Featured Reviews

Ahmed-Ragab - PeerSpot reviewer
Facilitates task management with effective approval processes and modern integration capabilities
It facilitates processes by sending notifications to relevant individuals who need to take action regarding requests. There is a very good approval hierarchy in place. Ivanti Automation significantly simplifies IT infrastructure processes, handling access requests and facilitating various employee requests. It is also easy to integrate with many other tools, like Nintex and Azure DevOps, using APIs.
Mallik-Kesavaraju - PeerSpot reviewer
Significantly improves the overall cycle time, and offers robotic automation, and the BPM workflow
The extensive availability of ready-made gadgets in Pega BPM is a double-edged sword. While it offers convenience, it also leads to a steeper learning curve. Our developers and business analysts need to invest significant time and effort to fully understand and utilize the platform's capabilities. In essence, it's a complex product that demands a deep understanding to be used effectively. So, it cuts both ways. This complexity can be both an advantage and a disadvantage, depending on the user's expertise. So, the learning curve is pretty high! So, it's very good if you are a professional user, but you need to be a really good professional user to use this solution effectively.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's easy for the IT admins at the company to use. It isn't hard to understand and there are lots of features you can use out of the box. If a feature isn't available in Ivanti Automation, you can always script it."
"There is a very good approval hierarchy in place."
"Ivanti Automation significantly simplifies IT infrastructure processes, handling access requests and facilitating various employee requests."
"The most valuable feature of Ivanti Automation is the opportunity to use more or less any kind of scripting software."
"Case Management is the most valuable feature of PegaRULES, which is not found in other BPM tools."
"Overall, the ability to integrate with multiple applications and effective case management is the most valuable."
"The initial setup is pretty straightforward."
"The tool reduces our costs."
"It is a stable solution...It is a scalable solution."
"It's a good tool for workflow automation."
"The visualization of the business process and the collaboration aspects of the solution are its most valuable features."
"The workflows are the most valuable features, particularly for us, because we were attempting to automate processes by utilizing workflows to provide a hands-off comparison between the bot and the human."

Cons

"Their cloud relay feature needs to improve to compete with other products in cloud solutions like Azure and AWS. It should be easier to deploy or provision images in the cloud with Ivanti Automation. Better Azure integration would also help."
"The user interface could be more futuristic and modernized in terms of styling and colors."
"Ivanti Automation should deliver more fixed templates for standard use cases or standard procedures."
"The user interface could be more futuristic and modernized in terms of styling and colors."
"The extensive availability of ready-made gadgets in Pega BPM is a double-edged sword. While it offers convenience, it also leads to a steeper learning curve."
"Customers expect more out-of-the-box solutions."
"There is room for improvement in the user interface area."
"Its implementation in the public sector was a bit complex."
"I've spent some hands-on time with the platform, and you can do those things, and it is all low code, but is it as easy as they make it sound? No. That's my two cents. For example, if I want to do something, there is no way to switch from low code. I just want to do a simple If-Then-Else rule, but I have to go through their low-code tool and do dragging and dropping. I'm a development person, and in my opinion, even some business users could do this easier. There is no way to go back and forth to an editor where I can just type in an If-Then-Else rule, which would be much faster than drawing in their low-code editor. They don't support that. They lead you too much."
"An area for improvement in Pega BPM is security. It's secure, but it still has a lot of vulnerabilities. Pega BPM is robust, but it still needs some improvement performance-wise."
"The UI has always been the weakest part."
"There is room for potential improvement in the performance of PegaRULES, as well as the need to address any existing security concerns. It should be noted that working with an older version of Pega, rather than the latest 8.x versions, may limit certain capabilities and leave room for vulnerabilities that could benefit from increased attention. Furthermore, the user interface (UI) could be a candidate for enhancements. It is worth mentioning that newer versions of Pega may have introduced improvements in these areas."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"My customers do direct sales with Ivanti, and they complain that Ivanti Automation is more expensive than other solutions."
"Users have to pay a yearly license cost for Pega BPM, which is expensive."
"The price is a bit expensive."
"They need to come up with licensing options. Right now they do have a cloud-based option, but the cloud prices I've seen are much more expensive compared to competing products."
"The price of this solution, including installation and configuration, is comparable to competing vendors."
"It is cost-effective for medium enterprises. It is cheaper than ServiceNow."
"They have both on-premise and cloud licensing. If you are a small to medium company, go for the cloud option because that eliminates a lot of the setting up of your DevTest and performance environments, multiple environments, because you can buy that from Pega with the cloud option. So your setup time really goes down. If you're a large company, then you're better off putting it within your company. You have other skill resources within your company to create environments."
"Licensing is expensive. You need to wisely select between per user and per case."
"We do not have to purchase any licenses for the product."
