Low-code integrations have automated workflows and save time across enterprise applications
They can enhance the error handling and debugging part. Troubleshooting complex pipeline failures can be time-consuming. We are spending a lot of time on error handling. More detailed error messages and root cause analysis tools can be added, which will definitely improve the developer experience. In the Ultra real-time integrations, we can monitor the last execution history of only 100 runs. That can be increased, which would be one of the platform improvements that can really be taken. However, they are doing very well because lots of ChatGPTs and AI assistants have been added in the last two years, which makes a very good effect. SnapLogic is the only platform that provides this kind of visibility to the developers. Anyone, even if they have low experience and are starting their IT careers, can directly jump in and learn SnapLogic. The documentation is very easy to learn. Anyone, even a layman, can refer to that documentation and go through its Snap-pack to understand what configuration has to be done to use this Snap-pack. This makes SnapLogic definitely exceptional in the market. You won't find such comprehensive documentation in other iPaaS tools. The draggable packs truly demonstrate its power in usability. Governance and security are also well in place in SnapLogic, but there are areas for improvement. They can add more granular role and permission controls that provide greater flexibility for large enterprises. For example, if you have to provide access to 70 users in one shot, that can be improved. More improvements in policy enforcement capabilities are possible as well. SnapLogic can improve the data lineage part to achieve better end-to-end visibility into data movement. Also, during validation, we can only see up to 2,000 records currently. They can increase that from 2,000 to 20,000. They can put more visibility on costs and resource visibility, with better reporting on platform usage, processing consumption, and cost optimization opportunities.

Has streamlined API documentation and integration workflows across cross-functional teams
Documenting SwaggerHub has a standard and consistent structure of API definitions, and it automatically generates interactive documentation which helps the developers to understand everything. There are certain areas where SwaggerHub can go beyond here as formatting options for documentation pages are restricted, and the import and export options of API collections are complex in SwaggerHub. It provides various collaboration tools where we can work and do it. The strong validation against the API maintains conformity and reduces errors. That part is very great in SwaggerHub. Overall, scalability and stability-wise, it varies high compared to the competitors, but there are still certain areas where competitors are providing various customizations. SwaggerHub can understand those aspects and implement them as well. The complex import and export of API calls and collaborations can be challenging in SwaggerHub. If they can make it easier for us, that would be great. Their performance is degraded if there is too much load on the API. The customization and doc formatting options for documentation pages are restricted in SwaggerHub. A few of my teammates have complained that they find the UI unintuitive where it requires multiple clicks for simple tasks. SwaggerHub is a great tool, but these limitations can be addressed to make things better and easier.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"SnapLogic is a great platform for establishing integrations among various systems or patterns by using any kind of interface. If something is not supported by predefined snaps – snaps are connectors in SnapLogic – you can create them (custom snaps) or write a script."
"The solution is easy to implement and easy to use. It's basically just drag and drop."
"An important tool for building prototypes and MVPs than can seamlessly turn into production jobs"
"I found SnapLogic valuable and what I found most valuable about it was its ETL feature."
"SnapLogic is a robust, scalable, and user-friendly platform that has helped us to reduce development time, automate many business processes, and support enterprise growth, especially with low-code, no-code capabilities and broader connector options, more than 600."
"The initial setup is very straightforward."
"What I found most valuable in SnapLogic is the ETL feature, particularly the Transform Snap Pack, for example, any kind of reading or writing on Transform Snaps. Other than that, all the third-party connectivity tools such as the SAP Snap Pack, Salesforce Snap Pack, Workday Snap Pack, even the ServiceNow Snap Pack, I find all those are pretty useful in SnapLogic."
"Due to this automation, I see better results compared to the manual ones because the logic I have added to the automation is more specific and more static."
"It is quite a useful tool. It is quite good with the validation of the spec. It works quite well in terms of errors and conformity to the OpenAPI standard. It is better than Visual Studio Code in terms of editing."
"SwaggerHub is helping with team collaboration, as all the people now know the link, they just go there and get the information they need, and it is really a documentation tool for sharing documentation information about the API we support."
"It is a stable solution."
"I rate the solution's stability a ten out of ten."
"The best feature that SwaggerHub offers is the collaboration capability that helps us the most across all of our teams, as we have a single API infrastructure but several teams working in different areas of these APIs."
"The scalability is endless."
"Normally, they publish their APIs on SwaggerHub for seamless integration with SmartBear and ReadyAPI, which allows us to perform detailed end-to-end automation testing."
"One of the best features of SwaggerHub is how it allows me to create APIs and control the evolution of APIs within an organization."

Cons

"That said, while the SnapLogic technical managers are very good, the support model isn't great and should improve."
"They can enhance the error handling and debugging part. Troubleshooting complex pipeline failures can be time-consuming."
"I am looking for more scheduling options. When it comes to scheduling, there are different tools in the market."
"From the HR point of view, or for HR tech, improvement is required. A couple of connectors are not working with all the relevant APIs, and there is always a restriction in terms of fetching the data."
"We'd like zero downtime in the future."
"I find the learning curve for complex transformations, the debugging experience, performance optimization visibility, cost for small teams, and version control and DevOps integration could be improved in SnapLogic."
"We'd like there to be more ways for users to get more comfortable and have more experience with the solution to make it easier to use."
"What could be improved in SnapLogic is that it was not capable in terms of processing a large number of datasets, but at that point, SnapLogic was evolving. It didn't give a lot of Snaps. I heard recently there are a lot of Snaps getting added and the solution was being enhanced, particularly to connect different data sources. When I was working with SnapLogic six months to one year back, I faced the issue of it not being capable of handling a huge volume of datasets or didn't have much of Snaps, and that was the drawback. If there is any large number of data sets, that's based on or depends on your configuration. If it is a huge volume of data, other traditional ETL tools such as Informatica and Talend can process millions and billions of records, while in SnapLogic, the Snaplex fails or it returns an error in terms of processing that huge volume of data. Informatica, Talend, or any other ETL tool can run for hours in terms of jobs, while SnapLogic jobs fail when the threshold is reached. SnapLogic isn't able to withstand processing, but I don't know if that's still an issue at present, because the solution is getting enhanced and it's been more than six months to one year since I last worked with SnapLogic. There are now a lot of Snaps getting added to the solution, and if it can overcome the limitations I mentioned, SnapLogic could be the go-to tool because currently, it's not being used as much in organizations. It's being used comparatively less compared to other retail tools."
"It has limited functionality...Unfortunately, some of its features are not what we need."
"The customization and doc formatting options for documentation pages are restricted in SwaggerHub."
"SwaggerHub can be improved since the API testing features are limited compared to Postman, and it is somewhat expensive for small teams as paid plans cost a lot."
"More integration and usability with the cloud microservices would be nice."
"The review process should be improved. There seem to be some gaps, at least for us, for the editing part because we would like to have a full request review mechanism. They support some comments, but it is really hard to manage those comments. We would like to use the full request. Therefore, we are now looking to integrate with repositories. It has integration with Bitbucket and GitHub, but we have some internal constraints, and we need to move some of the repositories to GitHub. Our source code is on-premise in Bitbucket, and it was a bit of a problem for us to integrate. Now we are transitioning our repositories to GitHub, and hopefully, we can enable the integration. This will probably solve the problem with the review and approval. Its customization should also be improved. There are limitations around the support for the developer portal. There should be more customization options for the website that you can use as a developer portal. Currently, it has only Swagger UI with minimal customization. You cannot actually add additional pages and documentation for explaining concepts and general things. That's why we have started to look around to see what other tools are doing. They should also allow tagging on the API. We would like to add some tagging on the API to reflect certain things. Currently, any metadata that you would like to have has to be a part of the spec. You cannot do anything else. It should also have support for Open API 3.1, which was released at the beginning of the year. It would be great to be able to switch to that."
"We have to use additional tools to test APIs."
"SwaggerHub's UI needs to be improved as it looks very old school."
"The scalability aspect of SwaggerHub can be improved. It becomes a bit unreliable when the load is increased and isn't up to par with expectations for scalability."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The license model is based on consumption."
"By scaling the solution incrementally the cost is controlled and more beneficial to the client."
"They have pricing/usage tiers that are easy to move up or down."
"The pricing is okay."
"When comparing it with solutions like Apigee or MuleSoft, it still offers better value."
"It is a higher initial cost than other easy-to-use integration apps."
"From the ROI perspective, the price is extremely high"
"SnapLogic's price is high compared to the other tools available in the market."
"It has a yearly subscription, but I am not sure."
"The tool is cheap."
