Has enabled secure, centralized file sharing while saving significant time and resources
The best features in GoAnywhere MFT are that it's fast, reliable, and secure. First, the improvement is that we have resolved one of our security points with compliance. So that compliance point we resolved. And also it's a centralized file sharing system. All the users are able to access the file. There is no one-to-one sharing. It's improved about 80 to 85%. It saves about 80 to 90% resources. In terms of time, we can say 90 to 95% time is also saved because it avoids the one-to-one sharing and simply a user can put one centralized directory and all the users are able to access this solution and access the file. So it's 95%.

Good automation, no complex coding, and high-level data encryption
When it comes to performance and scalability, JSCAPE is a highly reliable software, however, I would suggest a few improvements: 1. The documentation needs a revamp for a better understanding of the features of the tool. 2. Customer service can be offered on call or chat. 3. The initial setup is time-consuming; it could use a video tutorial. 4. UI can be improved in terms of look and feel. 5. Documentation should be provided for a majority of newly released features as these can be difficult for a layman to use without proper instructions.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"GoAnywhere MFT has saved us approximately 30% of the time in securely connecting with third parties, as it previously took about 50 minutes to transfer files manually, but now it takes about 35 minutes."
"By centralizing everything in GoAnywhere, we're able to eliminate 100 or so custom programs and scripts, and if I had to quantify it, I would estimate that it cuts our workload by about 80 hours a week."
"GoAnywhere MFT positively impacts my organization by improving the security and reliability of my file transfer process, reducing manual effort, improving monitoring, and helping automate routing transfer activities across teams."
"We also use the Secure Folders module and the Web Client a lot. For example, we set up external vendors to come in and review files or folders in a Secure Folder. That way they can go in and review whatever information or data they need to do."
"The most valuable feature is the Advanced Workflows."
"If it's dealing with SFTP or any kind of secure transfer, we don't hear about it; it's good and everything works."
"GoAnywhere MFT's connectors are very important to my daily operations because the flexibility to connect to different third-party applications makes GoAnywhere MFT shine compared to other MFT solutions."
"I like the versatility GoAnywhere provides, allowing transfers through HTTPS and different protocols. It can also transfer through a server and a client."
"Triggers are also something that is useful as they automate the use of boilerplate code."
"One of the standout features of this particular tool is its automation capabilities."
"It offers audit trails and reporting tools, allowing users to track file transfers, monitor user activities, and produce regulatory compliance reports."
"JSCAPE provides high-level data encryption, which can help us share confidential and time-sensitive data across our global partners without any hassle."
"It is a reliable and easy-to-operate platform for secure file transfers."
"The tool can transfer files of any size and type without any issue."
"We can send the data quickly and securely."
"The automation part of JSCAPE by Redwood is great because you can set up a scheduled delivery with files and be notified if the transfer was successful."

Cons

"For us, it is perfect. It is a good solution that we are using, and we are going to continue to do so. However, it should be advertised more as a solution. I did not see it out there beforehand."
"The reporting could be more customizable."
"Scalability is around 7.5 for GoAnywhere MFT because there are restrictions based on file sizes for transfers, necessitating chunking to move complete files, which limits its effectiveness in data migration."
"The UI/UX of GoAnywhere MFT feels somewhat cluttered. Some of the options I need are in a very cluttered space, and I need to search for them frequently."
"I tried to copy a file from an S3 bucket to another storage class. I don't know if it is a limitation from AWS, not the MFT. If I copy a file from the AWS S3 bucket to that storage class, it can't be transferred. It says that I can't remember the exact error, but it cannot be processed. I want MFT to be more compatible with cloud-based applications or services like AWS."
"One area where GoAnywhere MFT could be improved is troubleshooting and reporting."
"The customer support is a bit slow from their end. The time lag they take to respond to our queries is more than expected, so I would give a solid seven out of ten for the customer support."
"Maintenance does require some effort on my end."
"The initial setup is time-consuming; it could use a video tutorial."
"Database crashing was seen whenever there was an overload."
"The FTP/S and ad-hoc techniques can further be automated."
"The user interface is something that has to be worked on."
"Providing initial guidance would help new users to understand the UI."
"Support for more complicated workflows, such as conditional logic or branching, could be added to allow users to create more advanced automation processes."
"The price is too high and the product line is too complex."
"The cost of the tool is relatively high and can pose a problem to medium and small-scale companies who are trying to overcome their on-premise server limitations."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It has flexible and affordable pricing because of custom quotes. The prices depend on the modules one needs and the volume of data being transferred. Overall, they offer custom and flexible pricing with an annual subscription, where you pay for specific features and functionality required."
"The pricing is decent for mid-sized and small-sized companies. It is good for startups or mid-scale companies."
"Fortra's GoAnywhere MFT carries a higher price tag than other MFT solutions."
"I find it to be very fair. It is very good."
"The product's pricing is reasonable."
"The pricing is not favorable when we use it for a few people."
"The cost is fine. It is probably the best software that I've had for the money that we spend for it. I am not aware of any costs in addition to the standard licensing fees. I don't pay for it. IT pays for it."
"GoAnywhere was the most attractively priced product that met our needs. In our PoC it really came down to MOVEit and GoAnywhere, and GoAnywhere's pricing was about 30 percent less."
"The software is expensive compared to other vendors."
