Custom Reporting and One-Click reports are valuable features for Benefits Administration
The Custom Reporting and One-Click reports, because I work in the field of Benefits Administration It can offer Benefit Admin as a value add to our current payroll services. The system will timeout and not allow access, on occasion, which can really be problematic for our current framework. The…

PeopleSoft is affordable for existing customers only, not for new customers. The popularity is declining for several reasons. Resources are moving to cloud solutions such as Workday cloud. Even though it is the same Oracle environment, professionals are transitioning due to challenges in availability, scalability, and resource allocation. When there are limited hiring opportunities for a particular technology, professionals must consider switching technologies either internally within their organization or personally. If a project ends and someone is placed on bench without new opportunities, they often need to switch to technologies with more market demand. Currently, resources are frequently moving to other ERP systems such as Workday, SAP, Mulesoft, and Salesforce, as there are numerous ERP systems in the marketplace.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The Custom Reporting and One-Click reports, because I work in the field of Benefits Administration."
"The support I have received from PeopleSoft has been excellent."
"Customer Service: Excellent, since Oracle support is always available."
"It is a customizable product; we can customize it based on our needs, which is one of the features that I like about PeopleSoft, and as far as financial accounting is concerned, the user interface is very good and you can also configure Chart of Accounts for all performance insights."
"The customizations allow us to come up with a lot of complex labor rules; in the Philippines, there are many different kinds of rules you need to be in compliance with, and the solution offers a lot of flexibility and customization that is perfect for our region's requirements."
"The breadcrumb approach to navigation in PeopleSoft is good. nVision is also a good supplement."
"What I like is that we can have multiple web services created and multiple consumers can use them together without any interruption or downtime."
"I would recommend the solution. It's very stable and scalable, which makes it a reliable solution."
"PeopleSoft is well integrated and has excellent tools to enhance or amend according to business practices."

Cons

"The system will timeout and not allow access, on occasion, which can really be problematic for our current framework."
"Services that need improvement include PeopleSoft Query, Pivot Grids, and PeopleSoft Test Framework."
"The solution could have better processes and automation, or features that allow for a paperless environment."
"There are some small things I'd like changing, but the big thing that needs work is their technical support."
"The biggest disadvantage with things like PeopleSoft is that they do continuous support and fixes and upgrades. You get to choose when you want to implement that upgrade. However, in order to keep up, you have to upgrade."
"The support is medium quality through the Oracle support portal. It's neither exceptionally good nor particularly bad."
"It needs a better interface on the financial side because there have been more improvements to the RMS interface than the financial one."
"The product is not intuitive, and finding the right candidate can be arduous."
"The biggest disadvantage with things like PeopleSoft is that they do continuous support and fixes and upgrades."
