Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Automation has streamlined client data extraction and has improved reporting for business decisions
I work as a developer, and my manager is responsible for the research and analytics for the project with the client and business users. I am satisfied with BotFarm. I would rate my experience with BotFarm an eight out of ten. I do not see any room for improvement for BotFarm. I am using AI tools such as Amazon, Microsoft Azure, and ChatGPT. I am not using AI-powered bots in BotFarm. I am a partner with Automation Anywhere.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"There are many features of Automation Anywhere that were found to be most valuable like WLM, PDF integration, Advanced Excel Commands, Terminal Emulator and its commands, Interactive Forms building features of A2019 which helped us in developing UI for our front office automation and integrate it with multiple rest APIs."
"SAP GUI Integration commands are highly useful while working with SAP applications and facilitate easy use of the software. This feature has been recently incorporated within the software and we have been using it to interface with SAP systems in development as well as production."
"It is very user-friendly. Nobody has to sit down and work on coding. We have a drag and drop option where anybody can understand it."
"They have a credential vault, which is 256-bit encrypted. That is the highest security that can be provided when it comes to credential maintenance. With a credential vault, other than the user who is entering the password, no one else knows what the password is."
"An easy to deploy and learn automation tool that can save resources, effort and money."
"We have automated the equivalent headcount of 500 FTEs since we started. Those people haven't been laid off. They are just doing different types of work activities."
"From a developer perspective, the user interface is user-friendly and easy to use."
"Automation Anywhere aids in handling repetitive tasks, contributing to productivity and enhancing customer service, especially when combined with methodologies like Six Sigma."
"Automation Anywhere provides a very flexible UI."
"One of the most valuable features is the solution's simple automation regarding object cloning and strings variables."
"The solution has been very user-friendly."
"The most valuable feature is the rapid deployment of multiple bots."
"What I like most about BotFarm is that it's one of the leading RPA products in the market. Very few products focus on robotics today, so I like that BotFarm offers a lot in terms of what general customers expect it to do."
"They recently released the newest version that has a good program flow, quality, and blueprints that are all good improvements to the automation. They also have good integration with SAP."
"There are not many challenges when setting up this solution, and there is a good amount of documentation to go with it."
"The main features of the solution are the IQ Bot and web-based automation."

Cons

"Setting up Automation Anywhere is a bit complex."
"We tried Citrix six months ago, but the solution that they gave us did not work in our environment."
"I would like more integration with Microsoft Excel. More screenshots that can be integrated with Excel would help our customers too."
"When a bot is in production, sometimes the keystrokes will not work. I am not sure why, and we have tried to contact technical support. They said that they don't have an answer for this. It happens in the the remote environment when we are deploying a bot into AWS machines. So, technical support said this happens in AWS machines sometimes: If the bot is running and the machine is locked, then at that time, the key strokes will not work. They have provided that solution, but we are trying to avoid keystrokes now."
"There should be more available Data Analytics and more AI Front and Deep Learn concepts."
"They are already working on this: The boom of generative AI, the next-gen technologies, including advanced AI and ML technologies, are in the roadmap. I would like to see more and more AI integration and a bit more analytics. That would be great."
"If you want to use Chrome then there are three or four additional steps that need to be completed."
"The inclusion of word packages would help us to extract data from Word and automate word-related activities easily."
"The CL command poses an issue during the process of data conversion, accuracy, data loss and the assessment of certain data as false."
"The OCR tool, the optical character recognition tool, could be more efficient."
"We do have some troubles with the internal software commands, but we have been troubleshooting this bug to fix it."
"The tool must execute remedial actions to resolve problems before they cause significant incidents."
"The licensing schemes could be more competitive. They need to be much more flexible in their pricing."
"The solution can improve the accuracy of hand-written data reading"
"It would be ideal if the solution offered more language options, such as Arabic."
"We have connectivity and integration with pretty much every single tech stack across the table that we have in the world, and there are a few areas that they don't do that well yet. I'd be looking for some improvement there, in terms of their integration with certain products."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We're just starting to renew our license, and we were quoted $115,000 without the IQ Bot. The IQ Bot is another $30,000. This is with very limited pages, as we go through our first projects. The majority of the cost was for ten days of onsite training."
"I advise others that even as of right now, the setup cost and licensing cost to automate bots on Automation Anywhere is steep but it is worth the investment!"
"The licensing cost for Automation Anywhere is high."
"It is fantastic. It has been great. It is perfectly priced for the quality received. When paying for quality, that is exactly what you get."
"If I compare it with Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere is cheaper. Blue Prism is very costly. Automation Anywhere's pricing follows the market, not less and not more."
"I would rate the cost of Automation Anywhere as a six out of ten, with ten being the most expensive."
"AA comes at a more affordable price than the other tools."
"Including the AWS setup and everything per license, it costs us around $10,000 on an annual basis. I believe that is pretty reasonable considering the teams that we have."
"The solution prices are expensive. It would be more beneficial for customers to lower the pricing."
"The pricing is fair."
"Pricing for this solution can be better."
"The starter price is free."
"The pricing model could be simplified."
"It is too expensive and not worth the price."
"Our licensing costs are approximately $3,000 USD annually."
"I think payment can vary but it's a re-occurring fee that needs to be paid every year."
