Enables management of multiple operating systems with a single license
The best feature is that it's a Microsoft product, so if anything goes wrong, we get quick support for anything required. Remote system functionality allows us to sit anywhere and take control of any device via remote management. We can enhance security for clients' laptops with built-in Microsoft Defender, which is available with the Microsoft Intune license. We use it for reporting purposes through endpoint analytics. When pushing scripting, there are two types available: remediation script and reservation script. Through endpoint analytics, you can push defender policies to clients. It helps with reporting, inventory updates, and monitoring tenant status health.

An affordable solution to control BlackBerry applications but has latency issues
The solution is complicated for new users. There are a lot of buttons on the first page. It can be very confusing if you’re not aware of the terms they use. For example, a button labelled ‘edit device’ doesn't explain exactly what it does or how to use it. Setup is difficult, time-consuming, and a lot of procedures are involved. There are latency issues on the application.

Centralized device control has increased remote security and simplified kiosk-based operations
The best features IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson offers include placing devices into kiosk mode, remote troubleshooting, and location tracking. Remote troubleshooting and location tracking have helped my team or my customers by enabling us to lock our company-issued tablets into kiosk mode, allowing us to resolve issues remotely and easily. It also allows location tracking so that we can lock a device or trace it when it's stolen. The user interface is very user-friendly and easy to customize. IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson has positively impacted my organization by enabling us to manage all our devices in one place, settle all the issues remotely through troubleshooting, and it allows the AI feature for reporting. Security analysis is also great, and for security strengthening, it allows us to deal with endpoints with integration on various types of platforms. I have been able to see measurable benefits such as getting more people on board who are working remotely, and it has enabled us the ability to access emails and chats. The system on the go is great, and the ability to run business on the go has proved to be very efficient and productive.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The main advantage is that Intune performs its intended functions effectively."
"We can securely manage both company-owned devices and personal devices enrolled in our BYOD program."
"It is a comprehensive security solution that not only controls access to enterprise resources but also tracks and prevents unauthorized access, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and preventing potential data loss scenarios."
"The stability is good."
"Microsoft Intune is far more efficient and faster than MECM."
"The ability to switch between Affinity and non-Affinity enrollment is great."
"One of the most valuable aspects of Microsoft Intune is its seamless integration with Azure Active Directory, offering capabilities akin to Group Policy Objects."
"With on-premises Active Directory, the main challenge was that we had no control when a user was working from home. We didn't know what exactly a user was doing and whether the AV was up to date or not. Intune provides better control of their machines."
"The solution has a lot of features, such as adding different applications and devices to one platform. This allowed us to manage many devices and applications from a single platform."
"IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson has positively impacted my organization by enabling us to manage all our devices in one place, settle all the issues remotely through troubleshooting, and it allows the AI feature for reporting."

Cons

"We would like to see support for Chrome and/or devices for Chromebooks."
"The technical support could be improved."
"I have not been satisfied with it, and I am planning to change it soon. There are a lot of updates coming from Microsoft that suddenly affect our security policies."
"Areas for improvement in Intune include expanding support beyond Samsung devices to accommodate other Android manufacturers like Redmi and Motorola."
"There are a few security features that are not available in Microsoft Intune, when compared to other products."
"My main pain point for Microsoft Intune is the contact part. Not all Android or iOS applications have access to integration, for example, contacts."
"We haven't really gone through all the features of Intune. We are just discovering them. Every day, we see a new feature that we want to apply, but what will be great for Intune is to be able to deploy apps in a simple fashion. We should be able to easily install various apps on the Windows platform, iOS, and Android. Currently, we have to write some scripts. It's not as straightforward as we would like it to be. It should be simplified so that we can do it just with three clicks—next, next, finish—without needing to write a script."
"There should be more predictability in the release cycle. We don't feel we have any control over when new updates come out, and whether there are changes to the backend functionality or to the user interface. Updates just happen."
"The solution is complicated for new users. There are a lot of buttons on the first page. It can be very confusing if you’re not aware of the terms they use. For example, a button labelled ‘edit device’ doesn't explain exactly what it does or how to use it."
"One area IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson can be improved is that once a device is lost, I have to continue to pay for the license, which should be looked upon and configured otherwise."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"This cost is approximately $30 USD per user per month."
"Microsoft Intune has a user-based subscription model. You can go for a monthly or a yearly payment."
"The pricing is competitive, but it is not cheap."
"It is expensive. The cost depends on the license that we choose."
"It is reasonable. When you have Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 license, it is already licensed in that license. So, you could say it is free."
"Intune is linked with Microsoft. We can deploy the Microsoft E365 license to users by Intune. There are different types of licenses, such as device administrator licenses, E5 licenses for device enrollment manually, and P1 and p2 licenses for device enrollment automatically. These are the licenses required for the administration."
"It's bundled with Business Premium and an E3 license, which is beneficial. If you have to pay extra, it's pricey, but with the bundled package, it's acceptable. They recently increased the Business Premium pricing, which we don't appreciate. The price increase and yearly commitment are causing some problems for us."
"Microsoft Intune's pricing is reasonable."
