Leading-edge NLP capabilities, efficient training of machine learning models, and the automation saves us significant time
The machine learning capability is good. The algorithm helps us to get the right data with less training effort. The technology seems to be a little bit ahead of the standard NLP software. They use more pattern recognition, rather than basing everything on reading static text. The problem with relying on an unchanging text is that it can depend on things such as the formatting, and where things appear within a document. This solution can process complex formats, which is helpful for us because we get a lot of PDFs and they come in many different formats. As an example, a carrier might include a list of their rates in a table, whereas a different carrier will write their rates into a paragraph, and yet another will put them into some sort of graphic. If you only capture text then you will only capture part of that data. Pattern recognition ultimately helps us to circumvent the problems in dealing with format variability in documents and allows us to capture the right data. When it comes to predicting what it is that a document needs manual intervention, CMR Plus does it pretty well. They have a QA cycle that is usually able to highlight such data. The content recognition ability, in terms of giving us only the data that we need and nothing else, is pretty good. It has a positive effect on our efficiency and by extension, it impacts our infrastructure costs.

Significantly reduces manual effort and improves team workflows through automated ticketing
We've used Agent Builder, IXP, and Maestro for orchestration. We have created context-grounded searches or chatbots using context grounding, and we also use context grounding within an Agentic flow where a bot or agent reads ServiceNow tickets to determine whether it has been assigned to the right work group. If it has not been assigned correctly due to human error, it automatically reassigns it to the right group. I would assess Agentic AI's ability to extract data points as effective. We created an agent for the purpose of extracting data, though not in a document. We created what we call an email conversation agent that engages with a customer, vendor, or someone in an email conversation with a set goal of extracting specific data points for an action to be performed subsequently. The one automation we have deployed in production involves the agent interacting with team members to collect data points and create a ServiceNow ticket. We appreciate almost all features of UiPath Platform, with one of the most successful ones being the use of Coms Mining. Most of the new features related to AI have all been good, and we use Agentic. We have already created a few agents and have started to use Maestro for a few flows, though we are not yet there to orchestrate an end-to-end workflow. We have good ROI from the automations we have developed with UiPath Platform, which far exceeds the investment in the platform. It has saved us tens of thousands of hours in manual effort, making the team members happy to pursue other things of value.

Pros

"Pattern recognition ultimately helps us to circumvent the problems in dealing with format variability in documents and allows us to capture the right data."
"The automation provided by this solution has saved us a lot of time."
"The automation provided by this solution has saved us a lot of time."
"I like UiPath's coding engine."
"I like that UiPath makes life easier through its multiple features. It's easy to use through its Excel functionality, a basic application you need. UiPath also has many connectors available, so using the solution is easier."
"The best feature in the latest release of UiPath Platform for me is the Orchestrator, which I find very user-friendly for navigation, as I haven't seen such a good Orchestrator among any of the other competitors."
"UiPath has improved the finance department, as most repetitive tasks are being handled by the robots already and employees are focusing on value-adding tasks such as analytics, continuous improvement, and customer experience, making them happy because they are doing what they are actually trained for."
"Technical support for UiPath is great."
"Its ease of use is valuable. For building an application, if I give this product to a newbie, he or she would be able to easily use it and build an application with minimum knowledge. No extra training is required. Its features are self-explanatory, and anyone can understand them, which is the main feature of this product."
"UiPath has a very good user interface, and the automation is a great feature. New users can easily understand UiPath."
"Examples of how the features of UiPath Platform have benefited my organization include tracking, metrics, and analytics; it feeds into Insights, and it's really useful when it comes to dealing with fires that arise every day."

Cons

"We would like to see the overall accuracy increase from approximately 70% to perhaps 85%."
"It would be very helpful to have a simple and extensive training guide, or training model, to help learn how to work with the product."
"It would be very helpful to have a simple and extensive training guide, or training model, to help learn how to work with the product."
"I don't like the stability very much as it has minor bugs."
"UiPath should expand its coding options and reduce its dependency on third-party resources. There should also be more flexible licenses for smaller businesses. It's hard for small companies to estimate the cost of adding users in their final budgets. UiPath could also improve error handling and capture a little more information about the execution of your processes."
"Optical character recognition for hand written documents could be improved."
"In exception handling, wherever exception occurs, the out arguments are not being passed. It would be good if there is a way to pass the out arguments."
"It was a real disaster; I couldn't define anything."
"The Citrix automation - the way that it's fragile right now - if that could be made stronger and more stable, that would be icing on the cake for UiPath."
"Every time, when we have upgraded, except for the last time, we have struggled. We always had to retry, get some support with it, and the documentation was a little lagging."
"It could be a little more aesthetically pleasing."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is really good, and it's based on usage."
"No matter how much you complain about the price of a SaaS product, it's still cheaper than building your own data center and other infrastructure. That's my perspective as someone who works for a company that does digital transformation. The price is cheaper than building and deploying your own solutions."
"If you are a smaller organization, use the free community version of the software to get a feel for its features and abilities."
"I'm not sure about licensing and pricing, but the pricing for their certification is a little bit more. Previously, we could do it for no price."
"They have to reduce the price a little bit for basic users, startups, and small companies."
"We saved a little over $600,000. That totaled to almost 19 FTEs which we ended up saving."
"I like that there is one license for all basic needs, but it is still expensive. Sometimes, we don't need all the tools or capabilities. We only need basic automation and processing for certain clients, but we're required to get the full license. They can improve its licensing and provide more flexibility. They can create more plans or packages, or they can let the users choose the capabilities they need and base its pricing on that."
"It would be nice if you could just buy the product instead of having the annual rate license renewals. It's expensive, but I guess we'll have to see what the ROI truly is."
"I don't know the cost. Maybe $25,000 for the year. I would definitely say it's worth the money."
