I want to go through the survey questions about the product, Samsung Knox. It's a very good product that any organization can use to help manage their devices. Organizations can manage a large number of devices, approximately 100,000 devices or more. There is no downtime. Whenever I have used Samsung Knox as a product, I haven't faced any downtime, and they are very supportive and good at providing support.

Everything about the features is good, but there is one drawback. They only propose this solution for Samsung devices. Other MDM platforms offer their services on any OEM devices, but Samsung Knox only proposes their solution for Samsung devices. That's the main limitation.

In terms of areas where they could improve, if they provided solutions for every OEM, similar to what every other MDM platform is doing, that would be beneficial.

For example, products such as InTune and MobileIron have no limitations. They support both iOS devices and Android devices. However, Samsung Knox specifically targets Samsung devices only. If they develop a solution that supports everything, along with the selling of devices and the product, they could achieve more business.

Samsung Knox does not require any maintenance on my end.

I have been using Samsung Knox for 2.6 years.

The installation part for the initial deployment is good. For DEP enrollment, they add the serial number into the Knox ABM portal (Knox Business Manager portal), and the user needs to perform a factory reset of the device. For non-DEP enrollment, users need to install Samsung Knox Manage. Users can provide credentials or use alternative methods such as Android enrollment or QR code scanning to enroll the device.

The performance is very good. The main drawback is that they need to expand this product beyond Samsung devices to include every device.

In terms of scalability, it's properly good. The fine-tuning capabilities are all present.

The quality of support and response time are good. I have worked as technical support for some cases. Anyone who thoroughly knows Samsung Knox can provide support at any time, anywhere.

I have used alternatives to Samsung Knox. I have worked with SOTI, InTune, Ivanti, and AirWatch.

For out-of-the-box enrollment where the organization provides devices to users for self-connection, only one or two team members are needed. However, if the organization needs to enroll devices before distributing them to users, the team size depends on the number of devices. For instance, with 200,000 devices, approximately 50 people would be needed to complete the deployment within one to two weeks. The entire process depends on the device's internet connectivity.

I have used some alternatives.

For the bank sector, pharmaceuticals companies, and financial services, our customers use Samsung Knox, and some use cases are in-house applications for loan. I assess the impact of Samsung Knox's multi-layer security for Android devices on our organization's data protection efforts as excellent because we recently won a security forces project in Pakistan. Deploying on-site servers on-premises ensures that the security layer is effective, with no breaches occurring when Samsung Knox MDM is installed on devices. I manage through the MSP portal around 15 customers in Pakistan, with around 8,000 to 10,000 fully managed devices, as BYOD platforms are not used in this region.

The main benefits that our customers see from using Samsung Knox are that sales efficiency is significantly improved because all devices are controlled from one window. IT admins can easily manage in-house applications, allowing sales teams to go to market efficiently; important documentation gets delivered much faster. Before using Samsung Knox, the sales force team waited up to 15 days for brochures and printed materials, but now they can send documents immediately within a minute.

Samsung Knox has very seamless integration capabilities for deployment; we easily upload devices through the KME, Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment. Once the device is opened, it enrolls without hesitation and shows up in the portal.

The integration with our existing IT infrastructure has made device configuration and management very easy and user-friendly.

The mobile enrollment feature, Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment, has positively affected the deployment process, allowing for easier management and policy application through the Knox Suite portal; I can easily carry out manual enrollment through an APK token.

Samsung Knox is a very secure platform in MDM, and customers mostly prefer Samsung devices. The MDM part is selected by customers due to the perfect security at both the software and hardware level. I evaluate the technical support for Samsung Knox as being consistently at 9 to 10, where 10 is the best.

Every quarter, improvement is very important in Samsung Knox, as I receive many notifications regarding new features, updates, and user interface changes during our quarterly meetings with the technical team in Jordan, England, and Singapore.

I consider pricing in comparison to competitors as an area to focus on.

If Samsung Knox offered lower pricing, it would be even better, as other MDM solutions have notably high prices.

Improvements could be made for features such as data services, which do not work properly with devices not manufactured by Samsung, although they do function well with Samsung devices.

With my 8 to 9 years of experience with Samsung Knox beginning from Knox Premium, I advise other organizations that Samsung Knox is the best platform for MDM device solutions.

I escalate technical questions to Samsung tech support as we investigate issues with customers; sometimes we involve level three support from our team in Jordan, which connects directly with Korea headquarters to resolve queries.

I work internally within our company for technical support, although we sometimes have a key account manager from the UK assist us.

I have not worked with other technologies apart from Samsung Knox, but I have migrated customers from Soti to Samsung Knox and one bank from ManageEngine to Samsung Knox after a year of use.

I have experience with InTune as I am also an administrator for Microsoft 365, though I mostly support ManageEngine and Soti users in Pakistan. I only used InTune for a month while assisting a UK customer and found Samsung Knox provides better overall security and efficiency.

Today, I attended multiple meetings to promote Samsung Knox. I advise customers to ensure their license quantity before negotiating pricing, reinforcing that Samsung Knox is the best MDM platform.

Our customers, particularly those in bottling companies such as Coke and Pepsi, see significant ROI from the Samsung Knox solution, improving sales efficiency by 70 to 80% since its adoption.

Regarding pricing, setup cost is crucial in our region. Companies buy Samsung Knox for both security and efficiency purposes, although some compare its pricing to other MDMs such as ManageEngine, Soti, and InTune. However, most customers now prefer Samsung Knox due to its secure platform reputation.

If Samsung Knox offered lower pricing, it would be even better, as other MDM solutions have notably high prices.

I rate Samsung Knox as 10 out of 10.

I use both deployment models of Samsung Knox; recently we deployed an on-site SDS version in Islamabad, and I primarily utilize the cloud system, which is the first time a server has been deployed on-premises in Pakistan. While discussing room for improvement, I consider pricing in comparison to competitors as an area to focus on.

For connections and integrations, Samsung Knox can be integrated with Azure and Microsoft 365 for Active Directory.

Predominantly, I use Samsung Knox at an enterprise level. Many enterprise customers require a hardened security endpoint device. Typically, it starts with a Samsung Knox device, but they also want secure enrollment into MDM products. Samsung Knox has developed over time to allow over-the-air updates to devices without end-user intervention, and they have their own MDM product as well.

The key benefits of Samsung Knox include its secure and user-friendly nature straight out of the box, giving enterprise customers security assurance. A specific feature, Knox E-FOTA One, allows forced firmware updates over the air without end-user intervention, which can be scheduled to occur during off-hours. Additionally, the Knox Secure Folder sandboxes both personal and work data, ensuring corporate data does not mix with personal data. The integration capabilities allow for seamless integration with the customer's MDM product set, providing access to the Knox Suite ecosystem. These features allow compliance with industry regulations, crucial as enterprises move toward a cloud-based, zero-trust security model.

I recommend that Samsung Knox continue to build on its existing API capabilities to integrate with other products.

I have been working with Samsung Knox products since 2017.

My experience with the deployment of the solution was very straightforward.

There have been no performance or stability issues. Samsung uses both AWS and Azure, which ensures the system is always up and running.

I think Samsung Knox is very scalable.

I have direct support with some of the Samsung colleagues. From an enterprise level, the support is business-to-business, tailored, and escalates to the relevant resources to get support all the way to resolution.

In terms of implementation, the initial step is to understand the user base and personas followed by strategizing the devices these users would get. Based on that, the policies are set within the Knox Suite, applications are prepared, and then a deployment strategy is created. After a pilot, a full rollout is conducted.

My experience is that Samsung Knox has a competitive price point, cheaper than its peers.

I have experience with Intune, Workspace ONE, SOTI, Jamf, and other solutions.

I recommend Samsung Knox at an enterprise level, especially for organizations using Samsung devices. It provides end-to-end device security. Enterprise customers can manage devices effectively, knowing they maintain control over company assets. In comparison, Samsung Knox's ecosystem is at a lower price point than its competitors, though Samsung could improve marketing for greater clarity on their capabilities. Overall, I would rate the solution as a 10.

Samsung Knox is a console which helps Samsung devices, such as tablets and phones. Samsung Knox is a console which does not have granularity support similar to other MDM platforms, but it is mainly used to update Samsung devices or for zero-touch enrollment procedures.

When working for an organization or purchasing devices for employees, licenses can be purchased in Samsung Knox. For security purposes, Samsung Knox is effective. Through Samsung Knox, a reseller can be added. When the reseller purchases any device, they will directly add those serial numbers into Samsung Knox. Once that serial number is entered into Samsung Knox, those serial numbers can be configured in such a way that users and employees who try to enroll the device will have a seamless zero-touch experience.

Users don't have to select multiple options in the device to enroll. For this feature, Samsung Knox can be used. When looking for high-end customization, app deployment, or enhanced security, MDM consoles such as AirWatch, InTune, MDM MobileIron, or multiple tools available in the market may be needed.

Samsung Knox is doing excellent work with its current offerings. For instance, Samsung Knox can be directly integrated with the MDM console. Additionally, users can seamlessly monitor security patch updates and push the patches. The status of a device can be known instantly, including information about how many devices are using which OS and which need updates. Campaigns can be run to update those OS patches.

All the features Samsung Knox provides work seamlessly. The zero-touch feature also works seamlessly. While other consoles perform these functions for their particular products, Samsung Knox is performing exceptionally well in the market.

Profile customization needs improvement. Samsung Knox currently has some intelligence features, but there are limitations in this console. It can only work with Samsung devices because the granular support is lacking and needs time to incorporate all these features.

For instance, it does not support Windows or several other devices. This limitation exists because Samsung Knox is specifically designed for Samsung devices. The future plans are uncertain. However, what Samsung Knox currently offers is good, and other consoles can support the features that Samsung Knox lacks.

The solution has been in use for three years.

There is no downtime with Samsung Knox.

The support service rates six out of ten because when personally reaching out to support, they are not quick enough. It is necessary to reach out to their TAM, who is their manager and point of contact, to get an answer. The response rate from the Samsung team is very slow.

When planning to buy Samsung Knox, this should be discussed with them to get better support through licenses. With more licenses, they may acknowledge requests and provide better support. Otherwise, they are very slow in nature.

The reviewer has worked with InTune and Workspace ONE AirWatch.

Integration is required first. Samsung Knox needs to be configured initially. Once configured for the first time, the process becomes simplified. For example, in our client's case, they ship Samsung Galaxy devices directly to employees.

When the end user receives the device, they simply open the box and attempt to enroll by entering their username and password. No additional steps are required beyond that. There are very few questions asked. Once authentication is completed, the user can proceed without selecting many options.

The system directly logs in, and the user receives apps pushed by the console. It is also integrated from the MDM. Certain apps are pushed to employees for their use. This ensures the work profile remains secure.

For example, MDM was used as Workspace ONE. Through the EMM console, Samsung Knox was integrated with the API key and password account. Once integrated, it becomes a one-time process. Annually, the password may need to be changed and updated in Samsung Knox. Otherwise, it remains a one-time process.

After integration with MDM, all devices get synced with MDM and vice versa. MDM devices also sync with Samsung Knox. The integration proceeds this way, and profiles can be created for processes such as zero-touch enrollment. Zero touch is implemented when clients need to enroll their employees seamlessly. Multiple other enrollment methods are also available.

One client uses industrial devices, which requires a completely different enrollment process. These devices enroll through MDM without syncing with Samsung Knox, but patches are pushed through Samsung Knox. Apps are pushed through MDM, such as EFOTA to update patches. The integration is very good without issues. If issues arise, the support team in the backend can be contacted through a ticket system, and they will respond.

Cost savings are evident. This console is dependent on other MDMs as well. Regarding Samsung Knox specifically, it saves time in terms of patching and similar tasks. It provides good dashboards for understanding and quality metrics.

The return on investment is approximately 80%. The remaining 20% represents limitations because certain features are not available in Samsung Knox, which other consoles capitalize on in their marketing.

The pricing information is unavailable as the client handled the purchasing of licenses directly. It appears to be relatively economical, which may have influenced the client's decision to purchase it.

There are significant differences between Workspace ONE and Samsung EFOTA. Workspace ONE has been established in the market for an extended period. Its best feature is the ability to support multiple device types without limitations.

It supports Windows, Linux, iOS, Mac, and various Android brands. Workspace ONE has no limitations regarding the types of devices it can manage. Additionally, InTune offers conditional access and co-management. Both AirWatch and MDM have MAM policy capabilities. Apps can be pushed without enrolling a device in Workspace ONE. These are the primary features, with multiple sublayers of features available. The complete documentation should be consulted as EMM includes various policies and enrollment types.

The majority of clients use cloud-based solutions, though some utilize on-premises technology. Some clients also use Workspace ONE for on-premises deployment.

For customers planning to use Samsung devices, Samsung Knox is the necessary choice. With different types of Android devices, other consoles should be considered. Zero Touch is another option to examine.

For clients exclusively using Samsung devices, Samsung Knox is the optimal tool rather than Zero Touch. For devices such as Honeywell, Zebra, or other Android brands such as Xiaomi, Lenovo, or HCL, other market tools are available, including Zero Touch. It is advisable to evaluate other consoles before making a decision, as they might offer more benefits for certain brands.

I use this solution for my clients, for different businesses such as transport, editorials, hospitals, and ambulances.

Samsung Knox helps to manage work profiles in my case because all the devices are managed and protected through encryption. The devices are encrypted with a password and assigned to different organizations or groups depending on the department. For example, the chief's department has different applications and permissions than the marketing department. We can apply different security measures to different departments.

I appreciate Samsung Knox because I have all solutions in one portal, including Knox Manage, Knox Configure, Enrollment, and E-FOTA. Samsung Knox is particularly valuable because I can manage not only Samsung devices but also Xiaomi, Huawei, and other Android devices. Additionally, I can create GPOs with Windows.

The integration of Samsung Knox is straightforward because we can enroll devices across all types of Android devices, including Xiaomi, Samsung, Huawei, and TCL. You can enroll with the IMEI for Samsung devices or use a command with Google Play to enroll Knox Manage and apply all policies. Through the Windows Store, you can install Knox Manage and manage Windows devices similar to using GPOs in Windows or InTune, but at a lower cost.

Samsung Knox helps manage work profiles in my case because all devices are managed and protected through encryption. The devices are encrypted with a password and assigned to different organizations or groups depending on the department.

I would appreciate improved management capabilities for iPhones. Currently, there are some possibilities, but they are not as comprehensive as with Android. Samsung Knox needs to enhance its iPhone management features in the future.

There are some possibilities to manage iPhones, but we cannot utilize all the capabilities of Samsung Knox with iPhones. There are high policies for iPhone, but we can only achieve 50% of what we can do with Android devices.

I have been working with Samsung Knox for six years.

I have data points to share regarding the ROI. For example, we have one important customer, Cambridge University Press in Madrid, which is part of Cambridge University. The minimum ROI is two or 300 per year.

My advice for users looking into implementing Samsung Knox in their organization is that Samsung Knox is essential because you can centrally manage all your devices, including Android devices, iPhones, and Windows devices. In one platform, you can have all your company's devices at an affordable price. You will improve your security with GPOs and different policies, which is crucial in these times when we need to secure all communications, software, and various components against hackers.

The main differences between Samsung Knox and InTune include both advantages and disadvantages. The primary disadvantage is that it's not totally integrated with the Microsoft environment. However, there are numerous advantages. The license cost is very important because this MDM can perform practically the same functions as InTune. The capabilities are superior because InTune cannot configure all features Samsung Knox can. Knox Configure can apply wallpapers, change boot icons, or personalize all aspects of the devices. Knox Enrollment allows device configuration in five minutes using the IMEI. This reduces costs by reducing time spent on configuration, as you can have an entire device ready for the final employee with just three clicks.

On a scale of 1-10, I rate Samsung Knox a 10 out of 10.

I am a consultant who has implemented Samsung Knox products for our clients.

I work with a medical device client who manages their primary Android devices through Samsung Knox and Workspace ONE, but I cannot share customer detail.

Currently, we primarily work with the Samsung Knox suites, including Knox KME and E-FOTA, along with other solutions.

The mobile enrollment services are the main reason why we use Samsung Knox E-FOTA to control firmware updates we push to our devices for better application compatibility, in addition to Knox KME, mobile enrollment, E-FOTA, and Knox Configure being the three primary Samsung Knox products we use.

Samsung Knox has good support for data protection, especially when using devices for profile installations, firmware updates, or configuration suites, as they are all data protected with a double layer of protection using our own MDM server alongside Samsung Knox services.

For work profiles, we primarily manage devices through Samsung Knox Configure and mobile enrollment services, allowing users to not go through setup processes and receive all necessary profiles, including company branding during their first phone activation.

They have good partnerships with major OEMs and EMMs partners such as Microsoft InTune and Workspace ONE, and the integration from the server side to take devices directly from Samsung Knox and our MDM solution has quite good support.

We face challenges with the application launcher when testing firmware versions, especially for kiosk mode. There are conflicts between One UI and our customized launcher, and the ability to schedule updates for future dates with Knox E-FOTA could be enhanced.

I have been working with Samsung Knox for almost two years, as I am about to complete two years in my role.

The initial setup of Samsung Knox does take some time to get used to, especially with a learning curve for IT administrators during the first time setup for E-FOTA and KME solutions.

From a stability point of view, Samsung Knox generally has low downtime with some issues around mobile updates causing slight delays in users receiving updates, but overall it is pretty good.

From the scalability point of view, once the initial setup and current profiling for Samsung Knox E-FOTA solutions are ready, it does not present a large challenge to scale up as more licenses can be procured.

From the technical support perspective, they offer multiple levels of support tiers, and currently, we work with mid-tier support where one dedicated person assists our organization, though sometimes there is a slight delay in their response.

I would rate the technical support around seven out of ten.

Earlier we had some on-premise solutions, but currently, all services are hosted on the cloud.

Most of our Android devices feedback is quite good, especially when firmware locked devices require specific firmware updates or when utilizing kiosk mode for single application use, showing that Samsung Knox has been useful for us.

I am not heavily involved with the pricing, but for Samsung devices, I find it to be competitively priced against other solutions.

On a scale of 1-10, I rate Samsung Knox an 8 out of 10.

One of the use cases occurred in Kerala, India at a large educational institution where they train students for JEE and NEET entrance exams. We deployed around 1,700 tablets that had Samsung Knox licenses. When students entered the campus premises, there were restrictions over camera usage and other features, and the education content would start working.

We faced multiple issues when pushing configuration profiles and policies through Samsung Knox. The students were cracking the entire system. When we put it into kiosk mode or restricted certain features, they found loopholes to bypass it. The R&D team of Samsung in Karnataka, Bangalore, and I worked for one to two months on this particular issue and product. After we figured out a solution and resolved the issue, another issue emerged, requiring another two months to address.

I have experience using Samsung Knox as part of an organization where we are distributors and resellers of Samsung, Dell, Lenovo, Apple, and HP. We also sell NVIDIA, Unity, and various other products.

Samsung Knox functions as a UEM (User Endpoint Management). For IT professionals, certain features help save time. We enable IT professionals and technical teams of organizations by training them, handling deployments, and assisting with troubleshooting when needed.

There are other products in the market that are superior to Samsung Knox. When comparing Samsung Knox with JAMF, ScaleFusion, Hexnode, or JumpCloud, the deployment process is more complicated. Their zero-touch deployment works seamlessly on Apple devices, but with Samsung devices, five or six extra steps are required.

Regarding product pricing in India, Samsung Knox faces competition from ScaleFusion and Hexnode. These brands sell their licenses at very low prices. Samsung Knox was initially expensive and hard to sell, but the APAC or EMEA team understood this issue and has now become more aggressive with pricing.

The large deployment had multiple issues that required collaboration with the Samsung R&D team to resolve tickets. These issues continue to occur.

The scalability of Samsung Knox faces challenges in the Indian market. In the B2B sector, the UEM market is shrinking after its peak during COVID. Companies are opting for cheaper products that simply configure devices and provide remote access. Only about 10% of companies want a BYOD system, as in India, employees typically receive laptops. Even large multinational companies are moving to lower-rated products, making it difficult to position Samsung Knox.

In India, customer support is primarily handled by Samsung's R&D team or partners who resolve issues for users.

The multi-layered security for Android devices is not unique to Samsung Knox, as there are other OEMs that provide similar solutions. There are specific use cases and targeted customers where we can successfully sell these products. Despite minor issues, which all OEM UEMs experience, we continue to promote Samsung Knox in appropriate situations.

We are looking into SOTI Mobile Control to use this for our customers. We mainly have customers in healthcare, such as hospitals and care houses, where we integrate Samsung Knox for their care devices.

Samsung Knox's complete product offerings and the free for one-year Knox Suite licenses for Enterprise Editions are very interesting for our customers. This has been beneficial in offering a comprehensive solution to our clientele.

One portal for all the features and the remote support capability in Samsung Knox is highly valued. The enterprise editions and the free Knox Suite licenses for one year are also beneficial.

There is always room for improvement. Features like private DNS would be very useful if pushed through Knox Manage. 

We've raised this with Samsung, and it is on their roadmap. 

Also, there is an issue with the assignment of licenses where Knox Asset Intelligence and Knox Management sometimes deploy on different licenses. We've discussed this with Samsung for potential improvement.

This function has been used for five years now, and we have been a Samsung managed service provider, a premium partner, for two and a half years.

The solution is stable, but there is room for improvement in license assignment. However, this does not severely affect the overall stability.

The scalability is perfect, with flexibility in using monthly based licenses, allowing easy scaling up and down.

My experience with Samsung support is very positive. They react mainly within the same day when a ticket is submitted. We also have meetings every two weeks to discuss open tickets.

The initial setup is straightforward. It's very easy to do and involves just a few clicks.

Samsung Knox is not expensive. The free one-year license with the Enterprise Edition makes Samsung Knox very interesting for our customers.

We have looked into other solutions like SOTI MobileControl and MobileIron. While they have a focus on managing multiple types of devices including Apple, Windows, macOS, and Linux, Samsung Knox provides a comprehensive offering for Samsung devices.

There's always room for improvement in mobile device management solutions to make work easier. AI could be useful in the future if implemented correctly.

My customers use Samsung Knox because they use Samsung devices due to their ease of use and specific features. Samsung Knox is primarily tailored for Samsung devices, and it supports various use cases, including user hierarchy for factory reset and endpoint protection.

Samsung Knox helps our organization by offering specific features that support a seamless integration with Samsung devices, ensuring effective endpoint management and support for our customers.

The most valuable feature of Samsung Knox is the endpoint protection it offers. Users have the ability to perform a factory reset without the need for a hard reset, which is very beneficial.

Samsung Knox needs to expand customer features across all devices, not just Samsung devices. It would be beneficial to enhance the UI for more comprehensive use across various brands.

I have been working with Samsung Knox for around two years.

Samsung Knox is generally stable. Before running a project, we conduct tests and ensure quality measures are in place with our partners, which has minimized issues.

Samsung Knox is scalable. We manage over ten thousand users who are primarily enterprise customers.

I have minimal experience with Samsung Knox's technical support as I have not needed to contact them frequently.

We use Samsung Knox for enterprises, managing devices given to employees. Recently, we used it for animation when a company required a thousand tablets for their customers. We installed a boot animation so customers receiving the tablet would see an advertisement for that company.

We use Samsung Knox for management. We appreciate its quick response and easy configurations.

As a reseller organization, we provide support to customers regarding Samsung Knox. Specifically, we provide MDM solutions for organizations and support them.

It is quite easy to configure. On the customer side, we have not received any complaints regarding the balancing of work and personal profiles.

The deployment and configuration process is quite easy.

It is responsive and quick. When we raised a ticket, we received a response within one or two hours. The experience was good.

Most customers buy new tablets and expect zero touch. We complete the process from the back end and provide them with the steps. Customers only need to turn on the device and connect to Wi-Fi. All configurations and enrollment processes are zero touch. We do not face any difficulties in this.

I cannot differentiate them because their use frameworks are different. Apple devices have different requirements and Android has different requirements. Both are good in their respective places. There is no comparison.

We also use JAMF for macOS devices and iOS devices.

Recently, a customer had a requirement for a boot animation where their company logo should appear. We were not capable of doing this without enrolling the device into Samsung Knox. After discussing with the Samsung team, we learned that enrollment was necessary for the animation. However, the customer, a building company, did not want the devices enrolled in any organization because these tablets were gifts for their customers who purchased new properties. They wanted the animation to appear only once when customers turned on the tablet.

We developed a solution where devices would be enrolled in their company's zero touch for one month. After that period, they would remove the devices so customers could use them as normal devices.

I have not noticed any complaints from customers as everything is taken care of. All requirements are available in Samsung Knox.

Based on my experience and understanding, Samsung Knox is quite good, user-friendly, and top-notch. I would rate it nine out of ten.
