Good for digital marketing purposes, such as creating and managing email campaigns
Mailchimp could be more user-friendly for setting up WordPress websites. Some of the complex settings can be time-consuming to configure. So, setting up Mailchimp for WordPress websites can be time-consuming for an average user but not necessarily difficult. It's time-consuming, especially when adding custom code to email campaigns. It requires some experience and knowledge to do it effectively.

Saves server load by sending bulk email notifications efficiently
The best feature SendGrid offers is the ability to send multiple emails at the same time. The ability to send multiple emails at the same time helps my workflow and organization because I do not have to run a loop every time. Once I set all the emails in a comma separator, I can send them to multiple users without creating too much load on my server. SendGrid has positively impacted my organization by solving the notification problem. By using SendGrid, I can easily send notifications to users, and it is simple to use in my Node.js project. SendGrid has helped with notifications because when I send an email, the user knows who is sending it and they can revert back to our CRM team. That is positive for our business and organization.

Cons

"I don't have any issues with the service."
"Mailchimp could be more user-friendly for setting up WordPress websites. Some of the complex settings can be time-consuming to configure. So, setting up Mailchimp for WordPress websites can be time-consuming for an average user."
"The solution could be easier to use."
"The solution should improve its reporting feature. There should be more transparency around API development. At the moment, the clients are pushing custom API into the mail, so we don't have too much visibility regarding what endpoints they're pushing the data into."
"A standalone system for private servers would be ideal."
"It needs more formatting flexibility, such as the ability to wrap text around photos."
"They should make the solution more user-friendly."
"SendGrid has room for improvement in the UI/UX or dashboard usability for users. Another area for improvement in the tool is its conditional logic facilities. The response time of SendGrid technical support needs improvement."
"SendGrid is a great solution. I don't have any areas of improvement."
"The biggest problem that we have faced is with the authentication during login. For certain people, SendGrid requires MFA, which is good as a security feature, but it doesn't always work in all geographies. We've got people and users who are based in Nigeria, and some of those people had real trouble logging into SendGrid because the MFA wouldn't send codes to people on their numbers. The security mechanism that they use for login doesn't work in all geographies."
"Maybe they could have a mobile application to give to admins, so they could see some insights related to the data."
"The contact limit alerts need to be improved."
"The reporting part needs improvement."
"A long time ago, I may have had an issue, and I had to wait for support, which wasn't that helpful. However, that was a very long time ago. Overall, I've had a good experience."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I primarily use the free version, but sometimes, for specific client needs, we may have to purchase different versions or packages."
"MailChimp is affordable."
"My company pays for SendGrid monthly, and though I cannot share the amount, my feedback is that the vendor should accept other modes of payment apart from a credit card."
"Its cost can vary. It can go as low as $10 or $15 to $1,000 depending on how much you use it."
"We are using the Advanced plan,10K. That is about $100 per month but sometimes we do go over the limit of the plan."
"The solution is relatively inexpensive."
"I use the essential plan which is $20 a month. After that, we use the pro which is $90 a month, and had all our costs bundled in."
"The basic plan starts at €90 per month."
