Offers extensive features for efficient operations in small to midsize businesses
The solution is very good. However, for very small companies, maybe a cloud service is better. Other software like QuickBooks may work well if you do not have many employees and require simple invoicing and inventory. This software, though, is a bit more advanced compared to QuickBooks, offering flexibility, multi-user capability, and options for application development. It connects directly to the database for reporting or external systems, which is beneficial for companies needing more advanced features. However, if I need a very complex system, Sage might not be suitable. Overall, I would rate this product an eight out of ten.

Areas of SAP S_4HANA that could be improved or enhanced include the evolving aspects of the application over time. There are other SAP applications such as SuccessFactors and Ariba that integrate with SAP S_4HANA. In recent years, SAP introduced an addition called RISE with SAP, which allows companies to use cloud solutions instead of requiring their own premises hardware. SAP partners with cloud providers such as Azure, Amazon, and Google, assisting companies in migrating from hardware to cloud solutions. A challenge that arises is the lack of immediate expertise when raising tickets for problem resolution with SAP, leading to delays. We have asked SAP to improve this area to provide users with better benefits from the cloud solution, as we encounter this issue frequently.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The warehouse module is imperative in keeping our records up-to-date because we have multiple locations."
"Regarding the cost, it is cheap. I pay a one-time fee instead of a monthly license fee per user."
"The technical support is very good."
"The product provides consistent updates and upgrades."
"For me, it is a ten because I did not have any problems or issues."
"The most useful features of SAP S4HANA are the consolidation reports. The BI is very strong and the manufacturing and finance sections we like a lot."
"We are able to get all our processes flowing together, and we are able to make all of our business processes talk to each other."
"It provides a cohesive user interface, even when building applications outside SAP with the OpenUI framework, offering a seamless customer experience."
"Only SAP payroll products can handle data management in IT and HR, processing millions of payrolls monthly for big organizations. S/4HANA payroll can manage massive volumes of data, process payroll in minutes, and provide outcomes. Other applications cannot process more than 4000-5000, but SAP S/4HANA payroll has been proven for 30-40 years."
"I am really happy to use HANA since it is highly syndicated with public office systems."
"The latest version from SAP is highly valued."
"The product rating is ten out of ten."
"The solution's new UI called Fiori is user friendly."

Cons

"We're definitely looking at a new system because everything in this product needs improving."
"Updating incorrect information takes a specific process to correctly back out the error to fix it."
"While the software may not be very expensive, it lacks many advanced features found in other software."
"The vendor stopped supporting the solution on the Linux platform."
"SAP S/4HANA is a robust front-end solution compared to other web technologies available. However, screen design in SAP EFI might not be as extensive."
"The user experience could improve. In recent years, SAP has acquired different third-party applications and integrated them into SAP S_4HANA, which was a good opportunity for users. However, as a consultant and super user, I believe SAP S_4HANA is a good tool, but the user experience takes time to learn."
"With the public cloud, now everything is being pushed into BTP. This has created challenges, as it requires us to redo our coding and development."
"We would like to see more DevOps capabilities in the future."
"It is expensive to implement SAP in companies, making it an area of concern where improvements are required."
"There are certain limitations of the cloud version for customization."
"The cost of the solution is quite high. It needs to be adjusted."
"The platform could improve by simplifying the analytics processes, which currently require significant preparatory work outside the platform."
