Accommodates diverse use cases and effectively meets customer requirements
AI agents need further improvements. AI agent technology in agentic process automation is still evolving. We have only scratched the surface, and there are many potential use cases yet to be explored. As technology advances, I believe it will enable us to implement more comprehensive automation solutions. Document Automation has issues related to speed. When I compare Document Automation with IQ Bot, IQ Bot is faster than Document Automation. My understanding is that they are still evolving Document Automation, and this issue of slowness will be resolved in the upcoming .35 version, so we are good with that. They are working on signature identification and validations for handwritten documents. Currently, we are able to extract data out of scanned but digital images, but there is still scope for improvement for handwritten documents.

Works well, but its interface should be a bit more user-friendly
We use it for our process flows and levels of approvals, but I am not managing it directly Its performance, stability, and security are fine. Its interface should be a bit more user-friendly. I have been using this solution for close to a year. It is stable. It is easy to scale. We currently…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is easy to use for non-technical people, with a simple drag-and-drop interface, so they don't need to be technically savvy to automate their processes."
"The product is easy to use. It is a good tool for developers and business users."
"One of the most valuable features is the different possibilities it gives you to manipulate the interface screens that you're working with."
"On the server-side, multiple developers working on a single project can save their individual works and have them stored in a single repository."
"What I appreciate most about Automation Anywhere is the ease of use. Everything is easy to set up. I also appreciate the extensibility that it has."
"The best feature is the Capture action. If we want to capture the whole process, we can do it in a single shot."
"The ease of use of getting started is probably the big thing. They had a lot of references that we were able to check. It is a well-known player, and being able to get up and running quickly was the big thing."
"It frees individuals up from mundane tasks so they can concentrate on being more active and creative other things that they need to do."
"Its performance, stability, and security are fine."
"What I like most is the seamlessness of the workflow capabilities."

Cons

"We are having trouble creating a reliable and stable situation in our environment."
"We've struggled with some of the new features Automation Anywhere added in the latest version. For example, they added a new OpenAI package, but it took a while for me to find it in the actions menu."
"Not all data is good quality. This presents a challenge for automation, which is important."
"We have found that the passwords are not very stable in terms of their accuracy. We could only get 70 percent accuracy in these cases. Our clients require more accurate results. We are working toward this."
"We do not have the AI Agent Studio feature of Automation Anywhere available yet in our government GCC environment."
"They are working on scalability, but I'm expecting them maybe a faster pace for the thing already in place. They need to improve the extraction and accuracy. It's a sort of a journey that we started with a few fears that may end up with a 100 or 200 fears. These are our expectations from IQ Bot. We are quite hopeful that a future release will solve this problem."
"Several competing products now offer superior functionality compared to Automation Anywhere's current capabilities."
"There should be a meeting between the Automation Anywhere team and the end-users to understand whether the process can be made to work on the first attempt."
"This solution only supports basic text, but we would like to be able to insert components such as rich text, graphs, charts, pictures, and other objects."
"Its interface should be a bit more user-friendly."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I think the solution's pricing is reasonable."
"It is not cheap, but we are able to get an ROI."
"They are already coming out with a community license, which is really good. That's something that I wish to have."
"The pricing model can be a bit more flexible."
"The Community Edition is a good offering from the company."
"Automation Anywhere is affordable."
"One of the things that will be good for the community will be to get the free version to download, which came out just a month ago called Community Edition. So, you can actually download it and try it for yourself."
"My only suggestion in terms of pricing is very generic and that is to consider that as much as RPA saves cost and does automation, please get a realistic estimation done on whether you are really achieving any ROI over your investment with RPA."
"We have a yearly license."
