Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I like the monitoring feature.""It's easy to use.""Google's technical support is very good.""Our company has a corporate account for Google Cloud and so our systems and clusters integrate really well.""The features that I have found most valuable are its graphs - if I need any statistics, in Kubernetes or Kong level or VPN level, I can quickly get the reports.""We find the solution to be stable.""The most valuable feature is the multi-cloud integration, where there is support for both GCP and AWS.""Provides visibility into the performance uptime."

"Thanks to its flexibility, I have been able to adapt the tool to our servers and find out quickly how their console works.""The most valuable feature is that it is an all-in-one monitoring system.""You can configure several types of architecture for high availability or load balancing.""It provides us with proactive monitoring and is very easy to configure and maintain.""The administration of the console is very easy. I like that Pandora FMS is interactive and easy to manage.""Thanks to this software and to the work of the support team, we have everything under control.""Pandora's architecture is interesting. It's open so you can easily extend and enhance it. It's simpler to customize Pandora compared to other solutions. It's also scalable enough to support large environments.""This solution has screens that are easy to understand and provide a wealth of information."

Cons
"If I want to track any round-trip or breakdowns of my response times, I'm not able to get it. My request goes through various levels of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and comes back to my client machine. Suppose that my request has taken 10 seconds overall, so if I want to break it down, to see where the delay is happening within my architecture, I am not able to find that out using Stackdriver.""This solution could be improved if it offered the ability to analyze charts, such as a solution like Kibana.""The product provides minimal metrics that are insufficient.""It could be even more automated.""It is difficult to estimate in advance how much something is going to cost.""It could be more stable.""While we are satisfied with the overall performance, in certain cases we must add additional metrics and additional tools like Grafana and Dynatrace.""Lacking sufficient operations documentation."

More Google Cloud's operations suite (formerly Stackdriver) Cons →

"I find that this software is resource heavy, and demands a lot of processing capacity.""I would like to have a dashboard with all assets displayed, with a quick hover-over status.""Third-party integration should be improved for some commonly used products.""Their support is good, but it is just online communication. It would be great to be able to just call someone and talk to them instead of always writing. It works well for me because I am a decent communicator in email, but some people might find it difficult to describe in a written fashion and communicate with them that way. There is a learning curve to the interface, but once you get used to it, it is actually very powerful. They have a lot of options, but people struggle with the interface. They've improved it though, and it is getting better. They need to keep improving the learning curve to help buy-in. I'm the guy that manages it, so I'm comfortable with it. They can refine the upgrade agents to be easier. They can also do more refinement in end-user usability because not everyone is strong technically, and people who aren't strong technically might be averse to the product, even though it has come a long way. It has a complete GUI and everything.""I sincerely believe that Pandora needs new ideas for functionality closer to advanced device security monitoring.""In the future, we may have double the number of devices, and we do not want to have any issues with performance in the data display.""A nice feature in the next release would be an automation module to run workflow actions.""An update to the Android app would be appreciated."

    Overview

    Real-time log management and analysis

Cloud Logging is a fully managed service that performs at scale and can ingest application and platform log data, as well as custom log data from GKE environments, VMs, and other services inside and outside of Google Cloud. Get advanced performance, troubleshooting, security, and business insights with Log Analytics, integrating the power of BigQuery into Cloud Logging.

    Built-in metrics observability at scale

Cloud Monitoring provides visibility into the performance, uptime, and overall health of cloud-powered applications. Collect metrics, events, and metadata from Google Cloud services, hosted uptime probes, application instrumentation, and a variety of common application components. Visualize this data on charts and dashboards and create alerts so you are notified when metrics are outside of expected ranges.

Stand-alone managed service for running and scaling Prometheus

Managed Service for Prometheus is a fully managed Prometheus-compatible monitoring solution, built on top of the same globally scalable data store as Cloud Monitoring. Keep your existing visualization, analysis, and alerting services, as this data can be queried with PromQL or Cloud Monitoring.

Monitor and improve your application's performance

Application Performance Management (APM) combines the monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities of Cloud Logging and Cloud Monitoring with Cloud Trace and Cloud Profiler to help you reduce latency and cost so you can run more efficient applications.

Pandora FMS is a monitoring as a service (MaaS) solution that is ideal for companies with at least 100 or more devices. Instead of multiple, difficult-to-integrate monitoring systems, Pandora FMS is an all-in-one solution that is easy to use. The software is able to untangle complicated technology infrastructures to easily identify the root cause of issues in order to find the most efficient solution. It does so by analyzing everything in your system, from databases and applications to services and desktops, as well as communications.

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by PeerSpot users currently using the Pandora FMS solution.

PeerSpot user Marc C., Systems Analyst at a university, says, "It is easy to create your own custom modules if you just know a little bit of scripting. If you have unique requirements, you can just make your own modules. You can even grab checks from other vendors. There are open-source checks for various things such as SMTP, etc. It is really flexible. It is reliable. It does the job, and it alerts. It is also surprisingly feature-rich. It is very mature for a not-so-known product."

Another reviewer, Alexandre J., comments, “What I value most about Pandora FMS is the simplicity of working with it. The speed of locating problems and to be able to solve them quickly, so that it affects our client's network infrastructure as little as possible, is very valuable.

Thanks to Pandora FMS we have everything unified in the same point and it is highly efficient.”
