We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable features are the Excel activities. It has a number of Excel activities that are quite reliable.""It really does help by either freeing up people's time to focus on more value-added tasks or reducing headcount. We generally have other things that we can get people to do, helping make the employees' work more meaningful since they are not having to do the mundane stuff.""The solution is stable, we have not had any glitches or problems.""We recommend different solutions based on our customers' needs, and WorkFusion is what we offer for those who need a premium solution.""Their robots have increased the rate of efficiency by two to five times in our organization. There is still a human element to code out the package running the robots. You can't just click something and have it run. However, once that has been done, you can parallelize it 10 or 100 times in a fairly straightforward manner.""The Robotic Desktop Automation Express component allows us to do rapid development outside the normal, time-consuming processes.""WorkFusion helps by speeding up processes. The process takes time. It has business costs associated because there are people waiting to take the next steps in the process. The end result of waiting, whether it is an internal or external team, is that they are delayed. Therefore, it helps us in speeding up business processes and improving employee morale, as people don't have to do repetitive work anymore.""We have seen Workfusion improve on accuracy and compliance... With the Workfusion model, we reduce human error and the need for further QC. We switch more to a QA process where we're testing whether the model is effective."

"I actually quite liked the no-coding functionality.""This tool has machine learning and voice recognition and computer vision, which are both quite useful aspects. These aren't available in other tools. It's a good addition to this tool and it gives the solution an edge on the market.""The most valuable features for my client are timing and scheduling.""We have found the pricing to be very reasonable.""The solution is continuously adding more integrations to help with workflows and bot and task creation.""The pricing is excellent. I would give them perfect marks in that regard.""The licensing of the product is very good. You only need to license it once and then you have it forever.""The most valuable feature is the drag-and-drop interface, which is very Windows-like."

"The sequencer programming mode's ease of use is its most valuable aspect. The ease of calling out the functions in a sequence, basically from the functional side, is great.""Microsoft Power Automate is very easy to use.""We have a good overview of our processes now thanks to Power Automate.""The program requires no code making it very easy to implement various functions.""Different trigger events were most valuable. You could schedule a process on a recurring basis, at a certain time of day or week, or when something happens, which is huge.""The most valuable feature is how much you can do with this solution.""The tool is very good at implementing automation within processes. It's saved us from doing a lot of manual processes.""It's an intuitive product. It's not overly technical."

Cons
"We are having some database issues, but we are addressing them.""One thing we didn't like was their OCR solution. We felt it's somewhat inefficient.""The product could do more to expand its 'codeless' coding options by adding drag-and-drop assistance in building bots for non-technical users.""There is enhanced functionality I would like to see, things that would further enhance the user experience, deliver greater efficiencies, and further mitigate risk.""We have executed our robots thousands of times in our enterprise environment. However, in an enterprise environment, WorkFusion has performance problems. It is slow in production.""I would like it if they provided a more detailed roadmap in terms of where they are going with the product. As we are trying to make decisions about the things that we are going to do to try to augment our capabilities, we could know whether they are thinking about the same things or not.""The most common issue we have is with the OCR, but that also depends on the quality of the documents your scanning. Still, I would say the OCR is comparable to other solutions. I wouldn't say it's better or worse than other OCR engines.""It is difficult for non-technical users to use WorkFusion. If we really want to build automation, we definitely need Java developers. Their RPA is not for non-technical people. If I look at competing products, like Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Blue Prism, or even Power Automate, a non-technical person can build basic automations and deploy them. Since non-technical people can easily build basic automations, they can be deployed in no time. With WorkFusion, there isn't a similar feature that works well. One needs to write code from scratch to build automation. That is definitely a deterrent if we really want to do quick, dirty automation. I would not rate WorkFusion very high on their no-code, low-code paradigm. In this area, I would definitely expect them to improve."

More WorkFusion Cons →

"The interface could be more user-friendly and easier to navigate.""They do not encrypt passwords, so this is an issue with HIPAA compliance.""The solution has a very weak knowledge base.""Some companies have asked for voice integration. This is likely part of the roadmap.""The technical support could be better. We suffer from language barriers, as we are in Argentina.""The documentation is not that great.""It's possible that they could use a stronger community for seeking guidance and help.""The vendor is currently working on a solution that allows us to automatically create a process that is based on a document that we receive via email."

More HelpSystems AutoMate Cons →

"It would be great if it was able to integrate more with various other platforms. It would make development easier.""Microsoft Power Automate could improve by adding more features to the free version it would be good because there are many features that you have to pay for. There are some functions that IT personnel, like myself, have a difficult time using and could be made more user-friendly.""We expect Microsoft Power Automate to work like any other RPA software, but at present, it is fairly lax, especially in the RPA space. We have a very limited set of use cases today for Microsoft Power Automate. Microsoft should make it a full-featured RPA product like other solutions that we use, such as Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, and UiPath. This is predominantly the area that they need to improve on. Microsoft Power Automate is quite complex to use as well, especially if you want to do advanced workflows or advanced automation. The regular simple workflows are quite easy and straightforward, but the moment you want to do something complex, it is almost impossible for one of our employees to work on it.""I would like more integration with other tools. It integrates well with Microsoft products, but there should be more integration with other platforms and tools, such as chatbots.""From an improvement perspective, Microsoft just needs to make sure that they have a real enterprise RPA tool. PowerApps and Power Automate are still not at the level of UiPath and Automation Anywhere. It could be because Automation Anywhere and UiPath have been in the market for quite some time. It's just about Microsoft increasing their focus in terms of product reviews and development and making them competitive products that one can consider at an enterprise level. Right now, their use cases are limited as compared to what one would consider doing with UiPath and Automation Anywhere.""I need to have more integration capabilities from this solution.""The solution could have more integration with different platforms.""We need a more powerful desktop option."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "It is not the most expensive solution, but it is also not the cheapest."
  • "I can't speak to pricing. It's a contract signed by upper management."
  • "We are on an annual contract to use the solution."
  • "My client is using RPA Express, which is available for them to use free of charge."
  • "One upgrade took a year to do, from the first server being built to the last bot being migrated. This was because we had to migrate all our existing bots. This is the same process and time frame that we are expecting towards the upcoming upgrade. I will end up spending half a million dollars to do an upgrade."
  • "The solution was not the cheapest, but it was also not the most expensive. Workfusion was very open to negotiating pricing and to working within the objectives of our firm."
  • "As a first-time customer who wants to engage with WorkFusion, not working for my company, then I would want to do a PoC. The cost is prohibitive because they will ask me to get infrastructure with six or seven servers. Then, you must buy a WorkFusion license to do a PoC, which is expensive. I would then have to set up a team to build the PoC and see the benefits. That is very prohibitive."
  • "We have a good deal from WorkFusion. We have an unlimited global licensing deal with WorkFusion. For us, it is a no-worry solution. We can go ahead and use it as much as possible anywhere we need it. If WorkFusion has a different kind of a deal for licensing with others, then their business decisions need to be evaluated based on that."

  • "I like the way this solution is priced because you can buy a license, or you can buy the software outright."
  • "It comes with a package that costs approximately $20,000 USD per year."
  • "While solutions like UiPath and Blue Prism cost around $11,000-$12,000 for each license, this product costs around $7,000 and you can keep it forever."

  • "This solution can save money when used for simple tasks specifically using only Microsoft products."
  • "There is zero licensing cost. It comes with our Microsoft Office subscription."
  • "I don't deal with the financial side. I know that we pay for a per-user license. It is probably less than $20 a user, but I am not sure about the exact figures."
  • "I am not aware of the recent pricing model, but during the time that I was using this solution is was reasonable."
  • "It is free with Office 365 subscription."
  • "The licensing cost for us at this time is between $8 and $20 per user, per month."
  • "It's more fragmented licensing, where every little thing that you add, you get an extra license cost."
  • "It is free for us. It is embedded directly in the Office package."
