Data transfer improvements with an easy setup and responsive support
There are other products of Aspera which come as add-ons, however, we haven't purchased those, like report generation, since that was not our requirement. The features we needed were included in the basic edition, and that works for us. If there is any failure in the data transfer and it can automatically detect and reinitiate it, that would be great.

Has enabled secure, centralized file sharing while saving significant time and resources
The best features in GoAnywhere MFT are that it's fast, reliable, and secure. First, the improvement is that we have resolved one of our security points with compliance. So that compliance point we resolved. And also it's a centralized file sharing system. All the users are able to access the file. There is no one-to-one sharing. It's improved about 80 to 85%. It saves about 80 to 90% resources. In terms of time, we can say 90 to 95% time is also saved because it avoids the one-to-one sharing and simply a user can put one centralized directory and all the users are able to access this solution and access the file. So it's 95%.

Pros

"Aspera Managed File Transfer is an optimal solution for customers who want to transfer large files to remote sites with lower bandwidth and in less time."
"The main feature of Aspera Managed File Transfer is that it's an incredibly fast protocol, you can use all the bandwidth available. If I need to send large amounts of data this is the fastest protocol on the market. I have been using it for some minor projects and it is very powerful."
"Good user interface and ability to set up multiple file transfer jobs."
"I would say that the user interface was a good feature, and the ability to set up multiple file transfer jobs was also an asset."
"We were able to effectively nullify the China firewall since the China firewall was disrupting our data transfer."
"We were able to effectively nullify the China firewall since the China firewall was disrupting our data transfer."
"GoAnywhere MFT has saved me time in connecting securely with third parties that I need to collaborate with."
"Before, we had to write scripts and manually update them to move data around, encrypt files, or rename files. Now we just use the GUI to set the modules for transfers, encryption, renaming, and copying, allowing us to set it and schedule it to run without any user interaction."
"GoAnywhere MFT meets all these needs, which is why we decided to use it."
"The best features in GoAnywhere MFT are that it's fast, reliable, and secure; it saves about 80 to 90% resources and 90 to 95% time because it avoids the one-to-one sharing and enables users to access files through a centralized directory."
"GoAnywhere MFT has many features that I appreciate, but most of all, it automates repetitive file transfers, so we don't have to waste our time doing them manually."
"GoDrive eliminates the need to use the exchange server for file sharing."
"The feature I find most valuable about GoAnywhere MFT is that it's intuitive—it has all the things needed to build robust projects, giving you different resources, SFTP, and all the different things you might need to manipulate files."
"The most valuable features are the automatic processing of files and scheduled execution of the files."

Cons

"Deployment is complex and it was difficult to get support."
"If you want to do a file transfer between two countries, and one is not China, then you have other more affordable options."
"Deployment of the product is somewhat complex and it was also difficult to get support, very difficult to get support."
"Aspera Managed File Transfer should be packaged into another solution. Explaining to customers you need to have multiple solutions from multiple vendors for their use cases can get complicated for them to understand."
"The solution's pricing is high and should be reduced."
"If there is any failure in the data transfer and it can automatically detect and reinitiate it, that would be great."
"Security measures still have a long way to go, but since GoAnywhere MFT focuses on IT automation, this enables the company to provide IT staff with more productivity on other aspects of their jobs."
"GoAnywhere MFT can be synchronized with artificial intelligence so that it can briefly explain what kind of document it is."
"For training, there should be some sites or resources on YouTube or Udemy. They do not have that currently."
"On the platform side, I would like to see some improvements in the dashboarding and telemetry data."
"There's not a lot of improvement I can think of. Maybe in the tools section, they have an SQL Wizard and a URL Wizard, which are really good. I think that the SQL Wizard might need some improvement. I don't know how to improve it, but it's just a little slow here and there."
"Upgrading was a challenge and I ran into some problems along the way."
"Sometimes file sharing gets failed. Many of the users in the last week faced the issue that the files are not delivered."
"While there is not a lot for improvement, the UI interface could use a modern touch to avoid its outdated appearance for faster navigation in the console."
