Pros
"We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."

"Some of the useful features are NetFlow and analytics.""The features we found most valuable in ManageEngine OpManager are the probe server and reporting because they're pretty good features.""The detections are fine when they work.""We use the solution to monitor links. It also helps us to track servers and monitor logs.""The integration with the firewall monitoring, the security monitoring, is great.""The setup was easy.""We don't have to keep an eye on it; it has a good automation option, which keeps us informed. It gives very less false positives. Overall, a really great product.""I liked Network Configuration Manager. They had some pretty decent features there, and they also had pretty good monitoring and alerts."

"We have had many requests to understand in the network which devices are connected to others. Most people don't have this information or are able to establish a map of data flow everywhere around the network. Scrutinizer can really help with this. We are using it to understand who is talking to what, how, and which protocols can help us to improve security and analyze flow.""The ability to view the status of the top-10 at a glance is helpful. We immediately know which link is over-utilized or heavily used... and it's all in real-time.""The most valuable features of the solution are the ability to track what a device is doing and to go back historically. It is also able to go down to, and identify, very low levels of traffic.""There are other tools out there that will do what Scrutinizer does. But what I have found with Scrutinizer is that it does it very quickly. I've taken 25 million individual data fragments from the different sensors, and it has graphed that and mapped it and presented a picture within 30 seconds. It has a very efficient database algorithm that I am really impressed with.""One of the most valuable features of Plixer Scrutinizer is the reporting, particularly how easy it is to drill down into the reports. Another valuable feature of the solution is its overall visibility. It's great. I also liked Plixer Scrutinizer in terms of deployment time and that it's very simple to set up. Once you get the appliance set up and connected, the customer starts to see results immediately, versus other solutions where that could take a while.""As a network engineer, the ability to identify what traffic on the link is consuming all the bandwidth at any given time, and provide immediate feedback to the business, is the most valuable feature.""It's agnostic as far as what your network gear is. As long as it supports an sFlow, JFlow, NetFlow, some kind of flow monitoring, Plixer will support it very well.""The most valuable features of Plixer Scrutinizer are its ease of use, accessibility, and UI."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"The licensing for this solution is not straightforward and should be improved.""This product is little bit slow sometimes. It may be that we need to change the configuration to improve performance.""The dashboard has some limitations and should be more user-friendly.""The dashboard could include more features.""It would be great if there were some sort of artificial intelligence feature which would help us make improvements in the network once we find an issue, and do it automatically.""OpManager is slow but that just might be the server we have it on. I don't think that's the problem but I don't do the server. But it is slow. When you're interacting with it, it could be more nimble and could be faster.""The only problem with it is that the setup isn't very intuitive. I know that they just upgraded the product to make it a little bit easier to use, but compared to some of the other platforms, it is not easy to configure it, set it up, and get it running. However, once you have set it up and got it running, it runs great.""There should be an option to get mobile notifications or SMS mirror notifications for critical issues. That way, when we don't have access to email, we can still receive notifications via our phones."

More ManageEngine OpManager Cons →

"There was a price lift because previously the product was privately owned, and now there is some external capital in the organization, so pricing could be lower, though, for Plixer Scrutinizer, there is almost no competition at this price point.""From what I understand it is that the solution is not very scalable in a high volume traffic environment with a large number of flows.""The visual acuity of how it presents data can sometimes be confusing. It takes a bit for people to spin up how to look at the graphs.""In Plixer Scrutinizer, scalability is an area with minor concerns where improvements are required.""We couldn't get it set up properly.""Data retention needs improvement. Data retention is a thing where we are looking for a better way to collect flow data for a longer time to do forensic research on security incidents. By default, data retention is quite low. We need detailed data in safe storage for a longer time, e.g., for a couple of months. An improvement would be a way to export data into a secure long-term storage.""They're working on the security areas, so it can provide more insight. What they have is still pretty much IP-concentric. If they were to make it IP and URL, they'd be a little bit ahead on that.""For updating the Scrutinizer platform, when we have the actual data, it never happens in one day. Every time we have the data, we are obliged to install a new server in order to integrate the old data, and every time it has a problem. Most of the time, we were obliged to scrap all the data because we couldn't transfer it to the new server. So, it would be very good if they could improve this part."
