One feature that does not receive enough attention is the ransomware protection. FileCloud's heuristic scan engine monitors file patterns and actually blocks suspicious behavior in real-time. We had a test incident in our staging environment, and it caught it immediately. The multi-tenancy support is also worth mentioning, especially since we manage files across multiple business units that need to be completely isolated from each other. The zero-trust file sharing feature, where you can share encrypted files that are inaccessible even during a breach, represents a genuinely forward-thinking capability.Regarding improvements needed in FileCloud, the user interface feels somewhat dated compared to some of the newer SaaS collaboration tools available. First-time users sometimes need guidance before they feel comfortable navigating it, which adds a small onboarding overhead. The mobile app is functional, but it does not have full feature parity with the desktop version. Some of the admin-level controls simply are not available on mobile, which can be frustrating when traveling. A UI refresh would go a long way in improving first impressions. The documentation has improved over the years, but gaps remain in more advanced configuration areas, particularly around custom workflow setups and API integration. When I was setting up the Zapier integration, I had to rely on community forums more than official documentation, which added unnecessary time. Better step-by-step guides with real-time configuration examples would be valuable, especially for teams without a dedicated DevOps resource.
