ROI

Sentiment score
6.3
DX NetOps enhances network visibility, reduces downtime, optimizes performance, lowers operational costs, and improves efficiency with an intuitive interface.
Sentiment score
7.3
Organizations using LogicMonitor saved costs, reduced false alerts, improved efficiency, and enhanced visibility, preventing outages and boosting customer satisfaction.
It can save you the cost of the product by reducing expenses and downtimes in 12 to 18 months.
The return is more of value and savings in preventing costly downtime, making the savings of about $60,000 which we would have lost without LogicMonitor, and in IT staff efficiency, we save approximately 15 hours a week.
I can definitely notice a difference in our posture, uptime, and ability to solve problems and resolve outages much quicker since we have had LogicMonitor in place.

Customer Service

Sentiment score
6.0
DX NetOps support varies by region; US excels, improvements noted, but some delays and knowledge gaps affect satisfaction.
Sentiment score
7.7
LogicMonitor's customer service is praised for its quick, knowledgeable responses, with a highly regarded chat feature connecting users to engineers.
Everything about DX NetOps is perfect, including the interface, technical support, and pricing.
They are fast, responsive, and have technical expertise.
Customer support is on point and very well trained.
Customer support is good, but escalations within customer support are not so good.
The product mostly just works without issues.

Scalability Issues

Sentiment score
8.5
DX NetOps is praised for its scalability, managing networks from 1,000 to 100,000 devices, suiting enterprise-level needs.
Sentiment score
7.8
LogicMonitor provides scalable, cloud-based monitoring for diverse users, efficiently managing extensive infrastructures with flexibility and adaptability.
The product is very scalable, to the maximum.
They are not licensed, so you could deploy one collector or 1,000 collectors for the same cost.
LogicMonitor scales well

Stability Issues

Sentiment score
9.5
Users consistently rate DX NetOps high for stability, citing its smooth, reliable operation without bugs or crashes.
Sentiment score
8.2
LogicMonitor is praised for reliable performance, minimal outages, automatic updates, responsive alerts, and consistent availability with little maintenance.
I rate the stability of the product as ten on a scale of one to ten, indicating that it is very stable.
It is very stable. I have never seen LogicMonitor itself go down.

Room For Improvement

DX NetOps needs better support, enhanced usability, sophisticated features, automation, AI capabilities, and simplified programming and hardware requirements.
LogicMonitor challenges include enhancing alarm suppression, reporting, deployment, visualization, cloud monitoring, and desire for flexible alerts and dashboards.
DX NetOps is somewhat convoluted, and some of the programming constructs can be documented or driven through languages such as Python, Perl, and shell scripting, but they have their proprietary language, which may not be very user-friendly.
I would particularly like it to integrate with the Symantec portfolio and the Carbon Black portfolio.
It would be useful to have more AI features.
If LogicMonitor looks into going beyond the topology-based correlation to include AI that can group related alerts from different parts of the stack into a single probable cause incident, that will significantly improve the system.
The container monitoring seems to be really behind compared to some bespoke cloud-native monitoring solutions that are designed around Kubernetes, containers, and ephemeral environments.
LogicMonitor can be improved by having more meetings with customers to find out what they really need.

Setup Cost

DX NetOps pricing offers cost-effective annual subscriptions with all features, competitive with IBM and Micro Focus, including support.
LogicMonitor provides competitive pricing and strong value with scalability and premium features, though potentially costly for smaller organizations.
The licensing cost of DX NetOps is expensive, not very affordable, and on the top of the price range in the market.
I think the pricing is expensive.
I experienced no issues with pricing, setup cost, and licensing; it was very transparent, and the licensing model is very clear and easy to understand.

Valuable Features

DX NetOps offers superior network analysis, scalability, AI functionality, and ServiceNow integration, ensuring efficient monitoring across hybrid environments.
LogicMonitor offers customizable dashboards, flexible alerting, integration, automation, and proactive alerts for enhanced system monitoring and insights.
The best features I've seen so far with DX NetOps are that it can work with large scale systems, and it has a lot of functionalities and matrices.
The product features include automation through AI, allowing out-of-the-box analysis of performance data, building baseline trends, and enabling configuration of dynamic thresholds relative to collected data.
DX NetOps network monitoring and fault tolerance are the absolute best in the market, especially for the Indian market.
The dynamic alerting and root cause analysis have helped us fix issues before they cause a full-blown outage or degrade performance for end users.
LogicMonitor has expanded our view of our systems and has reduced our mean time to resolution, as now engineers that work on specific issues are able to very quickly identify what the cause is.
I wrote a custom event source which queries the API periodically. It looks for new entries into our cage, and if it finds one, it creates a LogicMonitor alert that gets delivered to all proper stakeholders.

Featured Reviews

Mark Tukh - PeerSpot reviewer
Leverages comprehensive network monitoring and AI-driven automation for enhanced performance analysis
There is a model for network traffic analysis in the NetOps product called NetOps Flow Analyzer. It provides all the necessary protocols and analysis. DX NetOps supports network monitoring across hybrid environments, though I hope it works out of the box. The product features include automation through AI, allowing out-of-the-box analysis of performance data, building baseline trends, and enabling configuration of dynamic thresholds relative to collected data.
Maxwell Miya - PeerSpot reviewer
Has improved service reliability and reduced downtime by providing full visibility into infrastructure
I wish the user interface would be customizable to allow users to create personal context-specific workspaces to hide irrelevant data, rather than trying to have a one-size-fits-all interface. This would go a long way, as would introducing a usage-based pricing model for data ingestion, per GB of metrics or logs alongside a device-based model similar to New Relic, which would be more attractive for cloud-native companies with dynamic infrastructure. While dynamic alerting is great, the overall alerting system can be complex to configure. If LogicMonitor looks into going beyond the topology-based correlation to include AI that can group related alerts from different parts of the stack into a single probable cause incident, that will significantly improve the system.
