Has connected financial data across departments and improved future cash flow planning
I would like to improve the integration with other solutions, as I need everything integrated, like the HR module, purchase module, SCM, production, and engineering. Each and every module should be connected to the finance module, and I think Oracle provides the right solution. Also, SAP, IFS, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 offer some solutions, but I am not as happy with them as I am with Oracle. I believe that Oracle E-Business Suite could improve by transitioning from Java-based scripts in our system to a web-based environment. While Oracle already has JD Edwards available in web-based format, I think it needs to be smoother for optimization and presentation in the future. In comparison, IFS is fully web-based, and all applications are sufficiently good and user-friendly. We are developing and trying to improve to a web-based setup, but it is currently too costly.

Has supported business operations through flexible customization and reliable reporting features
I find Pronto Xi quite robust, fast, and flexible in its use because we can set up any environment and customize it. It covers a wide range of functions, starting from basic finances such as accounts receivable, payable, down to service projects, manufacturing, plant maintenance, and all customer relationships, providing extensive functionality. We utilize Pronto Xi's customizable dashboards in our organization, and it is integrated with the Cognos BI system. These dashboards help us in gaining actionable insights and making informed decisions because they serve visualization purposes for higher-level reporting for top management and senior management. We use them for visualizations for senior management's everyday, weekly, or monthly catch-up with business performance. The advanced reporting capabilities of Pronto Xi improve decision-making because the users of the information understand where the business stands, how it performs, where the pitfalls are, and which branches of businesses are underperforming or doing well. As long as the basic underlying data is correct, they're excellent to use. Pronto Xi's strong emphasis on security and compliance is quite important for my organization because it is strict with multi-layered access and complex password systems. These aspects influence my trust in the platform because we haven't had any problems with Pronto Xi. While there were issues with other systems, Pronto Xi has been reliable, and I would rate my trust level at nine out of ten. The scalability of Pronto Xi is good as my business grows, both in terms of functionality and third-party applications integration.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The integration of the various modules is definitely the most valuable feature for us. Our clients being business-minded, which involves customers and suppliers."
"The extensibility that we've needed over the past several years is the most valuable feature for us."
"The most valuable feature for us is integrity in the sense that the General Ledger module is directly connected with our payables, and our Human Resources is connected with payroll, so it's one unit from HR's perspective, which is very efficient."
"I like Oracle ERP for streamlining the entire process from PRTL and invoice payments. It also has the decision and internet sale order, and my customers can correct the internet decision. It automatically converts to the internet order, and they don't need to create the entry object. They don't need to make a secondary ledger in the parent company and subsidiary. That's very helpful for internet decisions. If they get an order at the parent company, it automatically creates the sales system in the subsidiary."
"The most valuable features of Oracle E-Business Suite are all the 15 to 20 modules. We use them on a day-to-day basis."
"It was very easy to integrate the product into our existing infrastructure."
"We have had a good experience with this solution for 13 years."
"Oracle E-Business Suite's most valuable feature is the information that it provides."
"I find Pronto Xi quite robust, fast, and flexible in its use because we can set up any environment and customize it, and it covers a wide range of functions, starting from basic finances such as accounts receivable, payable, down to service projects, manufacturing, plant maintenance, and all customer relationships, providing extensive functionality."
"Pronto Xi is very user-friendly, and anyone can operate it without difficulty, unlike SAP or AS/400."

Cons

"Although all the modules are integrated with each other into E-Business Suite, sometimes when you apply one patch for Accounts Receivable, for example, it can damage Accounts Payable."
"Areas for improvement would be that sometimes it's a bit rigid with customization and doesn't always facilitate region-specific requirements."
"The user interface is not completely a web interface, it uses a lot of traffic which costs too much for a large number of users scattered throughout the country as they connect from their terminals to do their tasks."
"The deployment of the Oracle E-Business Suite was simple. I have done many deployments and I find it simple, but for others, it might not be easy."
"The implementation took a long time but it was for many reasons. However, Oracle made sure that the solution and systems were up and running."
"I’ll mark scalability as 70-30."
"The on-premises version of this solution can be difficult to expand, compared to its cloud version. The on-premises version is also more limited, versus the cloud version that has a lot of improvements. Maintaining this solution is also too costly."
"It took about a year and was a painful process."
"The areas of Pronto Xi that could be improved include its appearance, which is quite outdated, as it does not use modern visualization means of its functionality, and it appears to be from the late 90s."
"There are a lot of things to be developed in Pronto Xi. I believe we need spool files, better control of inventory levels, and improved distribution capabilities."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of the solution is extremely high."
"This is a highly-priced application and would not be affordable for small or medium business domains."
"In my opinion, the prices for Oracle ERP are reasonable, especially considering the various discounts that are often available."
"Compared to other vendors like SAP or Microsoft, the prices for Oracle are reasonable, but they could always be lower."
"The license is very expensive and I think that it needs to be cheaper to get a wider range of users or customers."
"Both the current projects and future projects should be defined well. Licensing should be done according to current and near future plans."
"The solution is quite expensive."
"Oracle has different licensing models available. For example, concurrent user license metric and power unit licensing metric. It is different from product to product, but for the application itself, the license is by the number of users."
