Has helped manage client domains with streamlined access control and threat visibility
I don't know what areas could be improved with Cloudflare WAF; Cloudflare is constantly improving and adding features to their feature set. They're doing a good job, and as far as DNS and support for any domains that I create or my clients create, it's mandatory for me to make sure that they have Cloudflare as their DNS provider. The Cloudflare load balancing capability hasn't really helped in enhancing my website's uptime and resiliency because we don't really get that much traffic; it's mostly remote users, and web hosting is done by a web hosting service. It doesn't pay to try to host your own website.

Email security effectively detects a wide range of threats and improves productivity
Since we have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for a year, we haven't encountered significant challenges. However, it would be beneficial if it could support other email security services beyond Microsoft and Google. Integration with other platforms would enhance its appeal since the features are commendable. While the analytics are commendable, they don't provide deep dive insights. They show the overall counts of malware, phishing, and business compromise emails, but there isn't a robust ability to dive deeper into those categories to see specifics. Analytics should allow us to explore which users received malware emails the most or trends among departments. Currently, we have to sift through manually, which is not ideal. A more profound analytical capability would elevate the tool to become the complete email security solution for any user.

Ease of sensitive information detection and provides flexibility to customize and redefine policies and user analytics that detect data channels
In my opinion, there's a need for an extensive skill set or knowledge of creating policies. There's room for improvement to make it more user-friendly in creating custom rules and policies. In future releases, I would like to see a quick glance at detected data without downloading the actual file for both Windows and MacOS.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is a stable solution. I rate the stability a ten out of ten...I rate the scalability a ten out of ten."
"There are key things that are used for our enterprise customers, such as Lambda and DNS."
"The DDoS protection is the most valuable aspect of the solution."
"It is a fast and secure DNS."
"The solution offers the flexibility to control configuration rules."
"DDoS attacks target unprotected machines. Cloudflare detects and stops these attacks using internal systems. It identifies incoming DDoS attacks, issuing challenges or blocking them immediately."
"Cloudflare consolidates various capabilities into one product, streamlining processes."
"The web application firewall brought us good security and a view of the accesses/blocks of the entire domain and subdomain that were accessed both by region (country) and IPs."
"The stuff that it's picking up and blocking and stopping from coming into our environment has been fantastic."
"The most valuable feature is spam detection and phishing site prevention, which Microsoft couldn't catch, yet Check Point does."
"Based on domain and URL reputation, it will allow traffic to flow."
"It is very intuitive. It is a point and click type of deal."
"I appreciate the ease of deployment and the intuitive dashboard. Even someone with basic IT knowledge can easily understand the dashboard and identify potential threats."
"Check Point has made my threat prevention better; it has helped me avoid having to redo machines and has helped protect our data by not letting unauthorized items through."
"It provides visibility of events, what's going on with the environment, what we're missing with our other solution, and the user behavior."
"It seems quite scalable. We don't anticipate any scaling issues. We have it deployed in the cloud."
"As long as you know the flow and how the setup phase works, the process can be totally straightforward."
"We have accurate detection on data protection and more visibility on different data channels compared to other DLP solutions. So, basically, more on the principle, there is ROI."

Cons

"The documentation could improve for Cloudflare DNS."
"We have noticed multiple instances where Cloudflare falsely indicates that our servers are down, even when there is no actual load on them. This makes it challenging for us to identify the exact issue."
"Eventually, things go sideways and require fixes when it would have been easier to prevent the issue initially."
"Cloudflare could be improved by introducing a mid-tier pricing option."
"DNS Management."
"I believe they currently have this feature, but there will most likely be integration with APIs so we can control some features through API."
"Integration involving API with other products could be more user-friendly."
"The reporting can definitely be improved to offer a lot more explanation on something that may have happened or has actually happened."
"I have learned enough to make the product stable. However, the stability has some challenges."
"They could continue to offer more stringent security policy measures for threat point management."
"Navigating between quarantine, threat logs, and policy settings sometimes feels clunky, requiring too many clicks to get to commonly used features."
"Support could be improved, as it is only available in English."
"While Check Point Harmony Email and Collaboration offers useful analytics, there is potential for improvement in providing deeper insights."
"Since the portal to the management and administration entry sometimes has performance problems and takes a long time to respond to what has arrived, the handling of the tool is difficult."
"There are a few areas for improvement. One is the occasional sluggishness or latency, which is likely due to the cloud-based nature of the solution. So, the performance can be better."
"Harmony Email & Collaboration could be improved by making the whitelist available on the website and application level."
"The trouble with the tool is its ability to integrate with a third-party application."
"In my opinion, there's a need for an extensive skill set or knowledge of creating policies. There's room for improvement to make it more user-friendly in creating custom rules and policies."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's a premium model. You can start at zero and work your way up to the enterprise model, which has a very high pricing level."
"That is one of the great features. I was able to access the majority of the features and services for free."
"The pricing for the service is reasonable, neither excessively cheap nor prohibitively expensive. It aligns well with the value of their solution."
"We are using the free tier of the solution."
"We are using the free version."
"The product's pricing is cheap."
"A free version of the solution is available."
"The cost primarily depends on the size of the organization."
"Check Point is more expensive. That's the honest truth. So far, it's a good value for the money."
"As we are a non-profit organization, we got the tool with a good offer. On a yearly basis, we pay 10,000 Euro for 500 users, which also includes the technical support part."
"Do a full feature evaluation (interactive) with a support person. That is what I did."
"Reasonable cost, quick and easy implementation, and transparent."
"You can get CloudGuard as part of Infinity. When you do the solution through Infinity, it's a per user type of license cost."
"This is a very good product if you are on the cloud, but the price is a little more expensive."
"The product’s price is very high."
"The pricing is competitive."
"As long as your needs are fulfilled, even if the price is high, you will buy the tool."
