Dynamic templates have streamlined student and parent email campaigns and build consistent engagement
The activity log is a little slower at times, but that is probably just nitpicking an issue. Overall, in general, there are not really very difficult pain points. There are certain issues sometimes when we are trying to handle a very big campaign; we might end up having a little bit less reputation in terms of bounces or spam reports that get detected when we send out the emails. Apart from that, there is not anything that would become a significant pain point. If you don't really have an advanced subscription for SendGrid, it might take a while for you to reach the customer support.

It provides a mix of communication channels. I have never seen downtime.
It provides a great mix of communication channels We have a better process of customer engagement because of the better open rate of our marketing newsletters. It could have a little better usability to get started working with SendPulse, so people could onboard faster and start working faster.…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"SendGrid offers features that stand out for me, including that it is very easy to use, especially for a developer."
"They have pretty good support in terms of any issues."
"SendGrid provides the best analytics a competent postmaster needs."
"The API side of things is valuable. It is flexible enough to handle pretty much anything that needs to be done in an automated manner."
"They enable us to automate all the communication with our clients around commercial campaigns, marketing activities, and also during transactional tasks, basically, any transaction that happens on the account."
"White-listed mail which avoids spam on mail services like Gmail and Yahoo."
"SendGrid is a very good, reliable system for handling multiple or high-volume emails."
"SendGrid has positively impacted my organization by being a trusted partner for sending emails."
"We have a better process of customer engagement because of the better open rate of our marketing newsletters."
"Setup was very easy, really good platform."
"The email resend feature alone made this product worth the money."
"The drag-and-drop email builder is the most valuable feature."

Cons

"I would prefer an easy plugin for Linux mail installation."
"I forgot my password, and when I tried to log in, it indicated that a reset link was sent to my email, but I did not receive it."
"SendGrid is a great solution. I don't have any areas of improvement."
"They are backlogged on feature requests, which is a bit of a shame really."
"So, don't think that you could do anything with SendGrid on email matters."
"The documentation is not fine, so I believe the documentation needs to be improved."
"Maybe they could have a mobile application to give to admins, so they could see some insights related to the data."
"The biggest problem that we have faced is with the authentication during login. For certain people, SendGrid requires MFA, which is good as a security feature, but it doesn't always work in all geographies. We've got people and users who are based in Nigeria, and some of those people had real trouble logging into SendGrid because the MFA wouldn't send codes to people on their numbers. The security mechanism that they use for login doesn't work in all geographies."
"It could have a little better usability to get started working with SendPulse, so people could onboard faster and start working faster."
"I would like to see more integration with other apps and browsers."
"Would be great if deliverability % would be better."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"My company pays for SendGrid monthly, and though I cannot share the amount, my feedback is that the vendor should accept other modes of payment apart from a credit card."
"I use the essential plan which is $20 a month. After that, we use the pro which is $90 a month, and had all our costs bundled in."
"We are using the Advanced plan,10K. That is about $100 per month but sometimes we do go over the limit of the plan."
"The basic plan starts at €90 per month."
"Its cost can vary. It can go as low as $10 or $15 to $1,000 depending on how much you use it."
"The solution is relatively inexpensive."
