite effective, primarily because most of the comments and commands we utilize are based on Linux commands. Additionally, there is the shell script part. We have the ability to drag and drop various elements, which generates an HTML output for us.
In GoAnywhere MFT, there are areas with room for improvement. Some areas of improvement include simpler deployment in certain environments and better documentation. It's important to note that it is proprietary software with limited community documentation.
There are some security vulnerabilities to address, such as patch delays. Additionally, there is an issue with the installation of certificates. This process is proprietary, which means that installing the certificates takes a significant amount of time, including for error logging and troubleshooting. Some reviews indicate that file transfers may fail, and the error logs or diagnostics provided are insufficient. To mitigate this, we employ a redundancy strategy using duplicate use cases. For instance, when transferring files from one location to another, we utilize both a temporary location and an archive location. This redundancy can slow down the process. The reason for this approach is that sometimes, during the transfer of multiple files, some files may get lost. Therefore, we copy files from the temporary location to the archive before completing the transfer. This means that if we attempt to transfer, say, a hundred files and only twenty are successfully transferred, we have no clear way of identifying which twenty have moved successfully since the log feature does not provide this information clearly. These are areas where GoAnywhere MFT can be improved.
I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for four years, which is a managed file transfer protocol.
I would rate the stability of GoAnywhere MFT at eight out of ten, as it is a good stable product.
GoAnywhere MFT is scalable, as I have transferred large volumes of files, ranging from a few to millions in various environments.
Initially, we bought it for development purposes, and then we used it across different environments. Mainly, the users consist of myself and another developer, so there are around 10 to 15 users in total.
I would rate the technical support that GoAnywhere provides as a seven out of ten because being proprietary software means there is limited community support online, forcing reliance on the GoAnywhere community page for problem-solving.
Neutral
I have deployed it as a standalone application, not primarily in the cloud. It was used with Java, and we had to make some changes using Fuse for deployment. So, we are not using a cloud solution; instead, it is deployed as a standalone application.
Maintenance is required. I'm not entirely sure about the details, as there is another team responsible for maintaining it.
The licensing is complex, and there are various modules and add-on features available. It really depends on what you want in terms of features and specific functionalities. The model is subscription-based, so it varies according to the type of subscription you choose.
It is cost-efficient. One of the most important aspects is that it's not solely based on TCP; it also focuses on UDP. The advantage of UDP is that it allows for faster file transfers, but consistency is not as critical in this case. However, most of the time, users prioritize consistency, which is a key consideration.
It was a direct purchase.
I haven't encountered any use cases where there were problems with GoAnywhere MFT, so I am content with the services provided.
I would recommend GoAnywhere MFT to other users if they have the budget, as it is a proprietary solution; it's essential if secured file transfer is required.
Overall, I would rate GoAnywhere MFT an eight out of ten for its ease of understanding and functionality.

We are using GoAnywhere MFT for many resources such as SFTP and FTP. We can create projects, schedule triggers, monitor, and view log levels for file size verification. I work on the server level, agent, service manager, and memory-related issues. I use connectors for services such as Salesforce and SharePoint.
In the Resource component, there is a Cloud Connector option where you can search for Salesforce or other connectors. For Salesforce, we need to configure items such as username, password, auth URL, and authentication type. The Salesforce developer team provides all the details for configuration in the Salesforce connectors. These external systems are integrated using connectors from external to internal systems.
I use GoAnywhere MFT Agents as coordinator and participant types. When one is shut down, we can work on another. The security policy includes Auth URL, auth security policy, and basic authentication in GoAnywhere MFT. It's web-based for external and internal users, providing user-friendly interfaces with SFTP and FTPS for security. For sensitive data, we can use secure forms or encrypt the data. We use TLS, SSL commands, Transport Layer Security, and Secure Socket Layer.
In my organization, approximately four members work with GoAnywhere MFT. On the business side, there are five to seven members who check code level or logs level, totaling nine people, including clients and organization members.
In my business case, it has saved about 30% in resources.
The best features of GoAnywhere MFT are its automated process capabilities. It is scalable, reliable, and requires minimal time to receive files from external to internal systems. It is more secure compared to other tools.
The solution provides excellent connectivity through its range of connectors. In the Resource component, there is a Cloud Connector option where users can search for various connectors like Salesforce. The configuration process requires setting up a username, password, auth URL, and authentication type. The Salesforce developer team provides all necessary details for configuring the Salesforce connectors, enabling integration between external and internal systems.
In GoAnywhere MFT, there are memory-related issues that need improvement. Sometimes it shows varying memory usage from 500 GB to 2 GB, and these issues can persist for multiple days.
The areas that could be improved include security-related automation, as files sometimes do not reach their destination on time. There is a need for upgrading older products and protocols. The security area needs enhancement, particularly in protocols such as FTPS and SSH key implementation. With numerous multi-factor authentication users and partners, security improvements are essential.
While the interfaces are satisfactory, automation needs improvement. Sometimes the configuration for automatic file transfer to target locations fails, so improvements are needed in both automation and security policy areas.
I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for the last 3.5 years.
In terms of stability, I rate it at 8.5.
For scalability, which refers to the capacity for my team and files, I find it to be scalable.
I consider it to be a 9 out of ten in terms of scalability.
I rate the technical support for GoAnywhere MFT at 8.5 out of 10. The lower score is because I don't have access at the server level. If the MFT team provided all access, we could work single-handedly. Due to organizational policy, we don't have server-level access. Another team member manages server-related issues. We can share related issues and provide details. Sometimes we get help from the vendor, Fortra. We can raise cases with Fortra, who then suggests solutions to resolve issues.
Positive
When deploying GoAnywhere MFT in your system, configuration is required at the server level. The process begins with downloading the file from the Fortra portal. Fortra provides comprehensive documentation on installation and command usage. After downloading, server-level configuration is performed using Linux or another operating system.
For project deployment, creation begins in the development environment. The developer team provides XML or zip folders, which are then extracted and moved to the test environment. Testing ensures files reach their target location. After successful testing, the project moves to production. Postman is used for testing functionality in production. Server-level checking includes agent and resource verification, protocol testing, and logs level checking.
The return on investment depends on financial and resource type factors.
The pricing for GoAnywhere MFT is inexpensive compared to other solutions.
Compared to products such as Axway and IBM Sterling tools, GoAnywhere MFT is more scalable, reliable, and cost-effective while maintaining security. If issues arise with GoAnywhere MFT, users can contact the Fortra team for support. Axway lacks vendor support, is less reliable, and more expensive. IBM Sterling, which many organizations use, offers similar features to GoAnywhere MFT, and both have dedicated support teams through their respective vendors.
I recommend GoAnywhere MFT to other users. Currently, 80% of the market uses GoAnywhere MFT because it is secure, scalable, reliable, and easy to implement or deploy. Users can get help from team members or reach out to vendors for support and collaboration.
The overall solution rating I would give it is a 9 out of 10.

GoAnywhere MFT is the best because it makes file transfers easy and keeps everything secure. The GoFast feature increases the speed and offers security when sharing files due to being a built-in feature, alongside excellent automations compared to competitors.
GoAnywhere MFT includes many good features, but the most amazing part is how it automates file transfer across different platforms, its ability to create workflows, making complex tasks very simple without using manual scripts.
It has a smooth connection with the connectors for Salesforce, SharePoint, and Microsoft. It covers both the cloud connector and resource-based connector.
I use Secure Forms. For Secure Forms, when I want to receive a confidential document from the customer, it gives me peace of mind because it lets me have a customized web form, allowing me to enter data and upload files very easily, knowing that I do not have to worry about the document getting leaked or attacked by external attackers.
I use the GoFast feature to accelerate data transmission. I am very highly satisfied with the GoFast feature because it speeds up the process of transferring large files, making it fast and more reliable.
From my experience, the platform is quite complete. It works well across different devices, including on the web, so you don't need to download the app. I don’t have any major issues to report about this software. Initially, the user interface was a bit complex, but after two weeks of training, I fully understood it. I became familiar with the system, and using the platform became more efficient and effective. Overall, I don’t have many complaints about the software.
I would rate the stability as 10 out of 10.
We work both on-site and remotely in multiple locations and departments.
In our department, there are approximately 15 employees. All of us use GoAnywhere, as we frequently share sensitive files. Therefore, it’s essential for all 15 of us to utilize this platform.
I would rate technical support a nine out of ten because they are the best.
Positive
I have not tried any other competitors as this is my first time using this kind of software in that category.
We have the solution deployed on-premises. The solution was acquired by the company directly as part of the project.
Its deployment was easy. It has a very low maintenance cost.
I have seen a lot of return on investment because the built-in automations make the workflow fast and reduce our time significantly, allowing us to focus on other administrative roles rather than routine tasks. I estimate that it has saved us about 85% of our time.
I would highly recommend GoAnywhere MFT to other users because it is excellent, reliable, and offers great performance as a secure file transfer platform with powerful automations.
I would rate this solution 10 out of 10.
We had legacy integration tools like TIBCO. We needed a quick, cloud-based integration solution that could easily handle file transfers, manage heavy workloads, and provide a user-friendly interface. Additionally, if any file transformations are required, those should be simple to execute. GoAnywhere MFT meets all these needs, which is why we decided to use it.
We previously used a legacy integration tool, which had limitations on the systems it could connect to. For instance, I need to upload files to SharePoint, and GoAnywhere MFT has a default SharePoint Online connector, which makes my life easier. It includes various built-in connectors like Blob Storage, SFTP, SMB, and a Cloud Connector, along with a separate Data Lake Connector. You simply select the connector you need, fill out the necessary details, and you're ready to go. This has allowed me to focus more on file transformation rather than just connectivity with different systems. Additionally, I’ve observed that GoAnywhere MFT effectively manages heavy loads and large file sizes, which improves efficiency and meets client expectations for the file transfer tool. It enhances visibility and provides improvements in many areas, from the in-built connectors to managing the load of larger files. Overall, I can confidently say that it is a significant improvement over legacy tools.
We aim to achieve automation wherever possible. For example, we have a large number of applications. During an outage, we need to shut them down, which was previously done manually. Now, using a Secure Form, we can create a script that includes the necessary commands, and we can simply execute it. This process saves us time and reduces manual effort. Secure Form allows us to build automated scripts that manage this process, eliminating the need for manual intervention and saving both time and effort.
The best aspect is how user-friendly it is. When you log into the platform, everything is right in front of you. If you want to see transfers or schedules, it's easily accessible. You can also view logs and performance characteristics, as well as details about expiring certificates and keys and what actions you need to take. Everything is straightforward and user-friendly.
One of the unique characteristics of GoAnywhere MFT is that it can manage various platforms, which is a significant advantage. This is where its reliability shines, as it is compatible with most systems. For example, it works well with SharePoint, SFTP, and REST API calls. Overall, it's very user-friendly and reliable across different platforms in our managed environment.
We extensively use connectors, especially with SharePoint. From my perspective, the connectors in GoAnywhere MFT are quite reliable. One of the most important aspects is their security. The organization I work for places a strong emphasis on data security, as our data is sensitive. These connectors play a crucial role in maintaining secure connections because access isn’t granted without passing a token. After that, you can exchange data smoothly. In addition to SharePoint, we also utilize data lake connectors and Azure Blob connectors. The choice of connector often depends on the type of end system or the system on the other side. Overall, these connectors are dependable and help establish a secure trust between systems while also being user-friendly.
I recently came across an area that needs improvement. For instance, there's a lack of flexibility when it comes to transferring files between systems, specifically when one of those systems is SharePoint. SharePoint has some default fields, such as name, modified by, and modified time. Now, imagine a scenario where the SharePoint admin adds a custom field for the file creation date and time. They're looking for this to reflect when the file was created at the source, not when it was uploaded to SharePoint. The requirement is for TMFT (the Transfer Management File Transfer) to extract that creation time from the source and input it into the custom field in SharePoint. However, the limitation with GoAnywhere MFT is that it primarily offers an upload option to SharePoint without allowing flexibility in terms of selecting and mapping SharePoint fields. This lack of adaptability can be problematic. There are default connectors and datasets in GoAnywhere MFT that can be modified to some extent for specific needs. Yet, when unique requirements arise, users often have to find workarounds or navigate through different processes to achieve their goals. If GoAnywhere MFT could enhance its flexibility in selecting data and transferring files, it would significantly improve the overall user experience.
Obviously, there are no solutions in IT that are completely free of bugs. However, in terms of stability, GoAnywhere MFT is quite reliable. I would rate it a nine for stability.
It's scalable. However, within our organization, we have some architectural restrictions that prevent us from utilizing API calls. Therefore, while it is scalable, there are certain limitations. For example, some connectors like SAP are not available, so I would rate scalability at seven.
Currently, there are over 150 to 180 users utilizing the GoAnywhere solution in our organization.
I would rate them a ten out of ten. The vendor support is one of the best ones I've ever worked with. They are always available, even if I need to call them in the middle of the night. They not only help you resolve issues but also ensure that you feel comfortable managing them in the future. Their support team is friendly and accommodating, making vendor support one of the best features of GoAnywhere MFT.
Positive
I have worked with on-premises TIBCO MFT. The GoAnywhere MFT platform is an outstanding MFT solution. If I were to rate the effectiveness of various MFT systems, I would place TIBCO MFT at about 50%, while GoAnywhere MFT easily stands at 90%. This is because other MFT tools, like TIBCO MFT, can be quite complex. They typically require multiple components, such as an internet server platform, a server command center, and various infrastructure platforms, to ensure that file transfers occur smoothly. In contrast, GoAnywhere MFT consolidates everything into one platform, making the process much simpler.
Additionally, when comparing GoAnywhere MFT to other tools, one of its significant advantages is reliability. The way GoAnywhere MFT handles issue investigation is much more efficient. It features an extensive logging system that allows users to easily review logs and identify what went wrong and how to fix it. On the other hand, with other MFT systems, like TIBCO MFT, we often had to struggle to pinpoint the exact problems. In this regard, GoAnywhere MFT surpasses other MFT platforms that I have experience with.
One more thing to consider when comparing GoAnywhere MFT to other tools is its reliability and the approach it takes to investigate issues. GoAnywhere MFT has a much more extensive logging system, making it easier to navigate the logs and determine what went wrong or how to fix a problem. In contrast, with other MFTs, like TIBCO MFT, we often struggled to pinpoint the exact issue. In this regard, GoAnywhere MFT outperforms other MFT platforms that I have worked with.
It’s on the cloud. It’s on Azure Linux servers.
I was not the primary point of contact during the initial deployment, but I worked with the team that handled it. It was quite complicated because when you set up the GoAnywhere MFT for the first time, there are many components to configure. You need to set up storage separately, manage the database, configure the GoAnywhere MFT nodes, and set up the gateway nodes. Additionally, you have to create user groups and ensure that access is limited to the right individuals. Overall, the initial setup was lengthy and a bit complicated. It took months. If I remember correctly, it was around two to two and a half months.
It does require maintenance. There are different types of maintenance we need to consider. First, there are the Linux servers on which it's installed, specifically the Azure Linux servers. The Azure Linux team provides guidelines that require us to perform certain installations and upgrades on those servers. For instance, if we are using Tomcat with GoAnywhere MFT, it's installed on that server as well. If the server team plans to upgrade Tomcat, we must check with the GoAnywhere MFT product team to ensure that the new GoAnywhere MFT version will be compatible with Tomcat. If it is compatible, we need to ensure the maintenance and upgrade process goes smoothly without impacting GoAnywhere MFT. If it’s not compatible, we’ll need to find ways to make the GoAnywhere MFT version compatible.
Also, the GoAnywhere MFT team releases a new version every six months, so we must make thorough preparations and develop a plan for the upgrade. Additionally, from a performance standpoint, if volume utilization increases, we need to assess whether to remove some items or increase the storage size. Just a couple of weeks ago, I had to increase the storage from 1TB to 1.5TB because it was impacting performance—the file transfers were becoming slow. Therefore, various maintenance activities need to be performed regularly.
I'm not the best person to discuss this, but from my experience, I can estimate a return on investment (ROI) of about 30% to 40%. This is because you often spend a lot on legacy tools but receive very little value in return. However, when you transition to this platform, you can implement many solutions using existing products and licenses without incurring significant additional costs. As a result, you can implement more solutions that can generate additional revenue. So, I would assume a return on investment of around 30% to 40% percent.
It is cost-efficient.
The purchase of the solution was a direct purchase.
I would strongly recommend it. The way it manages our file transfers, along with the excellent vendor support and automation capabilities, makes it a worthwhile tool for file transfers.
I would rate it a ten out of ten.

We use GoAnywhere MFT for securely transferring files between systems and automating workflows. Our company generates a daily report file, so instead of manually sending it, we use GoAnywhere to automate picking the file from a folder, encrypt it for security, and transfer it securely to another server or partner systems using protocols such as SFTP. We have scheduled it to run daily, so manual effort is not needed.
What we use and what we appreciate most about GoAnywhere MFT is its automation capability through projects. We can create a workflow that handles the entire file transfer process, picking up the file, encrypting it, and sending it securely without any manual effort. Once it is scheduled, everything runs automatically.
Workflows are integrated with our processes; whenever our boss wants to see reports, they run automatically at 5:30 or 6:00 PM, and all the data is stored in SharePoint using this workflow.
GoAnywhere MFT provides plenty of connectors for file transfer protocols such as SFTP and FTS. Additionally, it provides cloud storage connectors such as Amazon S3, which we use for storage as a database. We have also connected it with other databases such as MySQL and email services for sending or receiving files via email and SMTP. Overall, it excels at connecting with servers, making file transfer flexible.
As I mentioned earlier, we use Amazon S3 for cloud storage, where we store all the data, and we utilize daily workflows and operations from SharePoint. GoAnywhere MFT plays a crucial role in our organization every day for our meetings and cron jobs.
We have multiple automations or processes happening within our organization that run on different platforms with different servers and APIs. For instance, we have one project for daily report transfers, another for handling partner file uploads, and another project for backup. Although they are scheduled at different times, they are all event-based. Multiple automations are handled with different projects for different use cases.
The main benefits I have seen from using GoAnywhere MFT are that it removes all manual efforts through automation and reduces manual file transfer because we have scheduled our jobs. Daily reports and files are transferred automatically without human effort. The second benefit is its security, as sensitive files are transferred using secure protocols. Our organization utilizes its tracking and visibility; we can track files using logs, making it easy for us to monitor whether a job succeeds or fails.
Additionally, we appreciate the strong security features, such as support for SFTP and encryption, which makes it reliable for transferring sensitive data. The combination of automation and security is particularly valuable to us.
We definitely use GoAnywhere MFT's secure forms, which allow users or external partners to submit data or uploads through a secure web form. Using HTTPS improves our security since it is encrypted.
In our organization, GoAnywhere MFT's secure forms have improved both our security and efficiency in how we receive files from external users. Earlier, people used emails or shared drives to send files, which had risks such as data exposure or missing files. Using GoAnywhere MFT secure forms, we secure submissions through HTTP-based forms where data is encrypted during transport. This eliminates dependency on email, reduces our risk of attachment leaks or size limits, and provides better tracking since every submission is logged.
We definitely use GoAnywhere MFT's GoFast feature to accelerate data transmission.
Using GoAnywhere MFT's GoFast feature has improved our operations because it breaks files into multiple chunks and transfers them simultaneously instead of sending them in a single stream, allowing for multi-threading. This results in savings on both time and money. It significantly reduces our transfer time compared to normal SFTP, especially when transferring very large files such as backups or bulk data.
I have definitely seen a return on investment with GoAnywhere MFT, as 20 to 30% of costs have been saved by its implementation.
GoAnywhere MFT has definitely saved me time in connecting securely with third parties that we need to collaborate with.
The number one thing I would like to see improved in GoAnywhere MFT is the learning curve. It has a bit of a learning curve initially, especially in understanding how to design workflows. Additionally, I think the user interface can feel slightly complex for beginners, so they should add more documentation about the UI and how to onboard or design workflows.
I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for a total of one year, including my time in college and my previous internship. I have been working in my current organization for the past eight months.
I have not had any crashes, downtimes, or performance issues with GoAnywhere MFT. It is highly stable for us because it supports high availability setups such as clustering and load balancing by default, providing consistent performance and minimal downtime.
I find GoAnywhere MFT scalable.
I would rate GoAnywhere MFT's customer service and technical support team an 8 out of 10 because when we raise a support ticket, they respond within five to six hours and resolve our problems. So far, there are no issues with the support.
I did not previously use a different MFT solution. We were completely reliant on manual efforts before switching to GoAnywhere MFT. Now we are consistent with it because it provides more performance and requires less work, significantly reducing our manual efforts.
My experience with the deployment was straightforward.
The deployment was done in-house. We did not use an integrator, reseller, or consultant.
Comparing per week, GoAnywhere MFT saves us 20 to 30% of manual efforts, which translates to saving 20 to 30% of our time.
Regarding pricing, it is affordable. My business team handles that aspect, so I do not know much about it, but in our meetings, we have discussed that it is quite reasonable for us, which is why we are using it.
If a colleague at another company mentions they find GoAnywhere MFT's feature set appealing but the price high, I would say that if they are looking to automate work or perform daily operations without depending on manual effort, they should definitely switch to GoAnywhere MFT because it saves a significant amount of time and boosts employee productivity.
We have not used GoAnywhere MFT Agents because of the cost yet, but we are planning to use that in the future. My advice to other organizations considering GoAnywhere MFT is that it is a budget-friendly tool, and if they want to shift from manual efforts, then GoAnywhere MFT is the right choice because it supports multiple automations through its concept of projects. This transition will definitely reduce workload and manual efforts, allowing teams to save time and increase productivity. I would be interested in a solution that centralizes all our processes. I would give this review a rating of 9 out of 10.
I use it mainly for transferring files. Our company has different departments and silos, and we want to send files between them securely. For example, the financial department might want to send a file or a document to the HR department. We use GoAnywhere MFT to send those files securely. Initially, we were using emails and had to attach six files or ten files to each email as an attachment. Now we just use GoAnywhere MFT to send files, and we also use it to send files to our contractors. Instead of using emails to attach files, we just use GoAnywhere MFT. A good thing about GoAnywhere MFT is that you can send files securely using secure protocols such as HTTPS, FTPS, and SFTP.
We use Microsoft SharePoint with GoAnywhere MFT. Initially, we were using Microsoft SharePoint as our document sharing software. When we switched to GoAnywhere MFT, some files were still stored in Microsoft SharePoint, and all our data was still in Microsoft SharePoint. That is the main integration we used. We also use Fortra Automate.
It depends on which connector with GoAnywhere MFT we are using. For example, with Jira, we use it mainly for project management and task management. If we are doing a certain project that involves sending files and sharing documents, we use GoAnywhere MFT to help us send those files attached to the project in Jira. With SharePoint, we use it for storing documents and sharing. We integrated it so that everything synchronized automatically. We never had to manually import files from SharePoint to GoAnywhere MFT. When we connected everything, it was synchronized, and data could be transferred automatically from SharePoint to GoAnywhere MFT.
Our technical team uses GoAnywhere Agents to run scripts and commands remotely. We collect files from branch offices, partners, and contractors. Using these agents, they execute workflows and transfer files automatically and securely between all our departments. The agents pull data from all our branches and partners, for example contractors, then send information to all our departments.
We do use GoAnywhere MFT's Secure Forms feature. For example, if I am working in the HR department and I need data from the financial department, I send a form. When the financial department receives this form, they fill it out and send it back to us.
I was not the one who installed this software as I found it existing in the setup process of GoAnywhere MFT.
We have multiple silos and multiple departments with GoAnywhere MFT. For example, we have many platforms and departments such as HR and financial departments. We use multiple workflows at the same time for file transfers and everything else.
GoAnywhere MFT combines everything and all departments into a central system.
GoAnywhere MFT has saved me time in connecting securely with the third parties I need to collaborate with securely. The main benefit I see with GoAnywhere MFT is automation. I can set the rules for workflows and schedule them so that, for example, a file should be sent at 1:00 PM tomorrow. Instead of manually sending those files to departments or contractors, GoAnywhere MFT takes the responsibility to send that file to our contractors or to departments. The main thing about that is that these are automatic workflows. GoAnywhere MFT saves at least 60% of my time per week or per month.
I like GoAnywhere MFT because of encryption mainly. Some software has many failed transfers of files. For example, if you are sending 100 files, you check in the logs and find that maybe five or seven are not sent. With GoAnywhere MFT, when you send those files, you are sure that 100% will be delivered. All your files are encrypted and securely sent. The main benefits I see with GoAnywhere MFT is automation because I can set the rules for workflows and schedule them so that a file should be sent, for example, at 1:00 PM tomorrow. Instead of manually sending those files to departments or contractors, GoAnywhere MFT takes the responsibility to send that file.
I have problems with customer support with GoAnywhere MFT, especially the technical support team, and I also have issues with the interface. Regarding customer support, recently we were executing transfers from SharePoint to GoAnywhere MFT and ran into problems. When we contacted the support team, they told us the issue was with SharePoint and not with GoAnywhere MFT. Everything was well connected. When we put a support ticket on SharePoint, they told us that the issue was with GoAnywhere MFT and specifically their integration. They never sorted our issue, and still now, after a week has passed, there is no connection between our SharePoint and GoAnywhere MFT.
Regarding the interface, I want to see something simpler. If you need something on GoAnywhere MFT, you need to click on many items, click on menus, and click on everything. I want to see something simpler, similar to SharePoint. SharePoint is bulky and complex, but it is a little bit simpler compared to GoAnywhere MFT.
On forms especially with GoAnywhere MFT, I want to see an integration of Jotform or maybe if they can integrate Typeform for us.
We have problems with GoAnywhere MFT regarding the CPU and resource usage. It is very resource intensive. If you are opening it on the cloud, as we use it on public cloud, it normally takes a lot of resources. We find that the browser can freeze sometimes if a computer is old. GoAnywhere MFT is resource intensive.
I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for the last two years.
GoAnywhere MFT is stable. Since we started using it two years ago, we have not received any downtime. It is always on.
GoAnywhere MFT is scalable. When I started working with this company, we were running around two departments. Now we have scaled up to around six departments all connected.
I have problems with customer support with GoAnywhere MFT, especially the technical support team. Recently we were executing transfers from SharePoint to GoAnywhere MFT and ran into problems. When we contacted the support team, they told us the issue was with SharePoint and not with GoAnywhere MFT, though everything was well connected. When we put a support ticket on SharePoint, they told us that the issue was with GoAnywhere MFT and specifically their integration. They never sorted our issue, and still now, after a week has passed, there is no connection between our SharePoint and GoAnywhere MFT.
I used Microsoft SharePoint before adopting GoAnywhere MFT. Microsoft SharePoint does almost everything for MFT purposes before we adopted GoAnywhere MFT.
I never evaluated other platforms because the decision to use GoAnywhere MFT was not mine. I found it being used at my current company when I was recently hired two years ago. Personally, I have used Microsoft SharePoint, and now I am using GoAnywhere MFT.
We have almost 100% full adoption. There are no employees complaining that this software is hard to use or hard to onboard.
I was present during the onboarding process for new departments. The onboarding process is very simple. There is a feature that highlights about the different features available. If you want this, you click here; if you want that, you click there. Everything is there. I was impressed by how our team members adopted GoAnywhere MFT. We have almost 100% full adoption with no employees complaining that this software is hard to use or hard to onboard.
I would recommend organizations to go for GoAnywhere MFT, but I would not recommend it to small businesses. I do not know the exact figure we are paying now, but with GoAnywhere MFT, if you increase instances and multiple departments, these prices normally pile up. If you are a small business on a tight budget, you will not be able to cope with the costs. I would recommend GoAnywhere MFT to mid-size or large businesses that are not on a tight budget and need a system that can do secure file transfers.
Initially the experience was good and fair. However, I am deducting points because of the bad experience we had last week with GoAnywhere MFT. I am giving GoAnywhere MFT a rating of eight out of ten.
I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for around four years. During that time, I work with secure file transfer, workflow automation, partner integration, and monitoring file exchange processes across different systems.
My main use case for GoAnywhere MFT is secure file transfer and automation. We use it to exchange files between internal systems, business partners, and external vendors while ensuring transfers are encrypted, monitored, and centrally managed. It also helps automate recurring file transfer processing and reduces the need for manual interventions.
A common example is transferring daily business files between internal applications and external partners instead of manually moving files and checking transfer status. GoAnywhere MFT automates the process through scheduled workflows. This has helped reduce manual efforts and provide better visibility because we can track transfer success, failures, and notifications from a central dashboard.
In addition to secure file transfer, we also use GoAnywhere MFT for monitoring and audit purposes. Having centralized visibility into file transfer activity helps with troubleshooting and provides better control over critical business data exchange. It fits well with our workflow because the combination of automation, security, and tracking is available in a single platform.
The best features of GoAnywhere MFT are secure file transfer, workflow automation, centralized monitoring, and auditing. I particularly appreciate the automation capability because it reduces manual work while the detailed audit logs and reporting make it easier to track file transfers and support compliance requirements.
The automation capabilities have helped reduce the number of manual file transfer tasks our team had to perform. Instead of monitoring transfers individually, we could schedule workflows and automatically move files, validate transfers, and send notifications if something failed. This improved consistency and allowed the team to focus more on exception handling and process improvement rather than routine file moving activities.
Another feature worth mentioning is the centralized dashboard and reporting. It gives us a clear view of transfer activity, job status, and failures from a single location. I also appreciate the alerting capability which helps us stay informed of any issues.
One area where GoAnywhere MFT could be improved is troubleshooting and reporting. When a transfer workflow fails, having a more detailed and easier to navigate diagnostic tool would help reduce investigation time. I would also like to see a more modern dashboard and enhanced visibility into workflow performance, especially in environments with a large number of automated file transfer jobs.
Another area for improvement would be the user interface. While the platform is powerful, some administrative tasks could be more intuitive and require fewer steps to navigate. I would also like to see additional out-of-the-box integration and simplified workflow configuration options, which could help teams deploy and manage file transfer processes more quickly.
I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for around four years.
GoAnywhere MFT is definitely stable. In my experience, GoAnywhere MFT has been a stable platform. We use it for business-critical file transfers and automatic workflows, and it has performed reliably in day-to-day operations. Most issues we encountered were related to connectivity or workflow configuration rather than the stability of the product itself.
From a scalability perspective, GoAnywhere MFT is an excellent product. From my experience, GoAnywhere MFT scales well. While transfer volume and integration requirements grow, we were able to add new workflows, business partners, and transfer processes without major changes to the overall platform. The centralized management and automation features helped a lot to keep operations manageable as usage increased.
Customer support is very good. My experience with customer support has been positive overall. The support team was generally responsive and helpful when dealing with configuration questions, workflow issues, and troubleshooting requests. For more complex scenarios, resolution can sometimes require additional investigation. However, the support resources and technical guidance were usually effective.
Before GoAnywhere MFT, we relied on a combination of traditional FTP, SFTP processes, and manual file transfer procedures. We switched because we needed better automation, centralized monitoring, and strong security controls. As the number of file transfers increased, managing everything manually became less efficient and harder to track.
GoAnywhere MFT is a commercial solution, so the investment needs to be justified by the volume of file transfer, automation requirements, and security needs. From a setup perspective, the installation was fairly straightforward. Most of the efforts went into configuring workflows, partner connections, and security policies rather than the initial deployment itself.
We have seen a positive return on investment. The biggest benefit was time saving through the automation of routine file transfer processes. Before implementation, some transfers required manual monitoring and intervention. With the automated workflows and centralized management, the team spent less time on repetitive tasks and more time on higher value activities. We also experienced fewer transfer-related errors and improved operational efficiency.

I would rate this product eight out of ten.

My main use case for GoAnywhere MFT is secure and automated file transfer, such as sending reports, backups, or business data between servers or third parties.
A recent example of how I use GoAnywhere MFT for secure and automated file transfer is that daily reports are automatically transferred from our internal server to an external partner using secure protocols like SFTP without manual intervention.
There are no other types of files or partners involved in my current implementation.
The best features GoAnywhere MFT offers are strong security that includes encryption and secure protocols, automation of file transfers, scheduling jobs and workflows, and centralized management of file transfers.
The automation and centralized management features in GoAnywhere MFT make my daily work much easier by reducing manual effort and giving full control from one place. For a real example, earlier we had to manually transfer files such as reports or backups, but now we have automated these tasks. Files are transferred automatically at scheduled times without any manual intervention.
GoAnywhere MFT has made a positive impact in my organization mainly by improving efficiency and security in file transfer. We have reduced manual work significantly since most file transfers are now automated. Errors have decreased because there is less human involvement, and file transfers are more secure now with encryption and proper protocols. After implementing GoAnywhere MFT, we saw clear improvements in efficiency and reliability. The time saved is around a 60 to 70 percent reduction in manual file transfer.
While GoAnywhere MFT is very reliable, there are a few areas where it could be improved. The user interface could be more intuitive, especially for new users. The initial setup and configuration can be somewhat complex, and more customization options in reporting would be helpful. Additionally, better integration with modern DevOps tools and APIs would improve automation further. Making the UI more intuitive and beginner-friendly would reduce the learning curve, and performance tuning in high-volume environments would improve efficiency. More customizable real-time alerts and notifications would also make monitoring easier.
The user interface of GoAnywhere MFT is quite clean and easy to navigate once you have used it, though there is a bit of a learning curve initially.
I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for around six months.
GoAnywhere MFT is generally stable, though there are some caveats.
GoAnywhere MFT is highly scalable and designed for enterprise environments. It can easily handle growing file transfer volumes, multiple systems, and large workloads without major issues.
Customer support for GoAnywhere MFT is generally good and reliable. The support team is knowledgeable and understands the product very well. They are responsive and helpful in resolving issues.
Before GoAnywhere MFT, we were mainly using manual file transfers and some basic tools such as FTP or SFTP clients. Manual transfers were time-consuming and required constant monitoring. There was a higher chance of errors or missed transfers, and security and compliance were limited with basic tools. We switched to GoAnywhere MFT for automation, better security, and centralized management of file transfers.
We have definitely seen a return on investment after using GoAnywhere MFT, mainly through time savings and improved efficiency. There is around a 60 to 70 percent reduction in manual file transfer tasks due to automation, and errors have been reduced by about 50 percent or more. For example, daily file transfers that earlier required manual effort are now fully automated, saving several hours of work each day.
My experience with pricing and licensing for GoAnywhere MFT is that it is moderately priced and more suited for mid to large organizations. It is not the cheapest solution, but it offers good value considering the features such as automation and security.
Before selecting GoAnywhere MFT, we evaluated a few other managed file transfer solutions, including IBM Sterling Secure File Transfer, Axway Managed File Transfer, and Progress MOVEit.
GoAnywhere MFT is generally stable, though there are some caveats.
My advice for anyone considering GoAnywhere MFT is to first clearly understand your file transfer requirements, such as volume, sensitivity of data, and level of automation needed. Plan your workflows properly before implementation and focus on automation from the start.
My experience with GoAnywhere MFT has been very positive. It is a reliable and secure solution for managing file transfers and automation. While there is some learning curve and room for improvement in UI and setup, the core features, especially automation, security, and centralized management, are very strong. Apart from the things that I have mentioned, there are no other improvements needed for GoAnywhere MFT. I would rate this product an 8 out of 10.
