Have faced limitations due to integration complexity but have processed documents efficiently and reduced manual effort
Bedrock is basically a framework that can manage multiple large language models. Another useful tool is Amazon Textract which extracts text from documents. It helps with compliance because Amazon Textract itself doesn't store anything. When hundreds of documents are uploaded in an S3 bucket, the S3 bucket will store the documents, but Amazon Textract itself doesn't store anything. It pulls the contents of the documents and then passes them on to the next system, making it compliant. It helps in a great way by reducing the load on LLM and reducing the cost.

Cloud platform orchestrates business processes with AI capabilities
I find the capabilities that a normal orchestrator should have to be valuable in WorkFusion. The WorkFusion 10 cloud-based platform is different from the earlier on-prem version, WorkFusion 9. The platform now includes auto machine learning and AI capabilities. We haven't used these extensively, but they are a nice feature they are working on. The platform remains stable with well-designed processes, despite being a complex and technical tool.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Amazon Textract is superior because it has features that allow you to use analytics or intelligent automation with the OCR; it will automatically identify key and value pairs, so you can use the data easily."
"In a project, I integrated Amazon Textract with Bedrock and passed the extracted document text to the LLM using Bedrock."
"With the help of Amazon Textract, we are reducing labor and manpower because with just one API call, we can get all the extracted information with its coordinates."
"Amazon Textract is superior because it has features that allow you to use analytics or intelligent automation with the OCR; it will automatically identify key and value pairs, so you can use the data easily."
"Amazon Textract was easy to use."
"The support is actually very good; I've worked with Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, but compared to the others, AWS support is excellent."
"The tool itself is easy. I started using it without really having any coding experience... After just a few clicks, it was doing reconciliations for me."
"For automating mundane activities, I can recommend WorkFusion."
"A helpful feature is the analytics capability within WorkFusion. The analytics dashboards, i.e., their Tableau dashboards, are really helpful for building a business activity monitoring layer. These are very visible to senior management and stakeholders, who can see and know what is happening within processes. They can see what benefits are getting delivered as processes, either ;daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly. It is easy for stakeholders or senior management to understand the value for the money that they are spending."
"We need to analyze documents in order to understand them. We don't need to dedicate much time to this because WorkFusion's machine learning capabilities are very good. We can easily extract information and classify these documents. The document processing engine is very important to our organization because it is the center for many use cases, as we need to control the information contained in documents."
"If you compare it to its competitors in the market, it is more Java-native."
"It is useful that WorkFusion provides the entire infrastructure, which allows me to focus on writing code without worrying about maintenance."
"The cognitive features of this solution are good."
"The dashboard is the solution's most valuable feature. When clients want to look at the data it's very easy for them to do so. The dashboard for the IT manager is very useful if there are issues and to create and follow processes."

Cons

"The product has not given correct results for me. It was not accurate, especially with handwritten items and documents with pencil marks, which Amazon Textract failed to identify correctly."
"They should provide an offline solution because in many areas in India and outside, there are clients facing Internet issues."
"Some easy integration with other systems could be improved."
"They should provide an offline solution because in many areas in India and outside, there are clients facing Internet issues."
"Sometimes the tabular data does not process properly for complex tabular structures or complex tables."
"Some easy integration with other systems could be improved."
"It is difficult for non-technical users to use WorkFusion. If we really want to build automation, we definitely need Java developers. Their RPA is not for non-technical people. If I look at competing products, like Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Blue Prism, or even Power Automate, a non-technical person can build basic automations and deploy them. Since non-technical people can easily build basic automations, they can be deployed in no time. With WorkFusion, there isn't a similar feature that works well. One needs to write code from scratch to build automation. That is definitely a deterrent if we really want to do quick, dirty automation. I would not rate WorkFusion very high on their no-code, low-code paradigm. In this area, I would definitely expect them to improve."
"So far, we have developed only one automation using machine learning. The results were less than optimal. Part of this could be because of the use case that was selected. Overall, our experience was suboptimal. WorkFusion was an outstanding partner in terms of providing their experts for free to help us on that particular use case, but we still have a lot of things to figure out in terms of how to use its machine learning capability."
"A better graphical user interface that allows business users to perform automation would make this solution number one in the market."
"The user experience could be better both from an RPA perspective and from a business perspective."
"If we're talking from a developer perspective, the task of actually building automation is not ideal. That's not their strong side."
"There is enhanced functionality I would like to see, things that would further enhance the user experience, deliver greater efficiencies, and further mitigate risk."
"There could be better version control through their web platform. That is something that could be improved on. Integration from the IDE, e.g., from WorkFusion Studio directly into Control Tower, would be nice to have too."
"I would rate the stability as four out of ten. I frequently face issues with infrastructure and some WorkFusion-related problems, such as login issues."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"We are on an annual contract to use the solution."
"Find it online."
"The solution was not the cheapest, but it was also not the most expensive. Workfusion was very open to negotiating pricing and to working within the objectives of our firm."
"We have a good deal from WorkFusion. We have an unlimited global licensing deal with WorkFusion. For us, it is a no-worry solution. We can go ahead and use it as much as possible anywhere we need it. If WorkFusion has a different kind of a deal for licensing with others, then their business decisions need to be evaluated based on that."
"As a first-time customer who wants to engage with WorkFusion, not working for my company, then I would want to do a PoC. The cost is prohibitive because they will ask me to get infrastructure with six or seven servers. Then, you must buy a WorkFusion license to do a PoC, which is expensive. I would then have to set up a team to build the PoC and see the benefits. That is very prohibitive."
"It is not the most expensive solution, but it is also not the cheapest."
"In addition to the licensing fee, there is also an implementation cost for each use case and technical support costs."
"The pricing is fair because WorkFusion's out-of-the-box solution is appealing."
