We performed a comparison between Microsoft Power Automate and WinAutomation by Softomotive based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The ease of use and the integration with some of the existing products that we have would be its main takeouts."
"I like that Power Automate gives us a connector to be able to connect different data sources or different software."
"So far, the tech support has provided me with good enough support and knowledge."
"The best part is the automated workflow, which is quite good and easy. It is just drag-and-drop. We are able to create workflows quite quickly. We are able to directly integrate the data that it generates with Power BI dashboards. Its integration is quite good with other Microsoft tools, such as Power BI. The visualization of the data has become helpful for us."
"I like the scalability option and the simplicity, the way we can really use the interface to easily scale up."
"Technical support is available regionally and it's quite good."
"The most valuable features of Microsoft Power Automate are the connectors, such as loops, which make things easier."
"The solution offers a lot of documentation and tutorials for users to learn about various aspects and features."
"WinAutomation is very handy to use, and it has the power to interact with multiple systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or .NET systems."
"To me, what's most useful in WinAutomation by Softomotive is that it's quite intuitive, especially because most of the capabilities of the older WinAutomation remain. You also don't need to do or know hard coding, and this is another useful feature of the solution. I also like that WinAutomation by Softomotive integrates very well with Microsoft products, especially Microsoft Office, and this is great news because most companies use Microsoft Office. Having a very good integration with the Microsoft Office suite covers a lot of bases, and is one of the advantages of WinAutomation by Softomotive."
"Triggering and scheduling were pretty good. There was no real commitment with WinAutomation because the licensing was very fair and you could trigger bots very easily."
"On the governance side, there isn't enough documentation on how to govern Power Automate. People just build bespoke automation, which then becomes a problem point for different companies."
"I would like more integration with other tools. It integrates well with Microsoft products, but there should be more integration with other platforms and tools, such as chatbots."
"Things need to be improved with respect to RPA kinds of solutions."
"It would be great if it was able to integrate more with various other platforms. It would make development easier."
"The connectors and the integration capability can be improved. Microsoft RPA is a growing platform, and it is not yet particularly mature."
"The technical support has room for improvement."
"During their merger, some key functions were eliminated which no longer allows it to run independently from the cloud as a standalone for other companies. For example, options to schedule and trigger have been removed. It would be nice to have these capabilities back. The flow and the connectivity between databases and so on is a bit complex as well."
"Power Automate is too complicated - it forces you to go through extra tasks instead of streamlining your workflow."
"There should be a comprehensive or enterprise level of application to provide the cognitive AI, and there should be orchestration so that I can control all the robots on one station. The other tools are currently providing these features."
"They've already improved it, but I guess a testing suite would be nice to be able to test your automations in real time."
"What needs improvement in WinAutomation by Softomotive is its stability. Stability is quite important to me. Another area for improvement in the solution is robot scheduling because it's not 100% accurate, in particular, it's 90% accurate. The monitoring of the robot could also be improved because it's not very straightforward, and you have to look in a few places or at least two places which means that monitoring is not a one-glance process."
