Seamless subsidiary operation visibility with efficient accounting consolidation
One of the most valuable features that I appreciate is the ability to consolidate operations across subsidiaries, which makes accounting consolidation great. The multicurrency reevaluation offered by OneWorld enables consolidation from different branches, such as country or continent levels, making it a powerful feature. Additionally, there is visibility into all operations within the subsidiaries, facilitating awareness of sales, purchases, and manufacturing activities.

Offers extensive features for efficient operations in small to midsize businesses
The solution is very good. However, for very small companies, maybe a cloud service is better. Other software like QuickBooks may work well if you do not have many employees and require simple invoicing and inventory. This software, though, is a bit more advanced compared to QuickBooks, offering flexibility, multi-user capability, and options for application development. It connects directly to the database for reporting or external systems, which is beneficial for companies needing more advanced features. However, if I need a very complex system, Sage might not be suitable. Overall, I would rate this product an eight out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"NetSuite OneWorld, the consolidation feature has been incredibly valuable. However, I cannot speak to the full range of features and functionalities offered by OneWorld as I am not familiar with all of them. I have utilized OneWorld primarily in the biotech industry, with a focus on operating expenses and financial reporting, such as capital contributions and foreign currency adjustments. I am confident, however, that OneWorld offers a robust module for reporting and consolidating revenue, though I have not had the opportunity to directly utilize this aspect of the software."
"We've set up Jira integration and used robotic process automation (RPA) to streamline various processes, like procurement and invoicing. Some processes still require manual approval, like supplier invoices, but we're simplifying those too. We're also exploring integrating with other tools like Power BI for better data analytics and reporting. Currently, our automation focuses on general tasks, not document understanding or anything complex like that."
"Embedded business intelligence is a valuable feature. There is also no need to wait for extract functions, and each transaction is reflected in the system dashboards in real time."
"The technical support is very good, and we also have local support here in India."
"Basic accounting and finance: order to cash, procure to pay, and reporting."
"The ability to customize it to create custom fields that are reportable, and then to be able to write script behind it to automate other processes that might otherwise be manual is great."
"We've been extremely happy with the solution."
"Allows us to use it the way we need to instead of changing our needs and processes to fit the product."
"Regarding the cost, it is cheap. I pay a one-time fee instead of a monthly license fee per user."
"For me, it is a ten because I did not have any problems or issues."
"The technical support is very good."
"The product provides consistent updates and upgrades."
"The warehouse module is imperative in keeping our records up-to-date because we have multiple locations."

Cons

"Needs time entry for billable employees."
"Currently, NetSuite OneWorld needs to be more mature, especially compared to SAP."
"The performance could be improved as this is a 100% software as a service platform. If a faster solution is desired, a separate dedicated machine must be hired, which is not what customers necessarily need."
"If you were to use standard costs, it doesn't handle standard costs well."
"In NetSuite OneWorld, what needs improvement is the production planning functionality."
"The asnwer is "Not Yet", unfortunately Netsuite not contemplate a robust WMS nor Complex Manufacturing production processes solution."
"I don’t like the SaaS models. Of course, they make the tool powerful enough to run a billion-dollar business. The tool is cheaper than SAP or Core."
"There is not a 20 year pedigree of pharma experience in the NetSuite channel."
"While the software may not be very expensive, it lacks many advanced features found in other software."
"We're definitely looking at a new system because everything in this product needs improving."
"Updating incorrect information takes a specific process to correctly back out the error to fix it."
"The vendor stopped supporting the solution on the Linux platform."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"NetSuite OneWorld has fair pricing. It was not very expensive, so price-wise, I'm rating it as five out of ten."
"NetSuite OneWorld is much less expensive for a very small to medium-sized business. Still, when you grow into an enterprise-level company, the price increases, but as long as you plan and know that going in, it's manageable."
"NetSuite OneWorld tends to be pricey. The decision to allocate a budget for this solution ultimately rests with the management and negotiating team, and I am not typically included in these discussions. Nonetheless, the information I've received leads me to believe that it is a costly platform. There are not any additional costs that I am aware of."
"The tool is an expensive cloud application. It charges per license. We pay around 50 euros per month for a full user, and for 70 users, we pay around 120,000 euros per year. Maintenance and support are included in the full cloud license."
"I would rate the pricing of the solution somewhere around six or seven out of ten. I don’t like the SaaS models. Of course, they make the tool powerful enough to run a billion-dollar business. The tool is cheaper than SAP or Cor"
"Measure twice, cut once."
"Consider the roles of the employees who will use NetSuite and identify any groups who will only utilize the employee center. These licenses are cheaper and will reduce costs significantly."
"Good solution for the price, but hire a skilled project manager to handle the technical setup."
"The pricing is reasonable."
