We performed a comparison between BambooHR and Dayforce HCM based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Talent Management solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The HR metrics that this solution provides has been most useful. We also really like the fact that employees have the ability to be self sufficient and manage their own information."
"The performance goals and personal features of every employee with the dashboard is most valuable."
"We use this solution for our end to end HR needs from onboarding and hiring to learning."
"BambooHR is accessible to users who aren't good with technology. If you don't have an IT background, you can easily find information about any employee."
"I can easily go to BambooHR to search for any staff member in the company."
"The tool's most valuable features are the recruitment module, performance module, and document storage."
"The scalability of BambooHR is good."
"This is a scalable solution. We have not experienced any issues."
"Statutory holiday pay is calculated automatically."
"Ceridian Dayforce HCM is a stable product."
"It has created efficiencies in HR and Payroll by eliminating double entry into two systems, implementing a time clock feature for hourly employees, and by having a downloadable general ledger (G/L) constructing journal entering for payroll."
"The fact that the time and attendance system is built into the HRIS is very valuable because, in the past, we had to use two different systems."
"Great time and attendance payroll and benefits administration which has improved our efficiency."
"Employees like being able to see what entitlements/balances that they have for their time away."
"We like being able to hire from the Dayforce recruiting module straight into Dayforce and having the file feeds go to our benefits vendor."
"The implementation was through a team assigned to us by Ceridian. They were extremely knowledgeable and it made the implementation go very smoothly."
"It would be good to include more options for approvals and workflows. They are deliberately not the most sophisticated version of anything that they do, but it is like 80/20. They hit the vast majority of all the needs, but I have started to run up against the limits of their functionality. It has forced me to start paying attention to the marketplace or sending feedback to BambooHR. Clients are still happy though. Timesheets is a new area in which they're slowly expanding. It is currently very limited, but it meets the needs of standard nine-to-five salary employees who just want to be able to key in their time, have it approved, and then pushed off to payroll. It does not have any of the bells and whistles that an hourly employee or hourly worker might need. That is one area that is currently limited, but they have integrations with some of the best companies that do that."
"I would like to be able to export some documents into PDFs a little easier. Right now, only HR can update the training record and as you scale your company, managing the system can be manual and time consuming."
"BambooHR needs to have more flexibility around performance management."
"There are some issues with the job tab under my info where you add the salary."
"It would be useful to have the possibility to assign a task to the different users within the software."
"If you are dealing with two or more businesses under one company name, it is not possible to transfer employees between companies if they have a separate bamboo set up."
"BambooHR could be improved by managing leave in a way that transfers remaining days at the end of the annual year to the following year."
"The color palettes could be changed to make the solution a little more attractive and easier to use."
"Management and reporting of the GL costing could be improved."
"An area for improvement could be a little more testing before implementing hotfixes to make sure they do not interfere with any active customized products."
"The solution's initial setup was difficult. Also, the solution's initial deployment took around six months."
"Many things are presented as though they will be included with the system but then require costly upgrades."
"I would like to see more built-in forms. This would save a lot of time during the year-end process."
"I would also like to see some improvement in standard reports. A standard report should be available to pull the required information for Affirmative Action Plans. I do not think I should have to build or create one."
"One area to be improved is the solution's reporting function, which can be cumbersome."
"It would be nice if retro pay calculations were made automatically for salaried payroll, so a calculation and manual entry do not have to be done."
