The service level and automated capacity manager functions allow us to control priorities, support SLA's and manage our 4HRA and reduce MLC for some software bills.
There currently is a WUI that allows an operator a single pane of glass to see how TM is performing to meet service policies within a JESMAS environment. This is a new feature and multiple individuals have expressed desire to not only see real time monitoring, but the ability to historically go back at least several hours or possibly an entire day to review history.

Good stability but it is lacking the ability to see historical information
We can only see online information but there isn't any historical data to see something that happened a few hours previous. We don't have the ability to access that information. Previously, with MainView, we could look back at information from two days before and get information. We could easily get information from Plexus. Now, we don't have a single screen to check which has been annoying. Compared to MainView, Tivoli is rubbish. We are forced to use this solution. We couldn't stay with MainView. I would like for it to be easier to check the system performance. It should have the ability to see historical data. We can't see the percentages to see the percentages of the CPU utilized. We should be able to see how much was used by our part of the system. Now, we have to continuously recalculate that information.

Automation has improved alerts and file handling but script-based setup still needs simplification
OPS_MVS Automation Intelligence is the automation tool I use. I think OPS_MVS Automation Intelligence is good for creating complex rules because it's coding, but it takes time to learn how to use it. OPS_MVS Automation Intelligence works well if you know the syntax very well and you have experience in creating scripts or REXX syntax; it would be very good and is a good tool, but it takes time to learn, so that is for experienced staff to work with. I would rate the product a six from one to ten. I cannot think of any additional features in the next release of OPS_MVS Automation Intelligence.
