Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Cloud procurement has automated requisitions and approvals and delivers stronger purchasing control
The features and capabilities of Oracle E-Business Suite iProcurement that I have found most valuable include its market reputation, its ability to automate all processes such as creating requisitions and receiving items, and its e-commerce interface that allows vendors and suppliers to browse and automate tasks. I was engaged with the team for the initial setup and deployment of Oracle E-Business Suite iProcurement, providing technical support which helped me understand its main features, the use of iProcurement, and why people consider the shopping experience and automation to be excellent, with increased efficiency and control resting with the company's key personnel who oversee notifications and similar functions. The catalog for suppliers to access content and categories makes it a very flexible tool.

Has connected procurement and contracts efficiently while setup and support still require improvements
Support could be faster for critical issues with SAP Ariba Procurement. When patching happens and new releases come out, it can be hit and miss, though mostly it remains reliable. The on-time response is 99.9999%, but the main issue over the years has been with releases and patching. The initial setup of SAP Ariba Procurement is not straightforward. We have been trying to set it up for two and a half years for the council I work with. The personal account login is ready-made and allows landing page adjustments, but the overall software implementation can take forever and requires multiple teams to work on it.

Pros

"The product is easy to use. It is a good tool for developers and business users."
"It has drag-and-drop features, which makes it very fast for us to gather the required data."
"Business analytics provides real-time data that's something other competing companies lack. It uses statistics and graphs to show the performance of the bots which processes are lagging behind and if you need to give priority to certain tasks."
"What I appreciate most about Automation Anywhere is the high degree of interoperability, and they have both on-premises and cloud versions, which allows us to ensure that we are properly following the protocols and ensuring seamless integration with our native systems."
"It can be easily learned by anyone who spends a bit of time with it."
"It is a great solution."
"I realized that Automation Anywhere is much easier, more reliable, and has value for money with good and vast customer support."
"Automation Anywhere is a great tool."
"The features and capabilities of Oracle E-Business Suite iProcurement that I have found most valuable include its market reputation, its ability to automate all processes such as creating requisitions and receiving items, and its e-commerce interface that allows vendors and suppliers to browse and automate tasks."
"It is a scalable product."
"It is a scalable solution."
"The best features are the ease of use and the workflow management that allows me to understand every step in the approval process so that I can forecast the time through my request and its approval."
"SAP Ariba Procurement is worth the money as a tool because it connects all departments in one."
"We made custom enhancements to suite our business process."
"I like the guided buying features."
"Ariba allows us to manage our suppliers seamlessly."
"SAP Ariba Procurement has impacted my organization in many important ways that have been prolonged benefits."
"The PunchOut functionality is fantastic as it makes shopping very easy."
"The best thing about SAP Ariba Procurement, in comparison to a lot of its competitors, is that if the company has someone who knows how to configure it, they can do a lot of the process building themselves."

Cons

"I believe Automation Anywhere needs to improve on product quality. Sometimes it has intermittent issues."
"We have faced some downtime and crashes with the system, but with the cooperation of the Automation Anywhere team, we have been able to contain that."
"We would like it to be more user-friendly."
"It takes a lot of effort to build up the internal infrastructure/topics like Virtual Machine/Security/development-Governance/Usecase-Management."
"We have had a lot of issues using Automation Anywhere and find ourselves stuck."
"Scalability has been a pain point; the scalability is there, but there are ongoing operational issues with it."
"As a developer or user, I feel that the performance of the overall package could be made a little better or reliable. For example, if I'm opening up a heavy Excel file, which is uploaded in some shared drive over the net, and I have my box coded to open that Excel to do some work or formatting on it, and depending on the network load and the size of the file, this client version while trying to access that file becomes unstable at times. It goes into the hang position until a human being comes in, ends the task, and restarts it. Until this happens, it does not respond."
"Automation Anywhere has some limitations."
"There could be a mobile application for the product."
"The interface lags a bit since it is a heavy application."
"SAP could make it easier for people to become SAP Ariba consultants within the SAP ecosystem."
"On the sourcing, it could be easier to import the documents you want, so if you want items to be bid on, it could be a bit easier to import that from a spreadsheet."
"I would like to see more reports coming out of Ariba and more insights because it has to work in connection with SAP. So unless I run SAP and Ariba, I have to run. I am not able to see the utility of Ariba."
"The SAP portion of the procurement is not always obvious or user friendly."
"Ariba Procurement tends to integrate best with other SAP products and is harder to work with if you have non-SAP products in your architecture."
"I would like the solution to be more automatic."
"Gaining access to the sourcing project by the supplier needs improvement."
"During the initial setup process of SAP Ariba Procurement, there were a couple of challenges integrating the same system on our SAP platform."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"While calculating the setup cost you should account for the server, virtual machines, product licenses, maintenance costs, and running costs."
"Pricing is a bit high when compared to other available tools; however, the tool is worth the cost."
"We have seen the tangible benefits of taking monotonous work off people's plates, creating capacity, and cost reductions."
"They are already coming out with a community license, which is really good. That's something that I wish to have."
"The licensing fees are approximately $10,000 USD for between five and ten users."
"In the Indian market, I feel that for mid-size companies, such as ourselves, that having multiple bots costs a lot. If Automation Anywhere wants to expand in the Indian market, they will need to look at their pricing."
"Subscription for Automation Anywhere (AA) is paid yearly."
"The licensing needs to be made simpler or shortened."
"The product is more expensive than one of its competitors."
"The product is somewhat expensive. Only large organizations can handle such an application."
"It is an expensive solution."
"The licensing cost depends on the customer."
"The license is expensive."
