Has supported quick dashboard creation and data sharing but lacks tools for managing multiple reports efficiently
We integrated Looker Studio with other platforms in our data ecosystem; we tried integrating with Sheets, and that went okay, but it could have been better. It could have been better because it needed a very specific format to read the data, so we had to reformat the sheet file. Looker Studio was mostly just helpful in that it provided live updating charts for tracking performance indicators in the organization. Integrating with a database was very difficult because there wasn't a lot of feedback for what was going wrong with the connection. I don't remember if we reached out to support. I didn't personally reach out, but my boss may have. I didn't reach out to support, so I do not have experience with it to rate it. We worked with the free version of Looker Studio initially, and we upgraded at some point to the pro version; I don't remember if we actually paid for it or if it was just a free trial. The pricing was reasonable. I remember doing a price comparison, and it was pretty reasonable, but it did have fewer features than a lot of other software, which was okay for a comparable price but a little cheaper.

Data analytics has transformed our KPI tracking and now drives faster sales decisions
This tool has given me the power to convert data into new analytical applications, giving me transparency about working on multiple platforms, and since it is cloud-based, it combines different pages for a complete progress report. Overall, it is playing a perfect, fantastic role in my organization. Some of the best features Sisense offers include its speed due to the In-Chip methodology, great visualization that makes BI easier, and the ability to load millions of data in seconds, which did not seem possible with other traditional reporting tools. It also has a robust architecture and provides REST APIs for external access. I emphasized the In-Chip methodology because it allows for accessing millions of data in a short span of seconds while providing the best visual effects for our business data.

Ease of developing dashboards and receiving strong technical support have enabled efficient data visualization
Introducing custom features, such as NLP-based reports, is not very good in Tableau. My MD has been asking us for a way to write in natural language to request reports that the system should generate, but that isn't very effective with Tableau. As a developer, I can develop an on-demand report in Python quite easily, but exposing a REST API on the Tableau platform is not a very easy task. AI enablement is an area for improvement for Tableau, and that is something they might have to work upon. I have heard that ThoughtSpot is quite better in this regard, but the cost of ThoughtSpot is much higher. ThoughtSpot has lots of natural language-based report generation features that Tableau lacks.

Pros

"The integration with Excel and Google Sheets is a valuable feature, making it easy to access and visualize data."
"What I appreciate about Looker Studio is mostly the clean visuals, which is good, as I prefer a dashboard with a clean aesthetic rather than feeling sort of an old Windows type of dashboard."
"Data Studio integrates seamlessly with other Google products, and we can use it with other APIs if we like."
"This is a great tool if your organization leverages other sets of Google tools and needs some quick ideas that are a prettier and more interactive than Google Analytics."
"The best thing about the tool is that it allows you to share information easily and dashboards with colleagues and teammates because it's all online. No matter where you are, as long as you have the Internet, you can connect and use these dashboards. Google made good documentation for this tool. There are many examples of how to use and create dashboards and videos on YouTube. So, I think it's easy to learn."
"I find it favorable regarding speed of development, ease of building, and flexibility."
"We previously used Microsoft Power BI, but Google is better."
"I would rate this solution eight or nine out of ten."
"Reduced time to complete paper-based quarterly reports from one month to one day using Sisense to create dashboards."
"The dashboard design interface is very intuitive and allows you to quickly and easily produce professional, innovative dashboards."

"Sisense is one of the best BI tools that can load more data and has consistently no downtime compared to other modern BI tools."
"Sisense can do both in a much much faster way, which drives our reporting efficiency into another level."
"ElastiCube Manager is a very easy to use ETL tool, which includes the ability to easily transform raw data into reusable data."
"It's the ease of use. It is also a self-service tool so it decreases the burden on having centralized IT-type teams or developers."
"Its dashboarding is the most valuable."
"The primary use case of this solution is for the BI daily usage and all of the KPI for analysis."
"All-important, high-level metrics are at the fingertips of top management, which makes decision making less painful and more data oriented."
"Tableau is (I believe) the best tool for data visualization."
"This solution has a very good sound analysis quotient attached to it, it's very diligent in that way, it's also simple to implement, very intuitive and provides good performance."
"Previously, we were maintaining an Excel file for graphs and tables, but with Tableau, dashboards are released and we have requested employees to access the data directly from the dashboard, and now the process is automated so there are no manual errors."
"It is helping to make Makerbot a data-driven company."

Cons

"The tool should improve on live data integration for quicker data reflection."
"When you physically install a product on one machine instead of the cloud, you have a better visibility, best icon quality, etc.. It's more of an issue with how we are adapting to the transition."
"Insisting on forums, blogs and community outreach in communications, and posting videos on an established calendar would be useful."
"The performance of Looker needs improvement, particularly the report loading time, which is critical for business users."
"Insisting on forums, blogs and community outreach in communications, and posting videos on an established calendar would be useful."
"I would appreciate improvements in the data modeling features, as it's not straightforward, and it's not what people in analytics are used to."
"Other tools might be worth considering if you need more advanced features or support for a larger user base."
"Panels are not as easy to use as other data extraction UIs."
"They should improve the filters to create downloaded data by moving them to the top of the dashboard."
"The initial version we purchased only ran on Windows servers, which was less than ideal for our DevOps team. I believe that has been remedied in the latest release."
"For very complicated blended data from multiple sources we would like Sisense to add a "nerd mode" where we can geek out without the visual connecting of tables and data elements."
"I would love to have more customization capabilities for building dashboards, especially in creating custom widget sizes."
"Sisense is easy to set up and connect to various formats and platforms, but it could improve its management strategy for dashboards created by multiple users, reducing complexity and enhancing security."
"Sisense is not able to handle three-dimensional data."
"I did encounter an issue with the Dashboard load time to be slow considering that we had a basic dashboard with five reports and no more than 300 rows was disconcerting."
"I would like to see an improvement in the live data connection, specifically making the process faster."
"It will be good if the server, could be more stable, and I would like to have the technical service to be more reliable."
"There is still room to improve visualization when more than two dimensions are synchronized."
"If they could add global filters in the stories, more chart types, and default colours, it would help."
"Tableau support could be improved."
"I would like the solution to have certain features allowing the delivery of reports to the email."
"The data processing in Tableau is pathetic compared to Qlik."
"Firstly, the high cost of Tableau licenses makes it inaccessible for many mid-scale clients. Secondly, the server requires at least 128GB of RAM, which can be impractical for some systems. We need a dedicated system to use Tableau."
"I would like Tableau Prep to be integrated with Tableau Desktop. I would also like more customizations for tables."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool is free."
"I think the tool is cheap because you don't need to pay anything for using the tool. However, when connecting and analyzing other data sources, you should consider where to analyze this information because Google Data Studio doesn't handle much data well. You must also consider how you will connect this data to it. In this case, you might need to hire DevOps or a data team to help with these issues."
"The product is available for free."
"The solution is free but the Google Looker is expensive."
"The cost is quite affordable based on feature analysis."
"Compared to Power BI or Tableau, Sisense is much more expensive."
"This solution is more expensive than Tableau, Qlik and Dundas. It is an expensive tool. They charge $75,000 while Tableau is $45,000."
"It is reasonable based on what it offers."
"Buy 50 at a time. Project your use base every three months, and project your requirements forward."
"The pricing of Tableau should be better to remain competitive in the market, especially when compared to alternatives."
"I downloaded the solution online for free."
"Tableau is an expensive solution compared to Power BI."
"For the use and the capability of the software, it's $70 per month, and that is quite inexpensive."
"It is fairly expensive. I have no idea what they paid. We were on an enterprise license, so whatever it is they licensed at the enterprise level is what we paid."
"Deployment of dashboards to viewers and unit supervisors can be prohibitively expensive."
