Capably brings single source of truth to enterprise project portfolio management; provides consequential, flexible data display with effective visualization; integrated use of Agile, Kanban
Planisware helpfully distributes incremental updates on a quarterly schedule. Extent of the client base and collective user expectations push priority improvements into new versions and resolve rare technical glitches rapidly. What any single user or small client may earnestly request for increasing productivity may take years for development to start—unless one pays rather dearly for underwriting special services from Planisware’s offshore support group. Individual users, particularly those who suddenly lack affiliation with a paying client between jobs have been bottom priority in my experience. Service tickets don’t apply for this category of formerly active users. I recommend that Planisware provides formerly active users privilege of connectivity with Planisware “playground” environments that are periodically refreshed with a current release version. This new option would cultivate “hands on” proficiency in the overall Planisware user community.

Centralized project documents have improved remote collaboration but task workflows remain confusing
Regarding Procore Project Management's task scheduling feature for reducing project delays, I did not use the task management feature very much because it seemed difficult to set up. I did not care for the platform from a user-friendly perspective because I am more of a construction professional than a computer professional. Some of the features were hard to navigate through. I also found that true with some of the Whole Foods employees who were trying to use it. They were confused on how to approve things and get things completed in the task management. Additionally, some of the change order approval processes were unclear. They did not know how to approve them. When uploading a task, it was confusing to identify who was the approver of that document because the responsibility was doubled up. The task management section and the distribution list along with the project approval person designation were difficult and confusing to navigate through.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is performance-oriented and easily customized accordingly to many areas, such as performance KPI."
"It has an inbuilt BI tool, which can be compared to Power BI or Tableau."
"Planisware is a beautiful tool that is very efficient, clear, well-designed, and more robust than any I have used."
"Planisware's advanced reporting capabilities help the organization track project performance and align initiatives with organizational goals."
"I found Planisware really effective, and I appreciate it."
"Planisware has improved our project visibility, resource utilization, decision-making, and cost control, leading to higher efficiency and better alignment between business strategy and project execution."
"The positive impact I have seen from working with Planisware is due to its efficacy and speed; it has very few updates and is easy to use."
"Compared to other PPM tools, Planisware is more advanced."
"The coordination between the field and the office without the need to print or physically transport drawings is very valuable."
"The financial side of Procore Project Management is better."
"What I appreciate about using Procore Project Management is the convenience of putting everything in one location, where pictures, schedules, blueprints, drawings, change orders, and all documents are accessible in one platform."
"Other companies have been using it for years, and it is a very stable platform."

Cons

"The UI and UX of Planisware are not that advanced."
"Reporting out of PLW has been a definite weakness."
"The project dashboard feature worked perfectly for small to small-medium projects, but on a large scale, it was not flexible enough to handle a program-level dashboard."
"The reports should be improved because all companies now need reporting, and with tools such as Grafana or Tableau, Planisware needs to add interfaces for data lakes since all companies require this."
"More integration is needed with other kinds of products for better collaboration."
"Apart from that, I didn't see much benefit out of it."
"There are a lot of bugs, and the stability of the system has been a problem for a year and a half."
"The biggest con for Planisware is that if you are not a Planisware partner, you don't have access to their functions, making it difficult for beginners and new team members."
"It takes time to use it. It is not entirely intuitive, so there are areas for improvement."
"It would be nice if the tool can reduce its operational cost. It would make it more competitive."
"I did not care for the platform from a user-friendly perspective because I am more of a construction professional than a computer professional."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution could be less expensive and the cost of scaling is expensive too."
"There are training and certification costs."
"The solution is expensive and support is an extra cost. There are three license types to choose from, and we only pay for support and cloud services depending on our needs."
"The tool is cheap and I would rate it a ten out of ten."
