Simple to set up, reasonable pricing, and useful remote control capabilities
I'm on the latest version of the solution. I just updated it yesterday. While we have the solution on-premises at this time, we'll likely move to the cloud later this year. They have a trial version that you can try. They have a free version that you can try as well. I use it myself to support my family. I would try the free version or the trial version depending on your business. They can set you up and you can get to see all the features. I would also advocate going to the cloud version. Don't bother with the on-prem. It's just easier to jump to the cloud. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We have recovered the 6 to 8 (agonizing) hours a month we used to spend with another platform's tech support."
"Customer Service: Excellent. Technical Support: Also excellent."
"Customer Service is the best."
"Customer Service: Excellent. Have been able to help me determine when to use the operator assisted service and even demo-ed this experience for me in order to make more informed decision."
"Chairperson controls are pretty user-friendly."
"They have a great deployment team."
"I utilize ReadyTalk to train roughly 300 people monthly, my colleagues use it to host staff meetings, to supplement coursework from our online university, and to deliver organizational content to our constituent base."
"Using ReadyTalk has strengthened our webinar program at AMA."
"The remote management piece is the most valuable aspect of the solution for us due to the fact that we can support our clients after hours."
"It's much easier to use ProtectWise Control than to use, for instance, TightVNC or VNC Viewer."
"I am able to support our remote users; this has been a great help."
"The flexibility to manage bandwidth and organize connections, and the price, make ConnectWise a really good choice."
"Compared to what's out there the pricing is probably a good value."
"The unattended access functionality is a valuable feature, because I can go in at any time that I want, deploy fixes, or do maintenance."
"Being able to flip quickly between however many monitors that I have running, detune the video for black and white, or with fewer colors to make it faster, is amazing."
"You can set up the remote access and get pretty granular as far as permissions go, but it's just been a fantastic tool and I would highly recommend it to anybody."

Cons

"One great feature they can add is the ability to use animations within your slides."
"Prices can always be dropped but overall these rates are competitive with other teleconferencing systems."
"You have to schedule operator-assisted audio events 24 hours in advance, if the turn around time could be quicker - it would help with last minute events."
"Supporting PPT animations and direct upload of recordings to YouTube would be great."
"I would love to see a lobby that attendees can wait in prior to starting the conference."
"We'd like the joining process for presenters to be more seamless (and they are working on that)."
"Would love to have a calendar (much like Outlook offers) that included scheduled appointments."
"Compared to other webinar platforms, ReadyTalk's pricing is a bit high."
"There is one back-end issue that I am running into at some of locations where I login to provide support, and sometimes port 443 is blocked."
"The file transfer function could be a little more robust for multi-file transfers."
"The previous version of ScreenConnect was so old that it was blocked by Windows Defender, SmartScreen, and most anti-virus applications."
"Mobile interface."
"What we need this product to do is to be able to control Windows Updates. LogMeIn Central allowed us remote access but also allowed to push and install Windows Updates, and third-party updates... When we made the switch to ConnectWise we lost the ability to do patching. That forced us, for our larger clients, to move to WSUS. We had to set up a VM on those larger clients to push Windows Updates and patches into the network."
"Eventually, we're going to be moving to them and shutting off ConnectWise."
"There could be improvement to the remote command line tools."
"The username is automatically generated by ScreenConnect and you can't choose it."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"We pay $3,000 USD for the service, yearly upfront."
"For the price we pay, we definitely feel it's worth it, but there are some contenders in the market that are coming out now, whose products are as good; they are offering more features and the price is actually less than ConnectWise. All things considered, the biggest thing is the lack of patching in ConnectWise. If they could integrate that into the product, that would be a game changer, if offered at the same price point."
"Good price and works well."
"Pricing is fair for Control and the licensing is simple."
"It is priced fairly."
"ConnectWise Control is not an overly expensive tool. Its pricing is reasonable."
"The cloud version is relatively inexpensive, but the on-premise version is expensive if you do not need three technicians, only one or two for concurrent sessions."
"We pay an annual licensing fee."
