Centralized device management has automated onboarding and improves remote security compliance
One thing I feel Microsoft Intune could improve is troubleshooting visibility. In many cases, when a policy or application deployment fails, the error messages are a bit generic. So, admins still spend time checking logs manually or testing on devices one by one. Compared to the simplicity of deployment, troubleshooting sometimes feels less mature. I also think reporting and real-time monitoring could be stronger. The dashboard gives useful information, but in large environments, many teams still depend on additional tools or scripts for deeper reporting and analytics. If I had to focus on one area first, I would probably choose troubleshooting and reporting. Deployment through Microsoft Intune is generally straightforward, but when something fails, identifying the exact root cause can still take more time than expected. Error messages are sometimes too generic, and admins often have to dig through logs, sync status, or multiple portals to understand what actually happened. I think user experience and policy management could also improve further. Microsoft Intune has become much better over the years, but sometimes the admin portal still feels fragmented because certain configurations open in different sections or redirect to older interfaces. For new admins, especially, it can take time to understand where everything is located. Another thing is policy conflict handling. In larger organizations, multiple device policies, compliance rules, and configuration profiles can overlap. When conflicts happen, the visibility is not always very clear, so admins spend time figuring out which policy actually won or caused the issue.

Centralized secret management has streamlined daily operations but still needs automation features
Unfortunately, we don't use Infisical's automated key rotation. For now, we rotate the secrets ourselves. We've not tried to improve Infisical, so I don't know if there are enhancements planned. We aim to explore using it with AI models and HCP server features implementation with Infisical. We consider having an agent that generates secrets instead of doing it manually. If a file or a secret is needed, the agent might generate it for us based on a specified pattern for the kind of secrets we want, including the length. This would be efficient, as we want to save engineering time. For example, with certificate keys already generated, we currently have to manually copy and put them into the Infisical UI. If an agent could handle that for us, it would be great.

Helpful impact analysis and the discovery capability is quite good
This tool works hand-in-hand with RPA technology. RPA will allow you to control your servers by deploying the server automation agent. You don't have the discovery, but then you can deploy the policies that maintain the authorized versus current state. On top of that, you can use server automation to deploy patches or remediate configuration issues on the operating system. My advice to anybody who is implementing this solution is to ensure that the process is set up properly, first. Once the process is set up, the tool will do the rest for you. Overall, this is a comprehensive tool that works well, and I wouldn't touch it other than to enhance the UI and make containerization work without the CDF. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The user experience is good; we could work and deploy many controls through Microsoft Intune."
"What I like most about Microsoft Intune is that it's agile and easy to deploy, and it covers the maximum number of policies."
"The product is very useful in terms of Windows Information Protection."
"Microsoft Intune not only saves costs by reducing the number of personnel needed but also offers a comprehensive solution for managing laptops, applications, security, individual access, and enrollment."
"The ability to work from all over the planet is valuable. You just need a functioning and working Internet connection."
"The Autopilot feature is fantastic. It is a Microsoft product, so it deals best with Microsoft operating systems, but it can integrate with iOS, Mac OS, Linux, and Android."
"Autopilot is the most valuable feature."
"Its price is reasonable. It is a part of our M365 suite."
"Infisical has improved security significantly and makes it very easy for all developers to update, delete, and restore environment variables or secrets while keeping them in a very secure manner on our self-hosted infrastructure."
"Infisical is a great tool to manage all your secrets and rather than just a tool, I think it is a lifesaver that people can use to make their software development much easier, especially when they are using it with the proper team."
"Infisical had a positive impact on my organization, even in its proof-of-concept phase, because it integrated more seamlessly into the development environment."
"Infisical has positively impacted my organization by helping us transition from deploying everything manually, where we had to copy-paste all the environment variables into the environment files in the cloud, by dynamically injecting all the tokens and secrets into the workflow, which was very fast and saved a lot of time."
"At this point in time, it's one of our primary services that we use in the company and we can't do without it."
"Infisical has had a positive impact on my organization because it has helped me manage secrets in a much faster way, and all the people in the mobile or web development departments can integrate with the ecosystem quickly thanks to its SDK."
"Infisical has had a positive impact on my organization mainly in the level of security regarding the use of passwords that give direct access to the server."
"The main positive impact is that it saves a lot of time because there is no need to worry about security vulnerabilities that can occur."
"Overall, this is a comprehensive tool that works well, and I wouldn't touch it other than to enhance the UI and make containerization work without the CDF."
"Automatic Spiral Discovery: This feature enables deep and dynamic configuration and change management."
"The most valuable feature is the impact analysis."
"Helps me perform changes in connected infrastructure thanks to the discovery features."
"We use it for managing our desktops; we have 350,000 desktops and it allows us to manage and control them relatively easily."

Cons

"Those are the two features that did not impress me much, and currently with other customers I am improving them with Microsoft directly."
"One area for improvement is app deployment. Another is the Windows update rollout. If you're rolling out an object to a device that's offline, Intune stops trying to reach this device after it sits idle for a bit. We are forced to find a workaround that could help manage that."
"Microsoft Intune could enhance its patch management for various devices, ensuring regular updates and tracking of device privileges."
"Without changing it, you cannot deploy it, so that's a limitation from the Microsoft Intune side."
"Microsoft Intune lacks the ability to provide seamless remote assistance or remote control."
"There is no catalog for mobile access management (MAM) security."
"There is room for improvement in server patch management and allowing direct uploads of EXE applications instead of needing to convert them to Intune format, which would save time."
"In the next release, I would like a feature to be able to properly lock down the device. For example, if an attacker or somebody steals the phone, you can be sure that the pin cannot be broken."
"Better documentation is needed."
"One area that could be improved further is automation around the full secret lifecycle."
"When we scan Infisical using the Trivy vulnerability scanning tool, we found issues with Infisical CLI Go binaries that are not updated with the latest version."
"One thing that kept frustrating me was that sometimes Infisical was not working from our cloud machine."
"Unfortunately, we don't use Infisical's automated key rotation."
"From a features perspective, there is a little lag when running projects and importing particular secret variables."
"The native UI should be simplified because it is outdated and a little bit over-complicated."
"It needs dashboards."
"The infrastructure itself is stable, but the agent has a lot of problems."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I don't have any problem as far as cost is concerned. It is bundled with our license."
"It is reasonable. When you have Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 license, it is already licensed in that license. So, you could say it is free."
"It is cheap, but as compared to Google, it is costly. Google is cheaper, but quality-wise, Microsoft Intune is better."
"Its price is in the medium range. It is acceptable because you're paying for the features. I am not aware of any additional costs."
"The Intune license model is costly."
"In terms of the product price and licensing costs, my company finds the product to be reasonably priced."
"Licensing depends on how you are providing support to your enterprise, whether it's device-based or user-based."
"It comes with the E5 plan. We bought the E5 plan from Microsoft."
