I am not a user at this time. I am a system integrator.

Mostly firewall and network protection. Rarely with endpoint protection.

I can say a partner and reseller, I think.

It depends on the user. When he needs maybe data retention for one year, for three months or more, I recommend Fortinet FortiGate Cloud. If he doesn't want to set the log on FortiAnalyzer, I will recommend him with Fortinet FortiGate Cloud.

It depends. As I mentioned before, if they don't have a syslog server or any other SIEM, I will recommend it. If they need an audit for one year of data retention, I will recommend it because it's worth the money for one year of log retention.

It's straightforward. If I enable Fortinet FortiGate Cloud feature on the FortiGate on-premise or VM, it will copy the configuration on the cloud. Depending on my license, I can configure it or have it as read-only with a limited license.

That's one of the main purposes of Fortinet FortiGate Cloud for me. The report doesn't have many templates, but the log retention is so good with one-year retention.

If you compare it with the FortiAnalyzer or maybe with any other product such as a FortiSIEM template, with the limited license, you only get the 360 template, it's called.

I think the security function, I mainly use it for configuration purposes and log retention purposes. The security is the same as the VM or the hardware, I think.

The sandbox. I think it has it, but not a lot if you only have the default capability with only 10 files per minute. I think the user needs to be selective with the files that they want to send to the sandbox on the cloud.

It needs to improve the vulnerability that I found recently regarding the single sign-on from Fortinet FortiGate Cloud account. That became a concern for my user. The CVE that was leaked recently about the single sign-on from Fortinet FortiGate Cloud. I think Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is also powered by the Fortinet FortiGate Cloud account.

Mostly I want is just to maintain the hardening and the CVEs, so the user doesn't have a concern about its security because it will connect directly to the on-premise or the VM. It needs more stability regarding vulnerability.

Maybe one year or more. But not on many occasions, maybe two or three in one year.

Not recently. My customers mostly want the private cloud and on-premise because of government regulations.

The cost is reasonable if you compare it to maybe a SIEM or FortiAnalyzer. If the user just wants to query the log from maybe three months ago or six months ago, I think it's worth the money.

With Fortinet, many of them, such as FortiMail, FortiSASE, FortiClient EMS, FortiWeb, and also doing enablement and any other product. Too many, I forgot.

Fortinet FortiGate Cloud? I know about it.

As far as I know, I only use it for the FortiGate and don't integrate it with any other Fortinet product because if I want to integrate, I will integrate with the on-premise directly or the VM.

I think it's the same as any other Fortinet product because it depends on the FortiGuard threat intel, right.

For Netskope, I am only the second engineer, I think. I only support my other engineer.

I think my main job is Fortinet, also Clarity, also with SentinelOne.

We are providing the entire Sophos solution, including all products like Sophos firewall, Sophos Next-Generation antivirus software, Sophos email solutions, and everything else related to Sophos.

Sophos Safeguard is one of the products, but it is an end-of-life product, now showing only as Sophos encryption. Sophos Mobile Advanced is an MDM solution that we offer. One of the companies I recommend Sophos Mobile to is ChargeZone, located in Baroda, India, where we focus more on Sophos firewall, Sophos endpoint, and email solutions.

We are providing the entire SonicWall solution, but we focus more on the firewall. We can use the Wi-Fi access point, but I cannot use the SonicWall switch as of now. We are working with SonicWall access points, but it is not in use currently; earlier we were using them because I have many customers with different products. Mainly, we focus on Sophos firewall, Sophos Capture Client, and Sophos email solutions, which are already being used by our customers.

We are selling Fortinet FortiGate firewall, along with FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer. We are not using FortiMDR, XDR, or NDR, as we recently started with Fortinet FortiGate product and are focusing on the firewall solution based on customer requirements, with the FortiGate team available to help us.

We are selling Fortinet FortiGate on-prem firewall, specifically the 80F, 100F, and 101F model G series firewalls, and providing support to many customers using them.

Our customers are using Fortinet FortiGate Cloud for reporting purposes. When I sell Fortinet FortiGate product, I inform customers that FortiCloud maintains data for seven days so they can access it and manage some access points.

In FortiCloud, I manage everything for reporting purposes, even though I primarily focus on Fortinet FortiGate firewall and FortiAnalyzer for policy deployment, which is mostly requested by customers.

The pricing for Fortinet FortiGate on-prem and Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is reasonable and competitive, with a policy that after three years, we either replace the product or purchase a new one, especially since there's no renewal policy for smaller boxes.

Some disadvantages include future limitations, issues with FortiAnalyzer, and data residency concerns, which create less control.

I think Fortinet FortiGate Cloud could benefit from additional features such as a centralized dashboard, device asset management, real-time configuration management, firmware upgrades, zero-touch provisioning, logging and log retention, analytics and reporting, management of connected devices, and some security features.

I am also looking for customizable dashboards.

I have been dealing with Fortinet FortiGate products for about three to four years, mainly focusing on Fortinet FortiGate firewall while managing multiple calls during the day regarding various customer needs and preparing for NSC 4, now known as FCP.

The pricing for Fortinet FortiGate on-prem and Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is reasonable and competitive, with a policy that after three years, we either replace the product or purchase a new one, especially since there's no renewal policy for smaller boxes.

Fortinet FortiGate technical support is really good; they maintain FLA, and while my experience indicates there's some delay during daytime calls in India, I can connect with Fortinet FortiGate during nighttime if urgent needs arise.

Technical support is good, and I have no problems with it. I would rate their technical support eight out of ten because I often engage with support for configurations like ADVPN for multiple branches with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, and I registered many cases to manage these setups.

I am still working with SonicWall products, Sophos, and Fortinet FortiGate. I am a partner and a distributor of this product.

I do not have much knowledge about recommending Fortinet FortiGate Cloud, as I am currently learning about its features, but I know about its centralized management, cloud login, analyzer, zero-touch deployment, and threat intelligence integrations. There are dependencies on the internet for Fortinet FortiGate Cloud.

Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is a good product. I am currently in a learning phase and find many features available—Fortinet FortiGate has about 55-60 products, not just firewall or cloud but many more.

We can resell Fortinet FortiGate as per customer requirements, explaining all features while also managing multiple products like SonicWall, Sophos, and Fortinet FortiGate. I have limited knowledge of FortiOS, focusing primarily on Fortinet FortiGate firewall while I am still in my learning phase for other products.

I use the solution in my company's data center and for our customers, including both small and big ones, like hotels, hospitals, or production companies. We use the tool very often in our company.

The solution's most valuable feature is its ease of use. The tool has many stable, good, and clear-to-understand functions. You can organize the tool in a very good way. With Fortinet FortiGate Cloud, if you have your own desktop, you can manage and have everything you need to support and monitor.

The new versions of the tool sometimes have bugs, and so we often have to spend a lot of time fixing issues in the solution. I want the patches offered by the product to be improved.

I feel that the product should be made cheaper because the customers are always a little bit scared about the tool's prices.

I have been using Fortinet FortiGate Cloud for more than ten years.

It is a very stable solution. We don't have any downtime. My company has experienced some downtime with FortiGate / FortiOS 7.4.4, so we have to work around it a bit. With the older version, like FortiGate / FortiOS 7.2.7 and FortiGate / FortiOS 7.2.8, the tool was okay.
 

It is a scalable solution. The tool is easy to expand in our company.

My company deals with around 500 clients of the tool.

Right now, my company has four people in the security area to take care of the technical part of the product. Four people handle everything about the firewall and network infrastructure. There is another department for software engineering and another department for licensing and selling purposes.

The product's initial setup phase is very easy. The initial setup of the threat intelligence capabilities of the tool was very good.

The solution can be deployed in less than an hour.

In terms of cost savings or efficiency in our company's IT network management, I would say that the tool is very efficient because we have no problems with it at all. With the tool in place, we can implement switches, access points, and everything else, so for our infrastructure, it is good.

Every year, the product's prices go up and it has been continuing since the past three years. I have seen that the feedback related to the product from our department is that there is always a need for new devices without which there would be no security. If new devices are not purchased then it affects the security.

Integrating the tool with other solutions is very easy, so there is no problem with the product.

I suggest other people take the best from the product since it is a really good solution. I would not change to a different product extension from Fortinet FortiGate Cloud as it makes you feel safe. If a customer wants to save his or her company, then it is better to get Fortinet FortiGate Cloud because it is one of the best solutions with which you can manage everything, like access points, switches, VLANs, and splitting of NAT, from one place. You can do it all from one point. With FortiGate, you can manage the VLANs, and you have them in every place, every switch, and every port. You can select the VLAN and the tool works. If Fortinet can become better, then it is even better.

I rate the tool a ten out of ten.

I am using FortiGate Cloud in my landing zone, connecting on-premises data centers with Microsoft Azure Cloud. It acts as a site-to-site VPN connecting various locations.

The main advantage of FortiGate Cloud is its reliability, scalability, and pricing. I have deployed FortiGate devices both on-premises and in the cloud, and both are working great. The device is reliable despite being on cloud infrastructure, and the hypervisor part is managed by Azure. This reliability and the easy-to-configure GUI have been significant for our operations. Additionally, I have never faced any hardware malfunctions with these devices.

There are some areas that need improvement regarding customer support. Fortinet could enhance their customer service by offering more direct remote sessions to resolve issues, as relying solely on documentation can be time-consuming. This would help technical teams manage other responsibilities more efficiently.

I have had experience with Fortinet FortiGate for around three years.

I haven't had any problems with the FortiGate unit itself. It is a very reliable product, both hardware-wise and software-wise.

I would rate the scalability eight out of ten. 

I have a few sites running on high availability with FortiGate models that are sufficient to handle the load of users. I have numerous firewalls deployed on different sites that efficiently manage user loads.

I would rate customer service at eight. Although good, there are areas for improvement, particularly in providing remote support rather than relying solely on documentation.

The initial setup was very straightforward, especially if you know how to configure it. I appreciate the GUI, which makes configuration easy. The knowledge base support is also beneficial if any issues arise.

The deployment required two or three network administrators.

The return on investment is very good due to the reliability and stability of the devices. I have purchased many devices, and none have malfunctioned or failed so far.

The pricing of Fortinet FortiGate is very competitive when compared to other industry-leading products such as Palo Alto and Cisco devices.

I would recommend FortiGate Cloud due to its reliability, scalability, and competitive pricing.

We are currently only using Fortinet VPN from Fortinet's suite of applications and solutions. During the nearly two years that I've been working here, we've experienced zero incidents with the Fortinet FortiGate Cloud hardware or software. However, our operational system lacks high availability, which became evident during two fires. 

The easy part involves policy creation, which is very straightforward. It helps to keep you in control. 

Fortinet needs to improve the FortiGate Cloud dashboards that provide information about logs. This type of solution presents a lot of technical complexity from a management standpoint, making it somewhat difficult to understand. They need to focus on the EDR parts, the endpoint protection and defense, and response because once the employee or user is inside your company perimeter, they are protected by the firewall. They are exposed to any Wi-Fi threat when they leave the company and are not connected to your VPN. There's a need to improve or invest more in an application that can follow users wherever they go. The protection ends once they leave the premises, leaving them vulnerable to threats encountered elsewhere.

Setting up VPN connections, even though they are meant to be easy to configure, is the most challenging aspect.

Every time you want to improve, there's something new on the market. Every time we give them a chance, they deliver for us.

I have been using Fortinet FortiGate Cloud for two to three years. We are using v7.0.14 of the solution.

I have three sites. The largest has almost eighty devices, and we have around 15-20. The total is 116.

We opened a ticket, and FortiGate responded within thirty minutes of calling us about that ticket.

Fortinet FortiGate Cloud supports the entire infrastructure, especially in today's cloud-centric environment, where reliance on such equipment is paramount. Fortinet consistently delivers on what we pay for, ensuring we receive the necessary support for our operations. Therefore, the cost-benefit is quite significant.

When we create a website using Fortinet FortiGate Cloud, we can design it according to our preferences, including integrations, VLANs, and VMCs. Then, we determine how to establish connections, whether site-to-site or site-to-cloud. Once we finalize our plan, we initiate a project and begin coordination efforts, ensuring everyone agrees. Regular meetings help us stay updated on progress and address any issues. Taking a step back during discussions sometimes reveals areas needing improvement in our design, prompting necessary changes. This thorough process, coupled with prior planning and coordination, typically results in a one-week deployment timeline for a website. For instance, if we're setting up a branch in another state, the deployment process begins about two to three months before the restart. Throughout this period, daily meetings help us stay on track and address any challenges promptly.

They need to improve the dashboard. The hardware has technical aspects related to configuring and deploying policies, among other things. However, the analysis of logs needs enhancement, particularly for non-technical users.

Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

FortiGate Cloud is used for larger organizations that have their services in the cloud.

It is necessary to have FortiGate Cloud if you want to protect Azure resources.

The most effective features for managing cyber threats are IPS and application control.

All Fortinet products have many security flaws, and new versions often have large security holes. The integration process takes a long time for failovers between firewalls since it uses the Azure API. The initial setup is also considered to be difficult.

I have worked with FortiGate products for maybe ten years and with the cloud version for one year.

The technical support is not very good. It suffers from overall competence issues and a lack of language proficiency.

I have tried Azure Firewall. It is extremely overpriced and does not have all the management features FortiGate has. I have dealt with other competitors in the past and am now focusing just on Fortinet Security Solutions.

In the past, I have worked with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto and am currently focused on Fortinet.

The initial setup was difficult due to differences in handling network management between Azure and on-premises solutions.

I deployed it myself, but I had some colleagues I could ask questions.

The pricing is on par with other cloud providers. FortiGate Cloud is priced similarly to other providers, however, we still need FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.

Fortinet products are just as good as any other competitor, with better management capabilities. It is easier to set up a Fortinet solution than Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

It’s used for security purposes.

It has very good AI intelligence for cybersecurity. Fortinet FortiGate have created a very friendly environment. 

And Fortinet FortiGate effectively starts alerts and detects intruders or viruses. Fortinet FortiGate takes immediate action on viruses like malware or suspicious activities.

The real-time threat intelligence in FortiGate Cloud improves security. The product immediately takes action for the alert in the dashboard. It may alert from the dashboard. We have to take limited action. Many times, the product automatically reduces this, allowing and alerting some intruders’ attacks.

The automated compliance reporting feature is very effective for us and for our clients. 

If I see a ransomware attack, FortiGate immediately takes action and alerts me that it’s a ransomware file or activities.

There is room for improvement in the VPN connection. Compared to other solution, it is harder to connect to the VPN connection in this product. 

It has not been a long time since I started using it. It’s about two or three months. I also worked with tech for FortiGate clients.

I would rate the stability a nine out of ten, with one being low stability and ten being very stable. 

I would rate the scalability a six out of ten, with ten being highly scalable. So, scalability-wise, it could be improved.

I would rate it six out of ten because I don’t have a very good understanding with the software team.

They are not very helpful because of the lack of understanding.

I work with Sophos Central, Winforce Security, Sophos Firewall, and FortiGate.

I preferred always FortiGate because many features, the missing in other products.

It’s quite easy for me because, many times, it’s just active. That’s why it’s easy for me.

It takes just a few minutes to deploy it. Five to fifteen minutes. 

I would rate my experience with the initial setup an eight out of ten, with one being difficult installation and ten being easy. It can be difficult for a client to install. 

I’ve had several clients, and I handled the deployment. So, I deploy solutions for other clients.

We are a company, and FortiGate has tried to help us, as well as help the clients and benefited vendors. But it’s different for the clients and the vendors’ selling capability.

The overall ROI varies from client to client, depending on their security needs and budget. Generally, it’s around 5% to 10% savings.

I would rate the price eight out of ten because some clients are very happy with the pricing.

It’s expensive for several clients, but it’s not expensive for others because their main concern is security. When security is a concern, they don’t think about the price because security is very good. There are many features for which we need to pay more.

So, the security features are actually worth the price. That’s why many clients are not worried about a high price.

I want to recommend this because FortiGate Cloud is a secure product.

Overall, I would rate it an eight out of ten. 

I use the product as a security and networking gateway. I have deployed instances in Azure and AWS as virtual appliances, and my main use cases are for connecting VPNs, routing, and securing connections between the outside and inside of the environment.

The platform's most helpful features for security management include anti-DDoS, antivirus, intrusion prevention, and anti-malware systems. I find it particularly helpful for certificate inspection and setting up anti-DDoS, intrusion prevention, antivirus, and file inspection policies.

They could improve the product features for telemetry and interoperability with third-party monitoring tools. Specifically, better integration with third-party systems and enhanced data metrics would be beneficial.

I have been working with FortiGate Cloud for three years.

The technical support services are good compared to others like Cisco or Juniper. The team is responsive, and most cases are handled promptly.

Integration was straightforward for me. I deployed it from Azure and AWS Marketplace and integrated it with monitoring solutions and FortiAuthenticator using LDAP for authentication.

The solution is relatively cost-effective compared to alternatives like Palo Alto or Cisco. One of the benefits is that the device continues to function without a license, although some features may be limited. The cloud aspect provides flexibility in disaster recovery and cost management. For example, I can shut down and restart the firewall to save on costs, and I recently purchased a reserved instance for a discount.

FortiGate is generally over ten percent more inexpensive than Palo Alto and Cisco. For instance, a FortiGate box costs less than 2000000 Naira, while Palo Alto might range between 3000000 to 4000000 Naira.

Overall, I rate Fortinet FortiGate Cloud a nine out of ten. 

I am a system integrator and I use multiple firewalls, including SonicWall and Fortinet FortiGate Cloud. I'm using multiple brands.

Clients primarily use Fortinet FortiGate Cloud for managing the devices.

The best features in the product offer several advantages. I mainly use it for managing and configuring the appliances, whether it is a switch, firewall, or access point. All these devices can be managed very easily over one place or one point. If I want to change or upgrade a firewall, switch, or access point, it gets pushed very easily. If I want to see if there's a problem with one device, that can be checked. Provisioning can be done very easily.

If I have to add an access point, I simply call my client and let them know that they have it fixed and plugged in, and it will be configured on their network. Zero Touch Provisioning is a key feature. Additionally, if a new internet connection has been added, it can be configured for a particular set of user group or location, so SD-WAN comes into play. Maintaining backups of all those devices is straightforward, and if one fails, I replace it with another device and then it can be put back.

Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is continuously improving, consistently adding and developing products. I don't think there's any scope for improvement as it's got everything. Fortinet stands out. It's more or less the same or slightly better compared to other firewalls such as SonicWall. The scale of operation, availability, and support differentiates it.

The solution is a bit expensive. Pricing is the only concern as it is too expensive.

I've been dealing with Fortinet FortiGate Cloud for about four to five years.

The deployment process is very simple.

The solution is very stable and steady.

Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is very scalable and one of the best in the market. It's highly scalable.

Support from Fortinet is great.

There are significant savings with this solution that doesn't cause any problems or failures.

The savings amount to approximately 60%.

I'm not too deep into integrations recently; the clients that I've been managing have not been asking for much. They're very happy with what is running and they don't want any changes. They just want the security to be taken care of and things to be functioning without breakdowns. For that, the plans are doing pretty good.

There are no concerns regarding security. It's a very well-designed solution without any problems.

On a scale of 1-10, I rate Fortinet FortiGate Cloud a 9.
