Has migrated user mailboxes and collaboration data with minimal challenges
I'm currently working with On Demand Migration solution from Quest. I am providing feedback regarding my experience with On Demand Migration. I have used automated scheduling in On Demand Migration. I can run immediate migration or schedule it as per my convenience, but I have used the run immediately option because I needed it on an urgent basis. The effectiveness of On Demand Migration detailed reporting in managing migration progress is quite good, as there is a report option where I can see what migration got successfully completed, which failed, and even the problem ID and event ID, allowing me to troubleshoot easily on the demand portal. I have not explored the data filtering options. I have not explored data filtering for filtering the data. In terms of data security, we are using independent DLP for data protection in our organization. I have not explored features such as AI functionality or additional security aspects, as I have explored only On Demand Migration for mailbox, Teams chat, Teams channel, and OneDrive. For O365 to O365, it's a very good and easy tool, so I can recommend anyone using O365 to O365 tenant migration to go with On Demand Migration. My overall rating for this product is 9 out of 10.

One Identity Active Roles makes it easier to maintain a detailed auditing workflow
I want One Identity Active Roles to improve in the area of user interface, modernizing it to feel more like a SaaS tool and to have user-friendly navigation. I also want One Identity Active Roles to improve in their policy configuration area, which requires advanced expertise, and in the area of reporting, I want the reporting to be more basic, visible, and have the ability to export and customize options. The areas needing improvement for One Identity Active Roles include the reporting, the dashboard, and simple policy configuration. I would appreciate improvement in policy configuration and making the reporting system more basic for user interface usage.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's a one-stop shop for tenant-to-tenant migration, negating the requirement for various tooling and additional license costs."
"I don't think there's another tool in the market that covers the same scope that it covers."
"The solution supports multiple workloads. We've got Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure under the same place. It's really easy to see the progress in each of those areas. It's very important to have everything in one place. Otherwise, we'd have to use different platforms to handle different parts of the migration."
"We can see the issues that may come up during migration. We can handle multiple workloads using this since it connects with Microsoft 365."
"It's very easy to use. What I like is that if there is an error, for each task, I can find out what actually went wrong."
"We can easily and simply work out the cost for any migration work that is required with the licensing model."
"Overall, it's a very good tool, and if I require another migration in the future, I will definitely go with this tool only."
"The most valuable features of Quest On Demand Migration have been the M365 migration and Active Directory (AD) migration components."
"The solution is stable."
"Heavily Automates - it will automate the entire provisioning, re-provisioning, de-provisioning and undo-de-provisioning tasks Complete Audit Trail - it gives an audit trail for each and every activity Increase in accountability – various tasks can be enabled for approval."
"It gives us attribute-level control and the AD management features work very well."
"With the use of the sync service we were able to import information from multiple external systems and populate them within our space and leverage them for downstream systems."
"In comparison to native Active Directory tools, using Active Roles for delegation is so much better. It uses an access template and that makes it easy to see who can access what. In fact, you can do that for many objects as well."
"The access templates help set up granular permissions and the web portal to manage Active Directory."
"Having a tool to manage all changes to AD from a single pane of glass is awesome."
"One Identity Active Roles absolutely helps reduce identity-based breaches, making it very seamless for our user base to ensure that folks in specific positions have the least privileged access possible across our for-profit healthcare conglomerate with thirty states and over fifty community hospitals under a single Active Directory domain."

Cons

"Their support interface is not so great because you need to go through several links before you can raise the ticket. Sometimes the interface freezes up, and there is some downtime. They give us some notice. It says at the top of the interface that there will be scheduled maintenance in a given region or there is currently an outage. You can see upcoming downtime in the portal and plan accordingly."
"It's definitely the Microsoft Teams functionality that has a lot of aspects where improvements are needed. Microsoft 365 Groups are tightly connected to Teams and there are a lot of improvements needed there as well."
"They should introduce a module for migrating power automation for users."
"One of the things that can be included is automation. For the matching and the migration process, they could put in some automation. I'm only allowed about 25 users at a time. If it's a large tenant, it takes quite a while to put them in the batches. If there is enough automation into that, that'd be perfect."
"In terms of Microsoft Teams, the only disappointment for us has been how the chats are migrated. They just don't look exactly the same as they would if you were logging on as normal. Obviously, when it comes to the user experience, you want the look and feel of everything to be replicated identically, and chats is the only part of it that doesn't look identical. However, it's not a 'car crash.' It's a slight deviation from what people would expect."
"Quest On Demand Migration needs to simplify its migration with Microsoft."
"The granting of consent for doing the different tasks is confusing."
"In terms of Microsoft Teams, the only disappointment for us has been how the chats are migrated."
"There is always room to improve the user interface for increased clarity. I believe enhancements to the console are also necessary because it is more confusing than the web interface."
"In terms of improvement, it could be made even more user-friendly for administrators when they need to create new workflows and rulesets."
"I want One Identity Active Roles to improve in the area of user interface, modernizing it to feel more like a SaaS tool and to have user-friendly navigation."
"It's a fairly stable product but not perfectly reliable."
"I want One Identity Active Roles to improve in the area of user interface, modernizing it to feel more like a SaaS tool and to have user-friendly navigation."
"The user interface needs to be more modern and scalable."
"For mid-sized to small companies, I do not know if it would be that useful, considering the tool's purpose."
"When we add numerous domains, it becomes slow. With around 60 domains, attempting to add approximately 30 caused significant performance issues."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product had reasonable pricing until the beginning of this year. Now, the price is increased by 20%."
"I thought On Demand Migration would be more expensive. I'm pleased with the cost that was quoted."
"The solution is on the more expensive side, when you compare it not only to BitTitan but to other tools in the cloud market. Of course, you receive things like Quest's support organization."
"It is more than fair for what you get."
"The pricing is in line with other products."
"It is quite cheap. Previously, I used to work for a big company, and they get quite a good deal, and now, I'm working for a small company, and even they get quite a good deal. So, its pricing is quite fair."
"I find the pricing to be cost-efficient for what you receive with the Quest product."
"We are fine with the tool's pricing."
"The pricing for Active Roles is expensive but not as expensive as other solutions like Okta."
"It's fairly priced."
"The pricing is high. I have not been involved with the renewal or cost aspect, but I know it is not cheap by any means. However, it is very useful for our environment."
"The licensing model is a simple user-based model, not that much complicated."
"The price is reasonable. It costs us about 1 million Danish kroner annually, and we also spend about half as much on consultants."
"It's expensive."
"The pricing is on the higher end."
