Service provider recognizes effective project tracking and reporting capabilities
Regarding integration with various development tools, I can provide examples, and I am using customizable dashboards in OpenText ALM _ Quality Center, which definitely help identify project bottlenecks. As for the scalability of OpenText ALM _ Quality Center, there are limitations, particularly in agile methodologies, which is currently my main concern.

Good data security, allowing local installations to prevent data from going to the internet
There were a lot of issues we faced. One notable improvement would be better API integration within the tool itself, as we still rely on external tools like Postman. Additionally, expanding language support beyond C#, Java, and JavaScript to include Python would be beneficial. An AI feature that automatically detects automation object properties and suggests actions would be a great addition. So, in future releases, AI solutions for automated property identification would be helpful.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable Quality Center feature, I find, is the solution's integration with some of our automation tools. For us, the ability to capture and record and the ease of use from a user perspective, are all key."
"Lab Management is a valuable feature, because you have a 360 view."
"Quality management, project management from a QA perspective - testing, defect management, how testing relates back to requirements."
"It empowers us to do more testing, our testing is being done for customers, and the solution enables us to conduct risk-based testing by linking requirements of a certain risk factor and showing in a report once they are covered."
"The best thing is that you can see your current status in real time... To see real-time updates, you just log in to ALM and you can see exactly what the progress is. You can also see if the plan for the day is being executed properly, and it's all tracked. From the management side, I find those features very valuable."
"The setup is pretty straightforward."
"You can do your development from start to finish: starting with the requirements, ending with defects, and testing in-between having everything in one tool and be able to validate everything up and down in the SDLC."
"As a system administrator, HPE ALM can be flexibly configured so that it can accommodate a variety of defined project lifecycles and test methodologies."
"By using this product, we have been able to explore some more advanced strategies in developing our automation which has been able to carry over to other automation teams."
"Support is very quick; you can write to them and on the same day they will respond, and this is one of the best features."
"It is easy to install and use, the user interface is very good, and we moved onto this one as it provided an all-in-one solution for web, mobile, and multi-technology product testing where our previous tool failed."
"In this particular area Ranorex proved to be a perfect choice."
"Customer Service: Ranorex’s customer service is outstanding."
"Overall, it's a good product."
"Easy to use - without any dev skills you can automate some nice things C# or VB.NET is used for development, and you can find a lot of information online Fast email support and a forum with several experienced users and Ranorex employees on it Online webinars to help you get started We can combine Ranorex with Jenkins and JIRA."
"Ranorex is more up-to-date and provides more support for testing."

Cons

"QC comes with a high license and maintenance cost, it is more suitable for large projects in terms of cost."
"Micro Focus ALM Quality Center should improve the reports. Reporting on tax execution progress against the plan. However, they might have improved over two years since I have used the solution."
"Technical support is not that great. We really need to push to get HPE support to provide a resolution for technical issues."
"The extract format is not ideal, splitting expected results into three line items, making interpretation difficult."
"There needs to be improvement in the requirement samples. At the moment, they are very basic."
"Only Internet Explorer is supported. That is a big problem."
"Performance issues are very common. The degradation of performance and consequent failures continuously happen."
"Recently, I faced some issues while using the product on Mac-based machines, as I was unable to upload test cases."
"The object detection functionality needs to be improved. We have found that when you are selecting objects by moving the mouse, and then the position of these objects change in the newer versions of the application, the test tool fails to correctly identify them."
"I would like to see Ranorex come up with a load balancing tool for test execution."
"The solution does not support dual or regression testing."
"I think it still needs to improve a lot."
"If there are many queries on the web page, Ranorex will not render the page correctly. I had about 1,000 queries on the page, and the solution was not able to handle it."
"It's the biggest drawback of Ranorex that it's limited to one operating system."
"The solution has good quality and functionality but I would not recommend it because of its unfamiliarity in the market."
"It would be nice to have a way to indicate the coverage of the tests of the application."

"If you have more than five users, a concurrent licensing model should be considered."
"This is an expensive solution."
"Pricing could be improved as it's high-priced. I don't exactly know the pricing point, but previously, I know that it was really high so less people were able to use it for their projects."
"It has several limitations in adapting its agility easily."
"Micro Focus ALM Quality Center is very expensive. The price is approximately £2,000 per person, they are too expensive to corner the market."
"It is an expensive tool. I think one needs to pay 10,000 USD towards the perpetual licensing model."
"The licensing fees depend on the number of users."
"Licensing fees are paid on a yearly basis."
