Cloud deployment has streamlined complex manufacturing projects and supports faster implementations
The workflow configuration, alert configuration, and report designing could be a bit easier. It is easy now, but it needs some technical guidance in terms of writing code, fixing it, and making it more flexible for users. The improvement needed in this area is around twenty percent. Seventy to eighty percent is user-friendly, but if Infor can put more energies into making this easier, that would be beneficial. Extensions and any customizations are also a bit technical. If they can make it a simple drag and drop, low code or no code method, it would be easier. Another area for improvement is AI integration. As we are in the AI era, Infor is putting energies into integrating AI within the application, but they are still in progress. If AI can be integrated so that customers or users can interact with it, that would be beneficial. If users want any information from the system or application, it should be a chat-based, user-friendly interaction so that they can get insights in real time. AI integration would add an advantage on a greater level, and Infor should focus on this improvement area.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Most of them who use Infor LN have add-ons connected to ERP. It's either a supplier exchange, or they've got sales problems that are integrated with it."
"We like the recent customization features that Infor is providing, such as extensibility, which do not impact on version upgrades."
"The solution has helped a lot in the sense of consolidation and in providing us with real-time information."
"Infor LN has led to money saving and cost savings since I started using it."
"It's not too hard to handle the initial setup."
"Customer service and support are very good."
"Infor LN is compatible with our company size and is cost-effective compared to other ERP solutions like SAP."
"In terms of ease of use and product vision, Infor LN stands tall."
"The initial setup is not complex. The deployment process was relatively straightforward."
"Sage Business Cloud Enterprise Management has helped by making processes such as calculating costs, accessing inventory information quickly, validating offers, and extracting data easier."
"The most valuable feature of Sage Business Cloud Enterprise Management is the business intelligence module. Additionally, report consolidation, cloud access, and analysis are useful."
"The interface is rich in features, allowing efficient management of business operations."
"The solution is parameterized so it naturally has the ability to parameterize, configure, and adapt to various organizational procedures."
"The accounting part and the procurement part are most valuable. It is a very good system with workflows and notifications."

Cons

"The user interface is not very intuitive for newer users."
"The freight management module is a bit complex and can be improved."
"The workflow configuration, alert configuration, and report designing could be a bit easier."
"The training for Infor LN is not straightforward, so a non-specialist will need training before using it."
"The user interface of Infor LN could be more intuitive for common users. Sometimes, it is necessary to have an expert for connections."
"It's not that intuitive."
"Another point is the lack of user-friendly tools to create reports."
"Only people who undergo training from the companies can learn about Infor products."
"The solution does not have a solid, out-of-the-box API architecture that is supported."
"Sage Business Cloud Enterprise Management could improve the search functionality. For example, if I was to search for a transaction from last year it would be difficult to accomplish. I have to scroll through to find what I am looking for. The approach should be more similar to Quickbooks where when you search for something it takes you directly to the searched item."
"It is not suitable for corporate or manufacturing companies. For example, it's challenging to use it for a manufacturing company."
"Integration with other tools like BOM or Cisco BlueQ could be improved."
"Its implementation process is kind of complicated. If the person implementing it doesn't know what he is doing, the system can have many issues. Sage X3 is just an accounting system. As compared to Oracle E-Business Suite, it does not cover a lot of functionality. It doesn't have the payroll, lease management, and HR modules. Oracle E-Business Suite is better than Sage X3."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of the solution can vary."
"Infor LN is a free solution, and everything is included in the package, such as add-ons."
"Compared to other high-end ERP software, Infor LN's cost of ownership is lower. The difference isn't huge, though."
"The tool’s AMC and support are given on a yearly basis. You need to make monthly payments for support."
"We have to pay a licensing fee for the solution."
"The licensing costs for this solution are payable annually. Standard licenses are available, but there is also the option to pay to add extra features."
"If you use Infor LN in Infor CloudSuite, there is a need to make an early payment for a license, which is approximately 2,500 EUR."
"The cost is somewhat high."
"The price of this solution is expensive. However, it depends on the number of branches used. The price can be upwards of $40,000 annually."
"It is very cheap. There are no additional charges, but the problem is that you have to acquire an additional supporting system such as a budgeting system. You will have to implement the integration and maintain two systems. So, you need to pay for the license of that budgeting system and this one. You also need to pay the license for the payroll and integration. There are all these integrations that you have to pay for."
"The solution delivers the same capabilities of SAP or Oracle at about 30% to 40% of the cost."
"The cost is not expensive."
