Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Cloud procurement has automated requisitions and approvals and delivers stronger purchasing control
The features and capabilities of Oracle E-Business Suite iProcurement that I have found most valuable include its market reputation, its ability to automate all processes such as creating requisitions and receiving items, and its e-commerce interface that allows vendors and suppliers to browse and automate tasks. I was engaged with the team for the initial setup and deployment of Oracle E-Business Suite iProcurement, providing technical support which helped me understand its main features, the use of iProcurement, and why people consider the shopping experience and automation to be excellent, with increased efficiency and control resting with the company's key personnel who oversee notifications and similar functions. The catalog for suppliers to access content and categories makes it a very flexible tool.

Highly customizable, scalable and seamlessly integrates
Off late, most of my customers, where I see a trend, are long-standing heavily customized major customers on ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) on EBS who want to convert themselves to the cloud, and they expect us to provide the same level of customizations that EBS supports them in the cloud. So that's the challenge where we are currently. We have a few strategic advisory accounts like that, and we are evaluating those customizations to see how we can plug them as part of the solution offering so that the customer retains their current custom behavior and they don't have to deal with too many changes with their users. And that's the biggest change that we are working on. And there is a bundle of such initiatives that we do internally. Custom roles are one such thing. There are several areas of improvement. In the procurement cloud, we have today the landed cost management, where there's a lot of flexibility, which has been given on the cloud side in terms of costing. So the license and pricing have become a little complex area. And then auto management has completely changed in the cloud, the way the pricing strategy has been. It's been more complex and more flexible in the cloud. So that's the second area where we see challenges. These two, plus yes, now with self-service procurement, the dynamics have changed in global procurement, where the corporate will do the billing and invoicing, and we can do it from any big use, placing purchase orders and all that, the consolidation and the dynamics of testing. So these are some of the things which have greater flexibility, but at the same time, there is complexity in terms of implementation. We try to implement everything within the same window of the same customer window of six months. In future releases, I would like to see the idea of automating the period close process, which would be beneficial for sustenance after go-live. It is more like sustenance, both go live. If there is a mechanism where the period close can be automated, or it can be if the product can come up with a dashboard specifically for that, which ties with the sequence of the sub-ledgers, what are the conflicts to close the sub-ledger areas to facilitate and close the ledger area? Which consumer buying? That's one initiative or one idea that I'm thinking about. There are quite a few like that, which are more from the sustenance standpoint, more than the implementation standpoint.

Pros

"Automation Anywhere is fully configurable."
"Without thinking twice, I would recommend going for Automation Anywhere."
"One good thing in A2019 is that all products of Automation Anywhere, like IQBOT services, Meta Bot Designer, Discovery Bot, and Control room are all together in one product which is very effective for any business team."
"The ability to automate renewals of government licenses four times a year is valuable."
"Having no restriction for any single programming language is very useful."
"The overall developer client has an easy-to-use UI."
"I recommend Automation Anywhere to other users because it minimizes repetitive human tasks, saves time, and helps reduce costs."
"It has taken a lot of manual Excel manipulation that we have previously did, and removed that work away from people who did that for ten hours a day, five days a week, allowing us to refocus our resources into more value-add activities and simplifying our landscape."
"It is a scalable solution."
"The features and capabilities of Oracle E-Business Suite iProcurement that I have found most valuable include its market reputation, its ability to automate all processes such as creating requisitions and receiving items, and its e-commerce interface that allows vendors and suppliers to browse and automate tasks."
"It is a scalable product."
"Oracle is suitable for those large enterprises that heavily rely on customizations."

Cons

"It could be improved in terms of the global analysis of all the issues caused by the dependency components. For example, if bots are running on virtual machines on Microsoft Windows 2019, sometimes an issue might come from the virtual machine. Automation Anywhere should work closely with Microsoft or any other editor with which there are some issues occurring and stopping the bots from running properly."
"Also, the Master certification should be provided free of cost for partners."
"There are a lot of issues in the tool. There are a lot of breakdowns."
"Their technical support is good, but it could be better."
"Automation Anywhere is not as flexible as Process Studio."
"We encountered issues during the upgrade of the framework. We were using the older framework of version 10.3.5. When we were upgrading, we were having a few issues in terms of getting the proper hardware and software prerequisites. For some things, like getting the controls of some of the application's tools, we were getting Automation Anywhere's help."
"It would be great if they could do more third-party Salesforce integrations into the RPA side, which would be helpful."
"Automation Anywhere is easy to use, even if you lack technical skills. People without deep technical expertise can easily develop scenarios."
"There could be a mobile application for the product."
"The interface lags a bit since it is a heavy application."
"Off late, most of my customers, where I see a trend, are long-standing heavily customized major customers on ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) on EBS who want to convert themselves to the cloud, and they expect us to provide the same level of customizations that EBS supports them in the cloud. Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price for Automation Anywhere is reasonable."
"Its price is competitive with all other products in the market."
"Our company is investing a lot of money in Automation Anywhere. They have saved money wherever humans are working. They invest a lot of money in FTEs and other logistics, so the money saving is very pretty good with Automation Anywhere. While I don't know the exact figure, the tool is saving us millions of dollars as well as saving about 40,000 hours in the last year."
"In the Indian market, I feel that for mid-size companies, such as ourselves, that having multiple bots costs a lot. If Automation Anywhere wants to expand in the Indian market, they will need to look at their pricing."
"We're on a license package with Automation Anywhere (AA), paid yearly. What would be better is for them to have different packages for different types of organization."
"One of the things that will be good for the community will be to get the free version to download, which came out just a month ago called Community Edition. So, you can actually download it and try it for yourself."
"The pricing and licensing of Automation Anywhere plays an important rule in the Indian market because in the Indian market $10,000 USD is too much. Hence, the pricing tends to go down depending on the customer relationship with the partner: A starter pack is $10,000 and an enterprise pack is $100,000. If you go through an implementation partner, you can get good deals. They can save some money."
"On a scale of one to ten with ten being the most expensive, I rate the price of Automation Anywhere an eight out of ten."
"The product is more expensive than one of its competitors."
"The product is somewhat expensive. Only large organizations can handle such an application."
