Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Automated document extraction has reduced manual paperwork and improves inspection accuracy
One area of KODAK Info Input Solution that I would like to see improved or enhanced in the future is support, especially sales support. Technical support is adequate. For example, when we were negotiating about the pricing of the solution, the sales support was interested more in us buying the plan, but they were not explaining what the benefits of this solution are or how it is going to help us. The focus was specifically on buying the plan, which I saw was not good. Another thing is about the interface. The interface should be improved. It looks a little bit outdated compared to other modern SaaS platforms. If they can improve on the UI and interface, that would be helpful. To be honest, what we purchased KODAK Info Input Solution for is executing our plan. I don't think I'm not aware about that. Maybe other features should be included, but the features we currently have in KODAK Info Input Solution help execute our plan. If they can improve on analytics, that would be great. The AI summary can tell you what you have, but analytics are not adequate. As I mentioned before, we have to export our data to another third-party tool, Tableau, to analyze our data.

Effective document automation with strong integration capabilities and very good support
Our primary use case for Nintex RPA involves getting documents from emails, reading those documents, and transferring them from the IRD to finance. We are also exploring the LP and Intech features for more advanced use cases Nintex RPA helps our government and public sector customers with…

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"From a technical perspective, developers can easily create bots and get things done with this tool."
"Automation Anywhere performs efficiently."
"The features that we found most valuable have been just automating manual processes. We are able to integrate and work with applications that users typically work with. That has been the best feature for us right now."
"It is also easy to design and implement, even for business users who don't have technical skills. A little bit of training is required, about five to seven days, and then they can start. The learning curve is low."
"AA has improved our digital strategy extensively and provided the required leverage to place ourselves above other peers in the O&G Industry. We were able to develop quick digital solutions by demonstrating the ROI and gain momentum by aligning the desired resources & budget from leadership."
"IQ Bot is something which is going to disrupt the market in the future. We... are particularly impressed with the evolution of IQ Bot and the kind of disruption it is bringing to the OCR space."
"The deployment was good."
"In general, when you set up the cloud solution, it's very, very easy."
"I rate KODAK Info Input Solution a ten out of ten."
"By using KODAK Info Input Solution, we can scan the document, which automatically enters all details, allowing us to avoid mistakes in this way."
"What makes KODAK Info Input Solution perfect is that it has comprehensive capabilities, features, and tools including its own printers and scanners that can easily connect and share information."
"The return on investment with KODAK Info Input Solution is excellent because it has helped us so much and, although we pay $4,800 annually, in return it saves a lot of our time."
"The KODAK Info Input Solution's customer support is the best."
"I find the pricing of KODAK Info Input Solution to be friendly and affordable because before implementing the software in our company, our system manager discussed it with us and we found the pricing to be reasonable, which is why we recommended it."
"The KODAK Info Input Solution collects data automatically, which saves time, unlike when someone has to enter data manually."
"The most valuable feature of KODAK Info Input Solution is the open intelligence piece, the ability to consume five different OCR engines."
"Those 15,000 hours saved are a fantastic result and we're at a 99 percent success rate."
"This rate system has allowed us to be more responsive and competitive with our rates with less human involvement."
"[One of the valuable features] is the triggers. It's relatively simple to activate it. You can activate it via Control-M or via email. It has a lot of built-in triggers which enable us to easily activate the jobs."
"Since then, we've been able to close numerous claims and therefore reduce our reserves by literally millions of dollars."
"Once I decide a process is suitable as a Kryon solution, the cycle of automation is quite quick. I learn about the manual process and I'm one of the two guys who program the Kryon environment. It's relatively simple. There are many details, but once you understand the concept it is quite easy."
"The full-service automation aspects and the process discovery are the most valuable features of Kryon RPA."
"The thing that we find the most value in is the Process Discovery component and the ability to really see what users are doing on a day-to-day basis. We're starting to make sense of the processes that they're doing and getting visibility into what they're doing. Overall, the Process Discovery is very good."
"All our users have no technical background. But Kryon is really simple and intuitive. Our business adapted very quickly and easily. This is the main thing and it's why we love the system so much. It's why we are always trying to put more processes into the system and make more use cases: because of the simplicity and the intuitive nature of the system."

Cons

"Its pricing definitely needs to be more competitive. When licensing costs are high, we cannot use this tool for automation."
"Cloud was one of the features we wanted to see, because it makes it much easier. The second feature is ease of use in terms of agnostic operating system."
"We did face some issues last year when there was an upgrade in Automation Anywhere control room, and at that time our web application automations were failing."
"If we are going through the high availability in the IQ Bot setup, it's a bit complex."
"Regarding my experience with the pricing, setup cost, and licensing of Automation Anywhere, I have some concerns about the product licensing model."
"The Automation Anywhere Control room component features can be improved, as of now it contains too many roles and rules which makes it confusing to use it."
"I would like more integration into the entire Microsoft Suite of products, not just Excel. Companies use all of Microsoft products at the same time, and being good at just one Microsoft tool is a limiting factor. Being able to use Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook together and have them integrated (as standard) into the tool would be very useful, especially when you go into attended automation."
"As a solution, it could have been easier to use than in the current state."
"The main challenge concerns the mobile application."
"One area of KODAK Info Input Solution that I would like to see improved or enhanced in the future is support, especially sales support."
"The most significant area for improvement in the KODAK Info Input Solution is its ability to support custom definitions and auto-learn."
"Sometimes there is an accuracy problem with KODAK Info Input Solution. Sometimes while connecting to the database, it shows errors, such as SQL login failed, your port is blocked, or not reachable."
"Integrating KODAK Info Input Solution with other software, such as Laserfiche, presents challenges due to inadequate documentation and an unintuitive web services interface."
"The KODAK Info Input Solution can improve its connection with scanners. It connects most effectively with Kodak's own scanners, specifically the S S S SMAX Scanners, while connections with other brands, such as Epson or HP, can take more time."
"The only area I think KODAK Info Input Solution could improve on is making their user interface more user-friendly and offering full customer customization of features."
"The fact is that we found this bug something like six months ago and it's still not in the new version."
"Another major drawback is OCR. We are not able to read scanned documents correctly in a reliable way. There is always some margin of error. Some of the processes require us to read scanned documents, and you need to ensure that it is 100 percent accurate. Without that level of assurance, you can't automate such tasks."
"The process discovery tool of Kryon RPA could be improved because of its limitations."
"Nintex RPA is not suitable for PDF automation."
"We have found some difficulties regarding the integration with legacy systems where the screen has elements in the Hebrew language. The connection to Hebrew, right-to-left systems, is more challenging."
"Another major drawback is OCR. We are not able to read scanned documents correctly in a reliable way."
"When a project is very big, a lot of memory is taken up."
"Kryon RPA need to enhance the robustness of our multi-board architecture to ensure the availability of bots on multiple machines."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Based on what I've heard, it's costly, but I don't know much about its pricing."
"Currently, it stands as one of the more expensive RPA tools available."
"The solution itself is free unless we want to add the support option but we have to pay for the bots we use."
"Automation Anywhere is costlier than the general competition. That is aligned with the share of the market it has."
"The product’s pricing is reasonable."
"Additional costs will be for the machines and the number of machines that you are using. You can deploy virtually as well as on physical machines. In both the situations, you do need to allocate a certain budget for securing the machines and where the software will be installed and running. The machines cannot be used for anything else, because only a certain bot can run at a certain time. You need to be very particular about your scheduling of running the bots, and while the bot is running nobody can use the machine. You cannot have an agent working on a machine and the bot running in the background. It has to be completely dedicated. Then there are the network bandwidth requirements and space requirements, which are additional costs apart from the licensing and software costs. The developer is also going to charge you for their coding time too."
"The licensing fees are approximately $10,000 USD for between five and ten users."
"It is reasonable and affordable. If you consider the tasks that we can get done using this, the pricing is reasonable and affordable."
"The pricing of KODAK Info Input Solution in Mexico is very expensive, and the government's purchasing process requires convincing many stakeholders."
"Although KODAK Info Input Solution's pricing is competitive within the industry's consumption-based model, its approach is overly complex."
"We're paying in the neighborhood of about $66,000 a year. The cost is fairly similar to its competitors' costs. It might have been a little bit more reasonable than the others, and that cost was with Process Discovery in addition."
"Compared to its competitors, Kryon RPA's pricing is very competitive."
"The product has reasonable pricing."
"Licensing costs are about $100,000 a year without any additional costs."
"We've more than broken even over on the license. Year to date, we are at $120,000 in savings."
"Kryon is slightly more expensive compared to UiPath."
"We are probably saving $6000 to $8000 a month in labor costs. It's not a ton, but we're right around $60,000 to $80,000 a year with our current deployment."
"They license per robot and we have 25 robots. You get so many robot licenses and can allocate those licenses to either attended, unintended, or Process Discovery bots. If you have 25 licenses, for example, you could have 20 automation bots and five process discovery. This allocation is flexible. There are also maintenance costs."
