We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The initial setup is pretty straightforward.""The patch management aspect of the solution is the most valuable part for us.""One of the benefits of Desktop Central is it made the provisioning process simpler because now we have a provisioning package. We have around 1,500 laptops at the moment and all these PCs were provisioned by a provisioning package. In the provisioning package, we have integrated every aspect of renaming, deploying applications, patching, etc., so we simply execute the provisioning package and as soon as it's executed, it will install the management agent. Once the agent is installed, it will take care of all the tasks, so we don't have to sit in front of the computer to prepare the machine. This really helps us to provision the PC quickly with our agent.""ManageEngine Desktop Central is stable.""The solution is time-saving and resource-saving.""Its cross-platform capabilities and the ability to do both OS-level patching and third-party patching are valuable. It is difficult to find a software product that will do all that for you out of the box, and you don't have to do any configuration other than your initial setup. Once you do that, there is a very minimalistic approach to getting it operational. You can have it up and running within a 20-minute time span.""Everything is easily centralized and managed under this one product.""The solution is definitely scalable."

"One of the most valuable features of Sophos Mobile is the Wifi password.""The security features work well.""The most valuable feature is the mobile device management capability. You can easily manage all of your mobile devices.""In terms of valuable features, we liked the lock feature, the roll-out white feature, and the find feature. I think that Sophos had a GPS locator, so you could figure out where the phone was from a GPS location.""They always add more features to this product."

Cons
"Each of their products is an independent product, and they don't have anything to do with each other. It is a suite of packages. They all run independently, and they all are a little different because they were acquired differently. They could standardize their portfolio.""The solution lacks some configuration.""The pricing is lower than other well-respected solutions in this category.""Some difficulties with setup for multiple locations.""Documentation could improve so we don't need to create the support requests first.""The solution should be better at integrating with other solutions.""The pricing could be a bit better.""I would like to see them come out with a SaaS version of the product in the future."

More ManageEngine Endpoint Central Cons →

"It could be more secure.""The features of Sophos Mobile could improve. The way the system works together could be better. Additionally, the integration with other Sophos products could improve.""To manage the Apple devices is not that straightforward there are a lot of features the other third parties solutions are offering which Sophos Mobile is not.""They continue to work on integration with mobile device management and mobile security. They are improving the protection but I think that the capabilities still need to be enhanced.""In terms of what could be improved, the initial configuration and setup of the environment could probably be made a little bit easier. There are so many pieces that go into it. Intune is absolutely insane and Sophos is better, but it still is a bit complex to get it all set up correctly."

As a desktop manager, Endpoint Central supports Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. Manage your mobile devices to deploy profiles and policies, configure devices for Wifi, VPN, email accounts, etc. Apply restrictions on application installs, camera usage, browser and secure your devices by enabling passcode, remote lock/wipe, etc. Manage all your iOS, Android and Windows smartphones and tablets from a single console.

Sophos Mobile is a Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and security solution that helps businesses spend less time and effort to manage and secure traditional and mobile endpoints.
