MSP360 Backup Reviews

We are a managed service provider that's migrating more into cybersecurity, and I knew I needed a backup solution. I evaluated different backup solutions and needed something more robust. I evaluated MSP360 because it came recommended through one of my community groups.

I have a lot of experience working with OneDrive and G-Suite for nonprofits. They often have data on both personal and corporate OneDrive accounts and the ability to back up consumer cloud drives, such as OneDrive and Google Drive is the most valuable feature.

Our company handled post migrations and used the solution as a daily monitoring tool to obtain licenses, conduct backups, and service users. 

The MSP is easy to access and handles things efficiently. 

We use the platform for VM and SQL backup purposes.

MSP360 Backup's most valuable feature is its backup interface.

The most valuable feature of MSP360 Backup is its reliability.

The restore time could improve. When we had an issue the restore time was lengthy.

We are a small industry specializing in backup services for micro enterprises. These are organizations that have between 1 to 20 devices. About 95% of our clients have on-premises deployments. The backup agent is installed on the client's premises, but the backup target is the storage in the cloud.

One massive advantage of this solution, as compared to more enterprise products, is that no firewall changes are needed on the client's premises. For the product to back up from the client's premise to the cloud, it just needs port 8 and port 443, which are anyway always open. This was one of the things that made us decide to go with the product. It is very difficult to justify a firewall change for a small client who doesn't even know what a firewall is and how to maintain a firewall, or doesn't have anybody maintaining their firewall. You then have to maintain the firewall. MSP360 Backup takes away firewall change requirements, VPNs, or channels that are needed for the backup.

I primarily use MSP360 as an additional backup that pushes data to the cloud.

The best feature is that it's very user-friendly to do scheduled backups and version maintenance. It's also very useful that we can configure and push updates to multiple servers using a single license.

I'm a system engineer and we have implemented MSP360 Backup for a few customers. 

We have a complete setup for a few customers where they are integrated in our portal. We are using the cloud solution from MSP360 at the moment, not the standalone product.

The most valuable feature for me is that I can see what has has been successfully backed up and what has not. It's very valuable because you don't have to check the machines. The second feature is that you can change backup settings in the portal.

The UI is pretty good. It's very simple. That is one thing that we like about this. It's very user-friendly.

There are some things that we don't like about it. That is why I was exploring alternatives in a hyper-scale environment. That is why I was checking IT Central Station.

We are in the process of moving away from this solution.

The RPO for any backup is higher when compared to the product that we are looking at. And it does not have very good scalability option. Whereas the product that we are looking at has full scalability. The product that we are looking at is in the hyper-scale environment.
