Integrated academic workflows have transformed how our institution manages courses and results
For Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, every time we need to make an adjustment, we must make a payment, which is slightly expensive for us as an organization. There are certain modifications we'd like to make, and those come with a cost. The licensing is also very expensive, so if the prices could be revisited, especially for educational institutions, that would be really helpful. Otherwise, it has proven to be a very good tool for us as an organization. I chose a rating of nine for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central because it has been very useful for us as an organization, but there are still a few improvements that need to be made. Sometimes we experience glitches when generating certain reports, and every time we need to make a modification, we have to pay for that. Thus, I will not give it a ten because there are a few areas needing improvement.

Accurate reporting and customization options deliver reliable business solutions
SAP Business All-in-One is used for the mid-sized market. Their main areas are reporting, inventory valuations, and inventory limit management. The system doesn't allow negative inventory. This ERP helps organizations manage their financials, inventory, productions, fixed assets, and budgeting. We can customize it by creating add-ons and linking them with SAP Business All-in-One, making integration very easy. SAP Business All-in-One is not specific to any module. We can access and learn all modules including sales and distribution, procurement, production, and financial aspects. We can develop Crystal Reports that are SQL-based and query-based reporting. It is a good product and ERP system to run and use, with many large companies using it for their financial operations.

Pros

"It is a scalable solution. There are more than 5,000 end users in my organization."
"We are getting more features after switching to Microsoft 365."
"Microsoft Dynamics NAV's most valuable feature is the integration with other Microsoft solutions."
"This is a robust solution, and I like the integration with Power BI wherein we are able to deploy multiple reports along with Power BI and have access to all the reports we need in one dashboard, which is very useful for us and for the sales department in particular."
"The initial setup is easy."
"The most valuable features of Business Central for me are its seamless integration with Power BI and the ability to create customized reports."
"It's quite reliable, and there's a good local provider who can adapt the solution for tax issues."
"It improved our productivity and streamlined our processes."
"Go for SAP Products because of their business processes/features, stability, and scalability, which include backward and forward integration with any third party applications."
"SAP Business All-in-One gave them accurate reporting and also provided a solution to hide their recipes and bill of materials from unauthorized users."

Cons

"There is a lot of improvement needed in the top model, such as better integration with logistics, quality management, and data modeling for all revenue types."
"I wouldn't say that Microsoft Dynamics is very scalable."
"The human resources module could be improved."
"The solution could include the retail tool in the native version. Currently, it is sold as a separate product."
"There is a need for improvement in consolidation and multi-country master data management."
"Microsoft Dynamics NAV could be improved in terms of exporting income statements and balance sheets. Currently, there is a feature, but you can only have the last three years."
"In sales and marketing, we want improvement in workflow with more automation in the sales and marketing process."
"There is room for improvement in the ability to reverse or correct transactions more easily."
"SAP Business All-in-One needs to improve their production module as it is very limited."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I give the solution a seven out of ten for pricing."
"I think the pricing is the best; it's cost effective for sure."
"The cost is one of the benefits. If you don't want to go for the full-blown finance and operations, the pricing model is a lot cheaper and has now switched to being based on a per-user subscription. So, if it's on cloud, you now have an expense instead of a large CapEx. If it's on-prem, you obviously still have to continue with the licensing model that they have, but if you compare the features and functionality, in terms of the price that you pay, I find it's better than other products. My answer on the pricing would be slightly different, depending on the country you're in and the return on investment, based on the size of the company. It's well-priced internationally. I think the new model is priced even better because it's now subscription-based and, if you go for cloud, the return on investment is a lot quicker and if it's expense, you can cap it. If you do take the on-prem version, the licensing is still priced as what it used to be, so that would depend on what country you are in."
"I have some subscription-based customer and a few customers who have perpetual licenses that hosted the application on the cloud."
"The on-premises model of Dynamics NAV is very expensive, hence our plan to migrate to Dynamics 365 Business Central, which appears to fit our needs better in terms of pricing. Compared to competitors, the cloud version of Dynamics is in the middle; not too high and not too low."
"We have an agreement with Microsoft and pricing is okay for us."
"I would rate the pricing of this solution at three out of five."
"The solution's cost is reasonable."
