If you want to manage Office 365 and any SAML authentication to secure your access with multi-factor authentication, you can go for Workspace ONE Access.

If you want a VDI solution, you can go for the Horizon VDI solution to reduce your purchase costs. If you don't want to spend money, you can buy a VDI solution, which is secure, and you can deploy any VDI machine and any virtual application through Horizon.

In UEM, the most helpful part of Windows Management is the baseline policy and central script; using this, you can replace all the AD GPO policy. You can deploy any kind of policy for Windows devices, and this is the main component of the UEM for Windows management.

The Workspace ONE UEM interface is very easy to understand; there are not many doubts regarding configuration and providing use cases, so it's good.

In our company, we use two versions of VMware Workspace ONE, one is the SaaS version on the cloud and another version. Most of the customers of our organization are using the solution to manage their devices, including mobiles, laptops, and similar devices. VMware Workspace ONE also provides our company's customers a tunnel access to corporate resources. 

The single sign-on feature, which integrates with the Identity Manager is one of the most vital features. The VMware Workspace ONE Tunnel is another crucial aspect of the solution. 

Authentication processes become seamless with the single sign-on feature of VMware Workspace ONE. Whether the application resides within the premises or outside, the users don't need to reenter the credentials, VMware Workspace ONE auto authenticates using scripts.

The solution can also integrate the app catalog with the Intelligent Hub, which acts as the agent. Applications catalogs and similar aspects can be accessed through one single interface, whether it's from an Android, iOS, or Windows device. It's a very user-friendly tool in terms of accessibility. 

VMware Identity Manager is a part of VMware Horizon, which is utilized to manage users. I was previously an employee of VMware. I continued using products from VMware, even in HP, Accops, and Novel.

Personally, VMware Identity Manager is useful for comparison purposes so that I can provide better solutions to my company's customers.

Feature-wise, VMware Identity Manager is not a good product but can definitely be considered an average product. Though VMware claims that VMware Identity Manager is an IAM solution, it is just 50 percent of what an IAM product delivers.

The advantages of VMware Identity Manager can be experienced if one uses VMware Horizon.

I use the solution in my company since we have some applications running on it.

From an improvement perspective, there is a need for discounts to be offered by the solution since it is something that any organization can expect from the product.

I use VMware Workspace ONE for client and device management. This includes managing mobile devices and laptops.

The Client Control feature in VMware Workspace ONE is most valuable for managing client devices, including mobile devices and laptops. Another impactful feature is the per-service tooling, allowing access to the data centre on a per-application basis. We use the complete VMware stack, integrating Horizon for application delivery and Carbon Black for endpoint protection. We have outsourced our device management, which streamlines our IT tasks as our supplier handles them competitively.

The product enables us to access our internal applications through any device from anywhere.

It's a very good technology. If I’m in Saudi Arabia today and in the USA tomorrow, I can access our internal applications without any downtime. I can access our office application through mobile phones, laptops, or other personal devices. People suffered losses during COVID-19. The product enables us to access our internal applications from anywhere in the world.

VMware Workspace ONE facilitates application management on mobile devices.

Moreover, VMware is not limited to mobile devices; it's also used for Windows 10, 11, and Mac management. 

We've actually started engaging with that. Among the large deals involving 20,000 to 25,000 users, we're working on that one, like putting different backbone issues together.

Workspace ONE has improved our remote productivity very much. I would rate it a nine out of ten, with ten being very productive. 

We've seen that user productivity has increased because users get their laptops or desktops compliant and enabled with the right software, system joining, and compliance, all within a few hours, not two days anymore. That's the experience we've seen in customers.

We've configured single sign-on for two or three enterprise customers, and it works very well. Complications arise when customers use third-party identity providers like Okta. Then, the integrations become slightly complicated, and we need to understand the separate SSO solutions to handle that. 

But for customers without third-party SSO, it's straightforward. Otherwise, we need to assess compatibility.

The user policy enforcement in Workspace ONE has helped in maintaining compliance within the organization. It can meet the compliance requirements on a systematic and visibility perspective. It's very high compared to traditional solutions.

Due to limited access, we have limited access control.We are using VMware Workspace ONE mainly for access control. Actually, as per our requirements, the product provider offers us conditional access. I think no other product provides this type of criteria. That's why we are using it.

Customer support needs improvement. Many times, when we encounter an issue, it takes a lot of time for the support team to connect with us and resolve the issue. Sometimes, it may take more than one week to resolve any issue.
