We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution is very easy to use. All you have to do is to assign the license to the end-user and it's done. The customer will only have the feature activated, and the solution will monitor the emails to determine if they are a threat or not.""The risk level notifications are most valuable. We get to know what kind of intrusion or attack is there, and we can fix a problem on time.""The two main features that prove most beneficial for us are URL scanning and attachment scanning.""The initial setup was easy.""The most valuable feature is the integration. It's a single console, so we don't have to switch around between multiple products. Another valuable feature is the ease of operations and maintenance.""The basic features are okay and I'm satisfied with the Defender.""Defender enables us to secure all 365-related activity from a single place. It gives us visibility into everything happening in Outlook, protecting us against phishing and other email-based threats. Defender helps us detect any suspicious behaviors.""The deployment capability is a great feature."

"This solution is easy to use.""Secure Email Threat Defense's scalability is good.""The ability to see east-west traffic is its most valuable feature. Traditionally, email defense focuses on north-south, inbound-outbound, egress-ingress traffic. With Cisco Secure Email Cloud Mailbox, it's able to quickly identify, track, tag, and categorize emails that are internal. That can typically give us visibility into if there's an internal compromised account (for example). Someone can then use that internal compromised account to email additional accounts with either malicious software or links, but internal within that Office tenant. Effectively, that email message never leaves the tenant. Any of the mail gateways really do not have any method or way of seeing this traffic since it's not leaving the environment.""The features and functionalities are much better than Microsoft's in-built Defender plan.""Cisco has a threat mechanism called cloud-based Talos, where all the threats are inbuilt.""It has an efficient email filtering feature.""It's very easy to deploy and configure.""On ease of use, it rates very high. It's something that I was able to get into without really looking at any documentation. I wanted to see what it felt like before I started looking at any documentation on how to use it, and it was very easy to use. It works very smoothly. The user experience is very intuitive. They did an amazing job on that."

"Microsoft EOP's most valuable feature is a shared mailbox.""The most valuable feature of Microsoft Exchange Online Protection is the accidental release of information protection capabilities. Additionally, the solution is easy to use.""The initial setup is just a standard process.""In general, my company is happy with Microsoft support...My company hasn't faced any stability issues with the solution.""We can migrate seamlessly without any disruptions to our operations.""The most valuable feature is the ease of administration. Other solutions require complex administration, but Microsoft Exchange Online Protection is easier.""It provides security to both on-premises and Azure infrastructures.""The pre-set policies and configuration analyzer are the most valuable features."

Cons
"The XDR dashboard has room for improvement.""Microsoft security solutions work as expected. They are constantly updating the solutions to make them better. At the same time, the changes can impact a customer's environment, and we need to adjust settings. Sometimes we aren't aware of the changes, and nothing is pushed from the backend automatically.""The certification training for Defender for 365 needs to be deeper and incorporate Sentinel. I took all the security courses except one, and Sentinel isn't included.""This product's effectiveness could be improved, in terms of detecting unwanted spam or even malware between the emails, compared to other products.""There is room for improvement in terms of reporting.""Microsoft should provide more documentation for users so they can self-educate. I would like to see more documentation for advanced security features.""It would be better if it were more scalable. It depends on the architecture, but we would like to make it more scalable for both data centers.""Microsoft Defender for Office 365 could improve by giving customers information on techniques to prevent threats. For example, information about best practices on how to protect their own devices against hackers and scammers, such as educational information or training. This would help others have a better understanding of cyber security. Additionally, there can be more security features added."

More Microsoft Defender for Office 365 Cons →

"The pricing could always be better.""We encounter issues while searching for missing emails.""Customers will benefit greatly from monthly billing because the majority of customers today use the cloud, be it Office 365, or Google Cloud.""The tool gives false positives and it needs to be more accurate. I would like to see AI as a new feature.""There is still room for improvement in terms of integrations with other Cisco tools and non-Cisco tools. There is also some room for improvement needed in terms of the reporting.""From a technical point of view, Cisco is far behind in terms of cybersecurity, and it has to improve very much.""Cisco Secure Email Cloud Mailbox can improve by adding advanced phishing, then the solution would become the best in the market. However, this could increase the price even more. Additionally, if CES with domain protection could be added it would be an even better solution.""The search area has room for improvement. When you go to the next page, it remains at the bottom of the current page that you're on. Also, under the reports section, it allows you to see any "convictions," but if you want to search for those convictions you have to remember when they all came in and go back and edit the search accordingly. You cannot click on the list of convictions to actually see if you had a spike at a certain time."

More Cisco Secure Email Threat Defense Cons →

"We would like the solution to have more in-built intelligence in the way that it reviews potential security risks, rather than our team constantly having to update the policies.""Microsoft has some training portals, but more could be developed.""When you're using a Microsoft product solution, you can scale it, but if you're not, there are limitations.""It wasn't easy or intuitive enough for me to start using it. So, the reason was that the solution changed.""I would like to get reports about vulnerable connections from our clients with information about domains, public IPs, etc. That would be highly useful.""Online Protection has an issue in that it doesn't provide an option to stop impersonation.""Performance and speed should continue to be improved.""The solution needs to improve its backup."
