Automation has transformed banking workflows and drives custom process optimization
Based on my six years of experience, I see that Studio Creatio is continuously improving its workflows, materials, and capabilities. I still see potential improvements in certain areas. For example, some capabilities that the system does not have need to be identified so that customers are aware of what is not possible. The system should be designed to allow customers to connect with any system seamlessly rather than just through marketplace applications. It should have the capability to connect with any other system without limitation, as in some projects, while it was able to connect with 100 other systems, there were one, two, or a few that were not compatible. Regarding needed improvements, with respect to use cases and documentation, more comprehensive use cases and in-depth scenarios covering real business situations and solutions are definitely needed. Mobile users are quite frustrated, so the system needs more modern features, modern user interfaces, and an independent development module for the mobile app. The current mobile app is outdated, and I cannot customize it accordingly. Something new in this area is necessary.

Little coding needed and speeds development time but lacks documentation
The maintenance aspect is too heavy. Moving from one version to the other made the solution change, and not in a way that we liked. Typically there are documents about the release of new versions and a set of activities required to migrate from one to the other. This time, it was very messy. There were issues surrounding the management of the release. This could potentially be due to the fact that WebRation, in the past, had started to make some choices regarding the framework and architecture that were changed later. In the past, we'd use a strategy as the environment, as an architectural pattern for the application. Now, it's moving more on the spring framework and this initiated some change that obviously had an impact on our application. It's caused a problem with maintenance. The solution seems to have changed its approach. Now, it's more related to a federative application environment in a monolithic aspect. While the solution was interesting at one point, everything is moving towards the cloud. WebRatio should be moving also in the web approach. Currently, you have to install an environment inside the desktop. The future is the cloud. Normally with a low code environment, there is a VPN notation - maybe a WebML or FML notation. If they can move in to have an environment that has a running machine at the end, it would be great. Obviously, some components on the server-side should be deliberate. Normally it's the model you control that's step-by-step and has a very simple flow. In the digital environment, in the organization, the process is more complex. The quality of the documentation and the community surrounding the product are poor. They need to give users more documentation and build up the surrounding community. As it isn't a well-known product, it's hard to find professionals to work with it.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The business process management is definitely the most valuable feature. What Creatio ended up doing with their software solution is giving you the power, in your own hands, in a way that is incredibly intuitive and well-structured."
"I have definitely seen a return on investment with time savings and money savings, as there is a price per license, but this money is coming back to us, making it a worthwhile investment."
"For example, in the banking sector, I optimized a system that was processing 50 applications per day to be 100% automated, with only delivery requiring human intervention, ultimately achieving processing 500 to 600 cards per day, up from 50 to 60 applications, fully automated with minimal human intervention except when delivery was needed."
"This product enables users to structure its business and completely automate, as it is a very easy to use low code platform and helps fast usage of multiple process elements such as user pages, tasks, predefined emails, and decision tasks."
"The most valuable features are performance, built-in variety of multiple task automation, and has international standards notations."
"We were able to build the entire process from scratch in approximately six months until production, and we have been using Studio Creatio for loan origination since that time."
"Whenever you need a new feature, you can build on top of your session."
"Studio Creatio has positively impacted my organization mostly by speeding up the process at which clients can open an account, and we tried to shorten the time on an automatic flow to make it easier and reduce the time needed to open the account and ensure the entire workflow functions optimally."
"The product is low-code, which means you need less knowledge to do tasks and a company can still speed up the development process."
"The initial setup isn't too complex."
"I chose to settle for an academic solution (WebRatio) that meets my licensing requirements at a very low cost while still providing solid local support via partner."

Cons

"Numerous options can make implementation confusing."
"Customer service rating: 3"
"Creatio needs to stabilize their marketplace."
"The way bpm's infrastructure works, you can only have one data source on a page."
"It would be great if the product included a process design tool like Visio inside Process Designer."
"If you really want a BI-capable tool, it is better to acquire licenses of such products."
"For processes that require logical thinking and are highly complex with less structured flows, I would rate it a six out of ten because Studio Creatio does not excel at logical thinking, which is the key difference."
"It would take some time because of lagging. Everybody would have to stop doing it and maybe do it when everybody has finished their work, probably at night shift if everybody is in day shift or after business hours."
"The maintenance aspect is too heavy."
"Interfaces are still not very well developed. Scripts on the same web page conflict with each other and this requires careful consideration of the process and application logic, which should not be the case."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the pricing a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive."
"From my standpoint, it blows out of the water all the other competitors out there that we were potentially looking at, and it was in a reasonable price range, whereas you have these other Fortune 500 companies that were asking for a ridiculous amount."
"There is a license required for this solution."
"I rate the product price a five or six on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"The tool is reasonably priced."
"It is fairly competitive."
"The pricing plans are not user-friendly because in many cases you have to buy different options to get additional features."
