We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution is easy to use, simple to understand for those new to using it, and combined with the other Microsoft products it makes for an overall good package.""The reporting and analytics features in Microsoft Intune have been a lifesaver.""Its direct integration with all the other products that we have from Microsoft is valuable. We're using the E5 license, and we have a whole wealth of different products available. It just makes it easier to have everything from one provider.""The dashboards, the security, and the customization capabilities work very well for us.""The ability to send configurations to our systems is valuable, particularly as we don't have a regular Windows AD server. Our current environment doesn't have a Windows AD, which limits our ability to push GPOs. However, this is where the solution can step in and help us push policies.""The stability is good.""We have a BYOD policy, and this solution helps us manage our devices.""Intune's unified endpoint management platform is invaluable."

"The most valuable features of MobileIron UEM are tunneling and enterprise integration.""The user interface is user-friendly.""It's effective in what it is able to achieve and it's easy to use.""The company provides great customer service.""The most valuable feature is that everything is in one place, which makes it easy to manage."

More Ivanti Neurons for MDM Pros →

"The most valuable feature is the mobile device management capability. You can easily manage all of your mobile devices.""One of the most valuable features of Sophos Mobile is the Wifi password.""They always add more features to this product.""The remote management and cloud-based maintenance features of this solution are very useful for our organization.""I like the level of interaction that the product offers with the other products in our company's environment.""The solution is quite user-friendly.""The solution provides us with data protection.""Sophos can block the Wi-Fi connection on a mobile device. That's one feature we wanted, but the main thing is the ability to disable the device if it's lost or stolen. We need to shut down PayPal, so it can't be used to make unauthorized purchases."

Cons
"The documentation about the custom image setup could be better. Although Microsoft provides the steps to configure Intune or set up or deploy Intune, it doesn't have much information related to custom images. If you ask, "how can we deploy the custom image?" There is no information. The steps they mention ask you to connect to your on-premises environment or create your own image on the cloud itself once there is connectivity. But I needed to go to multiple websites to get all this information. I had to figure out how to upload the custom image if you want to use the on-premise custom image for Cloud PC. If you have the proper subscription, you must have the right access, like global admin or owner. Then you can add your custom image to that. There are no steps mentioned over there. Microsoft Intune doesn't have Chrome browser support. I would like to have that support because they will want it if we pitch the product to clients.""One area for improvement is app deployment. Another is the Windows update rollout. If you're rolling out an object to a device that's offline, Intune stops trying to reach this device after it sits idle for a bit. We are forced to find a workaround that could help manage that.""The solution requires Mac support.""It would be great to see on-premises mailboxes and for the solution to have geofencing capabilities.""Enhancements for managing MacOS more comprehensively would be beneficial.""Microsoft Intune lags market leaders, such as Apperian, in its MAM capabilities.""It would be great if Intune offered better data protection controls for BYOD Windows PCs.""When somebody has a customized application or their own company's application, we cannot deploy that application."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"MobileIron UEM could improve the monitoring of devices.""The integration between the MobileIron and Advanced Neurons isn't completely in sync, and we're still working on that.""We would like the initial setup to be simpler.""UI needs an upgrade, feels very outdated.""The interface is complicated and not very easy to use."

More Ivanti Neurons for MDM Cons →

"Our support reps are based in the Philippines, and it's hard to connect with them sometimes. It took me about two months to resolve my issue, so it wasn't a good experience.""In terms of what could be improved, the initial configuration and setup of the environment could probably be made a little bit easier. There are so many pieces that go into it. Intune is absolutely insane and Sophos is better, but it still is a bit complex to get it all set up correctly.""We encounter issues while working with iOS.""It could be more secure.""To manage the Apple devices is not that straightforward there are a lot of features the other third parties solutions are offering which Sophos Mobile is not.""The product does not work well in iOS.""We have experienced issues in updating iOS devices when we set a minimum version requirement policy, and we do not have the option to force automatic installation. This means that the device must be supervised in order for updates to be applied, which we would like to see improved.""The setup should be made easier."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."
