Facilitates complex data integration with ease and flexibility
It would be great if ODI could link the designer, mapping, and workflows in a more simplified manner, maybe in one combined interface. It would be excellent not to have to go into different areas to perform different activities but rather have a user-defined interface where we can configure a job, run it, monitor it, link packages, and link subprocesses all in one frame instead of having the designer separately, mapping separately, and monitoring and session management separately. With respect to data quality challenges, it would be great to give an option to fix data quality issues based on AI. Integrating AI with ODI that provides recommendations on how to fix those data quality issues after analyzing and profiling business data would be excellent. One of the main disadvantages of the Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) is that it sometimes takes a lot of resources when handling multiple jobs. The scalability and the ability to handle multiple workloads of several parallel ETL jobs could use improvement, and certain parallel threads should be added along with the ability to configure multiple jobs from the same data directory structure.

A cloud solution that has a lot of connectors, but it should provide better documentation and scenario-based samples
Smaller customers who want to integrate with other systems don't need too much in-house expertise in terms of technology. They can hire consultants who can implement this solution for them, and they don't have to maintain any infrastructure. For a smaller setup, it is a go-to integration system wherein they don't need a lot of expertise or infrastructure. The solution's UI is pretty intuitive and easy. It is good for smaller integration use cases. I think it would be a problem for bigger use cases. Overall, I rate TIBCO Scribe a six out of ten.

Data processing efficiency increases with workflow automation but could improve on handling high volume data
The most valuable feature of Workato is that billing is based on task actions; whatever actions we take on the Workato platform will determine the task consumption and billing for each workflow. More optimized workflows lead to less billing for clients. Furthermore, they have introduced a Copilot feature for automation, helping build recipes and code with simple prompts. Additionally, they are developing AI solutions for clients. These are some top features, along with various others implemented per client specifications, such as CICD implementation and runtime connection changes. The benefits of using Workato for our customers include automating business workflows and data integration. By addressing their manual efforts, which are time-consuming and prone to errors, Workato helps clients reduce costs while increasing productivity. We implement solutions that enable seamless data integration between different systems, minimizing time-consuming manual processes. A positive impact we see is cost reduction, as manual efforts are significantly lowered. For example, in production support teams, manual processes are streamlined through CICD implementation, allowing for a seamless integration of different environments with minimal errors and faster deployment.

Pros

"Due to this, the customer was able to get a deep-dive insight into their business performance across the south-east Asian logistics industry."
"The most valuable feature is that it's bundled with all the other Oracle products."
"My customers started to increase their ETL performance with great margins."
"The main benefits that Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) brings to the table include data quality, data completeness functionality, metadata management, and the reverse engineering feature, which allows integrating the metadata of diversified data sources with a single click."
"Scalability-wise, 12c is the best in its class."
"Once you get the hang of it, it's a pretty cool data integration tool."
"So far, this product has been the best option for our organization, with more features and integration capabilities than other solutions."
"The tool is declarative, and it only runs on the target staging databases, so I have full control over it and I can change the SQL that the tool generates."
"The most valuable feature of TIBCO Scribe is the connectors available to various products."
"Workato allows us to streamline our operations by replacing multiple legacy systems with a single integrated platform."
"Workato reduces total development time as it generates code seamlessly and integrates with SQL databases or APIs through configuration."
"With Workato, as soon as an invoice is put in our vendor management system, we sync it within two to three minutes, providing a real-time experience."
"The recipe-driven automation in Workato is very impressive; for the same client project, we extracted purchase orders from emails and pushed them into the file system, and the automation worked as expected without any issues with the Workato email connector."
"Their UI interface is very strong compared to other tools, allowing even non-coders to perform basic data transfers between systems effectively."
"The best feature of Workato that I especially appreciate is its low-code, no-code platform, enabling us to primarily use these methods even when client's requirements are atypical."
"Workato is less expensive and offers similar integration capabilities."
"The initial setup was very easy."

Cons

"ODI could improve the ease of use. There is a steep learning curve to use the solution."
"Although we're satisfied with its overall performance in terms of integrity, scalability, and usability, it could be improved by including a separate UI for viewing the session runs through the operator layer of ODI."
"ETL process registry solution is missing."
"The interface of ODI could be improved. For example, navigating and finding functions can be difficult."
"While integrating with a file, I faced an issue where I wanted output files, and I had used the text field limited quotations, but at the end of the file, there was a line breakage for the last column."
"The initial setup is complex, especially if you also have to install a console."
"I am personally satisfied with current version, however, I think they should be able to provide a feature where we can easily use a configuration tool for TFS, GIT etc."
"I rate it a seven out of 10 because there is room for growth because ODI is still new, in comparison to Informatica, which is a mature product."
"The solution should provide better documentation and scenario-based samples."
"Though I find the task-based usage in Workato challenging, requiring careful workflow design."
"The only minor drawback would be if there was a UI at the front of it, for apps and for a portal as well, it would make it really easy. It would be really useful if there were more apps capabilities."
"Lots of room for improvement to allow for discoverability of product features."
"I have observed some minor stability issues with Workato, particularly related to connectors failing occasionally and delays in report sending."
"The management dashboard in the solution is an area with shortcomings that needs improvement."
"One area for improvement is the CI/CD pipeline, which lacks a version control system similar to GitHub for easier deployment."
"It is tedious to make a tailor-fit function."
"There are areas of Workato that have room for improvement, and they continue to develop their AI capabilities."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the platform pricing as five out of ten."
"I have yet to determine the exact figure for Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) pricing, but it has lower pricing than Informatica."
"The solution is very expensive."
"The solution is expensive because of the model they use. The cost is for the license and for support."
"Per user, it is $900 USD per year, though they will give some discount. However, even a 60% to 70% of discount for each won't help us much. On top of that, there is the perpetual license you must pay at the outset."
"Being an ODI developer, I never had to pay for this product. I know that the pricing/licensing is not really low, but the product is really good."
"The Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) pricing isn't expensive, but it's not cheap, so it's in the middle. I'd rate the pricing as three out of five."
"There is a standard license to use the solution but there are other costs in addition, such as hardware and operating system."
Information not available
"Workato is an expensive solution."
"On a scale of one to ten, the pricing is around a six. We have a consumption model and the pricing is higher. If you are using any kind of ML-based approach, machine learning, or some advanced analytics, you may have to pay more."
"Speaking about price, I would say that it's market-related. Also, there are costs in addition to the standard license fees since different add-ons depend on what you require."
