Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Automation has streamlined client data extraction and has improved reporting for business decisions
I work as a developer, and my manager is responsible for the research and analytics for the project with the client and business users. I am satisfied with BotFarm. I would rate my experience with BotFarm an eight out of ten. I do not see any room for improvement for BotFarm. I am using AI tools such as Amazon, Microsoft Azure, and ChatGPT. I am not using AI-powered bots in BotFarm. I am a partner with Automation Anywhere.

Increases productivity with automation and robust orchestration capabilities
The community is very powerful, with extensive knowledge bases available. There are ready-made workflows, integration with other products, a nice user interface, and reporting. The tool is flexible, agent-based or agentless. It allows significant automation and has robust orchestration and reporting capabilities. It is easy to configure and use, leading to increased efficiency across our IT processes.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"With the help of Automation Anywhere, we are able to upload 10k documents in 1 to 4 working hours which is a great achievement for us."
"Document automation has impacted efficiency and productivity because initially, we tried training the module on multiple unstructured documents, which resulted in less efficiency, but over time, we have trained with multiple documents, and it is now achieving great accuracy."
"The most valuable feature of the product is the flexibility, as there are so many features that you can use to develop, and it can hit a lot of use cases."
"AA has improved our digital strategy extensively and provided the required leverage to place ourselves above other peers in the O&G Industry. We were able to develop quick digital solutions by demonstrating the ROI and gain momentum by aligning the desired resources & budget from leadership."
"The benefits include a reduction in tedious tasks and manual handling of tasks and time savings."
"We have a plethora of good use cases saving good, hard dollars."
"Automation Anywhere offers better value and is more effective for organizations seeking cost-effective solutions."
"The tutorials that are available from Automation Anywhere are very helpful for newbies to learn the platform and get going with the tool."
"The solution is easy to use and easy to apply."
"The initial setup is pretty straightforward."
"The solution is very manageable."
"The record option and the OCR technology have been great."
"The solution has a lot of great features inside of it that clients can take advantage of."
"Technical support is really good; when we have had issues, they have been able to help us and gave us several solutions based on the challenges that we were facing."
"Now, we have standardized responses, and our customers are getting better, error-free, and on-time responses."
"One of the advantages of Automation Anywhere is that the Bot Insight feature is built-in."
"It has reduced the time taken to go to market. In the past, we were struggling with building these integrations, but now the process has sped up and there is an added advantage of quick delivery. In addition, it is an agent-less solution, which provides more flexibility in terms of multiple options."
"Time savings with automation. We've gone from weeks to deploy systems to minutes."
"In my environment, if I want to shut down all tools in one shot, I can create a workflow and run the workflow to shut down all tools in one go."
"The product is good functionality-wise. I am impressed with the tool's flexibility in customization."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the sustainability and the simplicity around the usage."
"It’s saved 100’s of man hours monthly."
"This solution basically does everything that we need it to do."
"The automation, hands down, is the future of our company and the direction we're going in, letting us deploy servers in 15 minutes instead of two weeks and even embed monitoring into that same automated service for a huge benefit."

Cons

"You could improve the tools for reading CSV/Excel, also providing wizards or detailed guides, otherwise, it is quite complex to use them, especially at the beginning."
"The solution should include an analytics dashboard. As the space is maturing, many vendors sell functionalities as separate components so this is not unique to the solution."
"Compared to other RPA tools, the UI of Automation Anywhere is not that great and is not that easy to pick up for people, which takes more time for a newbie."
"One key feature for improvement I have been providing feedback on through the MVP program is enhancing natural language conversation to action. The Automation Anywhere product team is actively putting this feature into their roadmap, which I believe is crucial."
"The version that I used (10.3) was not that stable. It easily crashed in-between processes."
"When we try to process structured documents but with some little pen marks, improper partitions, or faded documents, IQ Bot fails to extract data properly out of them."
"What I am suggesting, when using A2019, if there are any additional features to exclude those antivirus scans until after my task is completed, then the antivirus can start scheduling. Then, I can easily tell the client that the priority are running and the Automation Anywhere scans can wait until after the release."
"We have had some quirkiness happen when integrating the Automation Anywhere with other solutions, such as weird Excel issues or temperamental legacy system issues."
"The solution is a bit higher on the pricing side."
"The OCR tool, the optical character recognition tool, could be more efficient."
"We do have some troubles with the internal software commands, but we have been troubleshooting this bug to fix it."
"The licensing schemes could be more competitive. They need to be much more flexible in their pricing."
"Overall the support and customer support areas need to be improved."
"One aspect that can be improved is the accessibility of reusable components for developers. It relates to role-based access and accessibility."
"Scalability is an area of improvement. We can increase the main features for our project but when we reached out to our personnel and asked whether Bot can be expanded, we were told "You cannot scale this Bot."
"The dashboard needs improvement. For Bot Farm, the visualization is not that good compared to the main Automation Anywhere dashboard."
"We have had some issues with memory usage, but that's something that we beefed up and made the system more robust."
"It takes a lot of resources to implement and support it, which is expensive."
"There were a lot of scalability issues that we initially faced. Whenever I tried to deploy 100-200 endpoints, it became a huge challenge. We had to actually start using other tools like Tivoli Endpoint Management in order to patch the issues."
"From 1 – 10 – I think HP is about a 4. Support can be slow and frustrating."
"Faster integration with different applications."
"The cost is very high compared to anything else available."
"The setup is a little bit complex, as the first time we needed some help from HPE support, but afterwards on repeating the process it became easier."
"We have used technical support and we've had our ups and downs with them."

"Licensing for Automation Anywhere (AA) is paid on a yearly basis. Out of all the RPA tools, it has the most value for money, e.g. what you pay is what you get."
