Centralized cloud security has improved DLP incident management and simplifies email protection
One major challenge is that downloading incidents during the investigation process takes a very long time, and this issue should be resolved. More customized columns and filtering options in incident review would be beneficial. File types should be included, such as file names along with file extensions, which are not currently available to my knowledge. Overall, Skyhigh Security is very good and just needs to improve in terms of the latency of downloading incidents.

Simplifies management by shifting from on-premises solutions to cloud-based
Depending on the complexity of your system, you might need additional help during implementation. Considerations such as whether you’re using federated Active Directory or on-premises Active Directory need to be addressed. While setting up a system can be quick, taking only ten minutes to get started, rolling it out for an enterprise requires careful planning. Ensuring you make the right configuration choices is crucial for a successful deployment. It depends on the size of your deployment. While you can handle the setup, larger deployments might require additional support to manage effectively. I rate the initial setup an eight out of ten, where one is difficult and ten is easy.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Skyhigh Security has positively impacted my organization by enabling us to discover the Shadow IT concept and identify unauthorized cloud applications or integrations, helping us maintain compliance and governance."
"We have gained a deep insight into our Shadow IT usage as well as the different activities involved in Office 365."
"Skyhigh performs well, and we can choose from virtual and hardware plans. We can deploy the ISO on as many virtual machines as possible and easily set up high availability on the web proxy. The location doesn't matter. The user at a site will always access the web proxy for that location. It's suitable for an organization distributed across multiple regions."
"I like the encrypted disk feature and the endpoint protection."
"The cloud security features are the most valuable."
"Skyhigh Security has impacted my organization positively because we could provide and roll out cloud services across all our users while protecting intellectual property."
"Good anti-virus filtering, URL categorization, and reporting capabilities."
"They were very, very aggressive in the market to get a new market share or to take over market share while other companies were being broken up."
"I would rate my experience with the initial setup an eight out of ten, where one is difficult, and ten is easy to set up. It was pretty straightforward."
"The product is easy to install and deploy on the cloud."
"This solution does not require much administration."

Cons

"It has many gaps, so I think some customers take three months and up to six months for the deployment of Skyhigh Security, and after the deployment, they use it for years."
"Regarding Skyhigh Security's AI capabilities, my experience shows it is still in a booming state or still scaling up, so it still needs improvement."
"Reports."
"Skyhigh Security can be improved, and the biggest problem they have is that they are still owned by private equity, which is a massive drain on them financially because of the debt burden that they share with their sister company, Trellix."
"Skyhigh Security, as a product, is excellent, but in terms of the right services and support, those are lagging very much, for example, in Trellix. From one hundred, its score has gone down to ten, so ten out of one hundred, otherwise, it's the number one product."
"The tool could improve flexibility with the creation of reports/querying data."
"The feature that we would like to have is a hybrid environment, including both cloud and on-premises."
"The virtual solution requires improvement."
"Symantec Cloud Secure Web Gateway can be improved by giving customers more ability to provide feedback on the categorization of websites and the site review portal."
"The product is cost-effective, considering its features, technology, and support services."
"Symantec support is not very good. It is now outsourcing a significant portion of its support desk functions to distributors, who are taking over some of the help desk responsibilities."
"WSS runs slowly sometimes, I would like for this to be looked into."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"This is an expensive product, although it is made for larger enterprises and not for small organizations."
"Skyhigh provided a FedRAMP solution, tokenization, a better shadow IT capability, and lower cost."
"They definitely charge a huge amount. All the security service providers charge a huge amount."
"The biggest thing to watch for is the difference in price per monitored user for the different API integrations."
"Pricing for Skyhigh Security is fine."
"The tool is not expensive."
"The solution's hardware is expensive."
"Some of our clients have a perpetual license and pay additional support yearly."
"The price is fixed and affordable."
